I'm probably on about the same timeline as you. I'm planning to install the Polk MM840 subwoofer with JBL GTO-501EZ amp and was looking for some feedback on performance. I already replaced the dash and soundbar speakers with Infinity Kappa 629i, 2 ohm speakers. That was a huge upgrade in performance so just need a little more bass. I going to try to install the amp under front passenger seat. I wish you were a little bit closer so maybe we could get together for an install party!!

Sounds like you're on track. I have Polks in hand to replace the others as well. Planning to use MDF for the spacer/adapter, and wrap it in dynamat. Also lining the enclosure in dynamat. Was thinking same place for amp, unless I can come up with something else.

Yep - inspired and confirmed once Bad Dog posted his pics. I MUCH prefer this look to having the white lettering on the outside.

This jeep is verifying what I always suspected about my TJ. It gets better gas mileage around town than on the highway. Above 65 the pushing a big brick down the road affect takes a lot of gas. Overall I'm impressed though, getting 20mpg around town if I drive conservatively. On the highway < 65 I'm getting 18 - 19.5. Over 65its more like 16.5 - 17. Overall better than my 2 door TJ at around 15.

Going for a unique look and I think with only two doors first of all and now having soft half doors I think I got it.

Looks great, are you running without side mirrors? What half doors are you using and do they close well?

I've had my 10th Anniversary Unlimited Rubi since 4/20 and I'm a newbie! I've been loving it! Yes it wanders a little and definately doesn't like the wind, but what do you expect for a anvil colored brick on wheels. I have been getting around 16 mpg locally and around 17.5 mpg hwy (of course it will get over 20 mph going down hill with a tail wind on the highway). I did however immediately install aftermarket parts being AFE 3" Exhaust, AFE CAI and Throttle body Spacer. It was a huge difference in the "getup and go" catagory. I definately suggest the changeout, but realize... that the 3" exhaust with smaller muffler definately makes an awesome mean growl, but definately increases low muffler sound in the cabin.
If anyone is interested my dealer "Canandaigua Chrysler" has a 2 door Rubi 10th anniversary for sale...Anvil with Red Leather, body matching roof and fenders.

Is undercoating by the dealer recommended or not? Dealer said the charge to do so is $400.

Appreciate your thoughts and opinions.
Ziebart it and make sure you get rust proofing and not undercoating.

They are Bestop soft half doors and only cost 250 with free shipping. Latch included and installed after installing doors. You get the latch in and then there are two bolts at front of doors near bottom that you loosen and adjust so that when the latch gets to the catch on Jeep the point of the latch is just about going to hit it directly. When I first installed the pass side I had it set a little lower than that and it rattled but the drivers didn't so I looked at them real close and that is when I saw I already had the drives side set as I said.

Putting on the Ruggedridge quick release mirrors tonight, got dark last night before I could finish.

Anyone know what the little holes on the back of the center console, outboard of the window switches are?

My jeep is currently in D1 status and cannot wait to get it! In the mean time, had a few questions for those who have theirs already and had issues with the hardtops misaligned :

1) If the tops were misaligned when you picked it up, is the fix simply to re-align/re-seat? Or is the misalignment a mechanical roll bar related issue that can't be fixed?

2) Is the misalignment the only thing that contributes to leaking? Or are their known issues with the seals themselves?

3) This question might be a tad redundant, but for those that have had leaks, what did you do? Replace seals? Realign the tops? Return to dealer?

This is my first jeep and just trying to arm myself with solutions in the event that I have these issues with mine...

My tops were visible misaligned at pickup. I just removed and reseated them. Went thru a car wash to double check and no leaks at all.

I believe it is a cabin temperature sensor for the Auto Climate Control system.

Called IAMJEEP they had no new news to offer, logged onto VOTS and jeepstatus, currently showing KZX. Provided this is correct, looks like I am just standing by for a call from the dealer stating ready for pickup. Might call the dealer later today to see if it is actually on the lot.

Mine are misaligned and have the same concerns. Doctorsti has same condition but apparently no leaks. I've tried realigning by removing/reseating but no joy. Will prob test first with just water - don't want cleaning solution leaking in!

Has anyone raised this with their dealer? Curious as to any "official" diagnosis.

I installed them and used the original screws. You shouldn't have to force anything.

I had a leak about 2 weeks ago when it rained. Took it to the dealer last Friday and they only reset the seals.
We had more rain that day and they parked it outside then ran it thru the sprayers. No more leak.
They said there were no adjustments they could do and most of the other new jeeps on the dealer lot had misaligned panels.

I swapped the panels from my 2010 Sport and those actually lined up a little better. The 10A panels I put on the Sport were misaligned.
Could it be possible that the problem could be with the panels?? I may bring this up to the dealer if I get a leak again.

I swapped them back the way there because I didn’t want to cause any leaks in the Sport.

Did not see this anywhere, could have missed it, for those with the 430N unit, what are your thoughts on it? Would it have been worth the difference in $ to order a 730N, or not? Reading through the threads it seems to be quite mixed on which one over the other works better for NAV and SAT sound.
Bottom line... a radio is a radio, but I do tend to use NAV and SAT often, just wondering if the 430N with GARMIN interface works as expected or is of a lower quality than you would expect with a new system.

I am really impressed with the 430N and I love the garmin maps! I have had no issues with it and I have used a 730N in friends vehicle and I feel the 430N is superior to the 730N.

The 730N has dead reckoning navigation so when you lose your signal it calculates your position according to speed. Its nice when your going over the HRBT.
It also has Bluetooth hands free, Bluetooth streaming, voice commands and Xm nav-traffic. In the 4 days I've had mine I've used all of these features fairly extensively.
Personally I won't by a car without hands free calling if its an option. I don't talk on the phone much, but when I do, I don't want to get a ticket.

Mine finally arrived at the dealer today! Ordered February 13. It has been in Rolla, CO waiting for a truck for over two weeks. I'm hoping to get someone to cover my call for an afternoon otherwise will be waiting until Monday.

The 430N has all of the features you just mentioned minus the XM-Nav Traffic and the ability to use the voice to input navigation requests.

My 430N I use for bluetooth streaming, and bluetooth hands free, also I use the voice commands quite a bit. Not to mention I also love the Garmin over the Chrysler nav.

But in the end if you must have voice commands for navigation (such as speaking out the address you want to drive too) then I would recommend the 730N. Also both nav units give feedback (such as turn left turn right etc).

You have caught the 10a bug, sick to the stomach about not being able to go get it. Sounds legit enough for me LOL

I have the 430N in my JKU and it is not compatible for traffic. I have tried time and time again to get it to work with XM on the phone with me. When I researched it, all I could find is that the 430N was not compatible. Am I doing something wrong? Is there an update I need to do?
