Ohhhhh im sorry your "Mr car guru".... the moab is selling for the same amount in my area as the 10th ann model. also my folks didn't purchase it for me like yourself. Yea now i can tell your definetly a youngster. some rich kid that doesn't know the value of a dollar. if you are older you must be moron, because the comments coming out of your mouth sound ridiculous.

As i said prior let's not turn this into a hondatech or evom forum battle. i was expecting a much more civilized crowd. your just making eveyone else on here look bad. i was looking to find more info on this rather then engage of a battle of wits with a retard...

As for posting pics, its obivous you don't have one because you haven't posted any yet. nice try kid.. and please try to get some real ones not ones you found on the net of someone elses.

ignorant punk??? you posted you ordered a 10th annversary model how long ago?? you were supposed to get it when in mid may?? why don't you have yet ? let alone why do you only have 1 thread on this forum since you joined?? it seems to me like you have no idea what your talking about, and your just trying to act like you do. try again junior.... i was trying to sit back and enjoy this thread until you started attacking me. this is a public and free forum. I'm allowed to say as i please as long as it meets the guidelines of the forum rules on here.

I suggest you get your education evaluated because apparently you don't have any education the way your posts are written.

Wow you really are a moron. First you have no concept as to what a 10a is worth nor do u want to listen to anyone that does. I wasnt the only one to call u out. Your the one who showed their ignorance by trying to act like u knew more than those on here that knew more than u. Then u say a 10a (ltd edition rubicon) and a moab(modified sahara) should be the same. Just wow. Mine since u asked is at the dealer having its mods added to it. I did not mind paying a true fair price like the others on here have. Sorry to deflate your ego as to me not really having one. Hope u wake up in time to get one. You would like it.

donmeca2020,
I see your point. KBB is a guide as well as true car.com and others. But based on the amounts folks have paid for 10As, 10% below MSRP is a better and more realistic guide. But as with all Wranglers, it will depend on your region. In Florida(when I visited last), Wranglers are popular, and with it being top down season, your dealers are trying to increase their profits. As more and more 10As are seen on the road, that will possibly increase the demand for them while the number of 10As available is reaching that 5000 limit. Anvil is more popular now as folks see them in person(along with the red seats). I can tell you, when I pre-ordered my 10A in January, I had to explain to the dealer what it was and how much I was willing to pay. Based on this thread alone, I got 3.9% below invoice(close to the 10% below MSRP). When I went to pick it up, the dealer had my paperwork marked at full MSRP. I had to pull out my signed Purchase Agreement showing the agreed upon price. I don't know if the original sales manager was the same guy, but by April , they had realized they could have sold the 10A for a little more profit. If you can find a good deal on a 10A within a reasonable distance, go for it! I drove 60 miles to order mine because my local dealers who knew about the 10A wanted $ for a deposit and would not go more than $400 below invoice. Good Luck with your search! BTW, I was interested in the MOAB too, but that red leather was calling me!!

Thanks Drmad, this is the kind of helpful info im looking for i just made an offer on another anvil grey model, let's see where it goes. i would love to get one locally to me, but i also wouldn't mind driving abit away even almost into northern or central florida to pick one up. as for the MOAB i really like the the crush color moab. only problem is it appears certain colors of moabs and 10 ann models come to florida. i have yet to see a orange moab listed here, as well as 10th ann in any other color besides anvil, white, black, billet.

No problem. WranglerForum has been very helpful in making me spend money! I actually traded a 13 Sahara Crush in for the 10A. That is an awesome color, but was almost too much for me. I get enough stares simply being a Black guy wearing a cowboy hat in Ohio! The Anvil color is the only reason I was willing to take the hit on trading in the Crush. And the 10A only comes in the four colors you mentioned. A Crush MOAB would certainly be as awesome though!

Wow...usually this is a really friendly group here. This is bumming me out.

Someone's age, occupation and method of payment notwithstanding, there are a number of ways to skin the 10A cat, some being easier than others. For example, you could just join Tread Lightly for 3 yrs for $100 and 30 days later you're entitled to Affiliate Pricing (Invoice -1%)

We've seen in previous posts (with photos) on this very thread of a few dealers that have several sitting in stock. Perhaps one would be willing to deal more than a closer dealer that's been allocated only one and perhaps added the dreaded "market adjustment" over MSRP. Then you just buy a cheap flight to go pick it up. For those of us that have endured the erratic build and delivery schedule for the 10A, if the correct color/option combo were in stock I think we would have rather gone that route.

I'm fortunate in that I have a family member that works for Chrysler, and thus access to employee pricing (Invoice - 5%). Definitely the way to go if you know someone. Just like the TreadLightly setup, the dealer still makes their holdback so both sides of the equation end up happy and likely to work with you on some accessories.

But whatever you do, if you want a 10A you will want to buy existing stock or place an order ASAP. 2013 production will be wrapping up in short order and (obviously) there won't be a 10A in 2014.

And the 1,000,000th JK rolled off the line in Toledo yesterday. It was a Black 10A going to a customer in Sarasota, Florida! They didn't say whether it was a customer order or dealer stock order. Hopefully, something nice comes with it...besides the Florida "market adjustment"!

I don't know about those being the only colors for the 10th ann model. why is it you can build your own 10th ann model in commando, rock, rugged brown, and i believe dune? i was wondering why the website shows actually model pics of say the moab in orange and the 10th anniversay model. yet when you go to build some of them. those colors are not available.

I'm thinking they ship certain colors out to certain areas depending on their research on whats popular in that area. As for the 10th annversary grey its supposed to be an exclusive color. i could be wrong but i forsee this becoming like the graphite grey of the evo 9 MR. on the evo 8 MR they were a rarity on the 9 MR they were abundant and damn near everyone had one, because they were mass produced.

The Jeep website had/has a glitch that lets you pick unavailable colors. 10A = four colors only. As far as Anvil, yep it might be the most popular color for 2014 Wranglers. I'm hoping Chrysler at least waits until Spring 2014 before they let folks order it. At least let us bask in its exclusivity longer than 6 months!
Dealers base their stock on what's popular. In 2008, a Chrysler dealer/owner said to me "You want a Rescue Green Jeep. That is a love it or hate it color. Folks who love it will search until they find it. I'm trying to sell to the masses. So I only order Black, White, Silver, and Red." He would have ordered it for me, but I wanted it right then.

I'm at Camp Sabalu-Harrison. DoD (non-uniform). 2 weeks into a 6 month pump, and all these folks think they have/had a long wait.

Wife is going to have to pick up the 10AE.

Should be moving back to Ohio in about a year.

Donmeca. Ill apologize now. We both got a little crazy. The reason you arent seeing crush is that it is a color that jeep balanced out several months ago. So they havent been making it for a bit and its getting harder and harder to find. I also love crush and think its one of the best colors on a moab especially if the top and fenders are crush also. I truly do hope u get an awesome jeep purchased and really enjoy the heck out of it.

Don,

i think the consensus around here is that 5% (pre tax) below invoice is the absolute lowest they can go. I had a friends and family code and ended up negotiating 4.7% below invoice +tax. I have not paid for anything yet but I have the price in writing. My jeep should be here around the 1st of the month. You should try to get ahold of pat @ fieldsauto since you are in florida (dealership in orlando and chicago), alot of people seem to recommend him. Also, look at page 25 of this thread for invoice pricing with the options you want.

Best of luck in your search.

Did last 6 months at BAF after 13 months in Kabul. I missed my jeep almost more than my wife and kids! Yes, you have a long wait for your 10A. Make sure your wife sends you plenty of pics!

I did a bit of looking first thing this morning, looks like the links you stumbled upon go to non-stock MSRP units. The one link to Landers takes you to a page for a $35,190 priced unlimited Rubicon "anniversary". In fact, this is a system wide misprint that shows up at more than one dealers page.

Name:	image-2539507247.jpg
Views:	146
Size:	125.0 KB
ID:	250480

The MSRP quoted is the base price of a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.
The 10a requires another package not included in the base Rubicon price.

10a base price by the numbers:
MSRP: 40,590
Dealer Invoiced amount $37,999
The dealer gets a holdback = to 3% of the retail minus the destination fee. In this example it would be $1,187.85

Finally, there are 2 deviations to pricing FFP 1% below invoice and EP 5% below invoice. FFP is affiliate pricing. My employer has a fleet department for company cars. We contract with Chrysler and they give all employees of my company access to control numbers to buy cars at FFP. EP is employee pricing. Chrysler has a specific requirement of who qualifies. The rules are posted on Chrysler Employee Advantage website.

Finally, the Jeep incentives currently are for military $500, college graduate $500, VW owners cash $1,000. I personally don't know if you can "stack" these incentives.

So, how low can you go? Let's take our base example:
Dealer invoice $37,999.00
Less EP 5%. <1,899.95> Employee Pricing Program
Less 3% HB. <1,187.85>
cost-ep-hb. $34,911.20 and military, college grad or VW owners incentives if any or all can be combined

So, what we have learned today is although it is possible for a college graduate Rambo with a Volkswagen to buy a 10a unlimited for $32,911.20 if the dealer will simply hand over the keys and want nothing in return.

Donmeca, now you have to do your own research. Figure out what you qualify for. Subtract what you qualify for from the pure cost and then find out what a dealer is willing to sell you a car for. The research road you went down mislead you. Every piece of the information I posted on this response was gathered from this forum and google searches. Good luck...

DRMad that is one sexy 10th anniversary !!!!!

To everyone else thank you. this is the type of info i like to see and the type of comments i like to hear all helpful and positive. im still on the hunt, i just made an offer to a local dealer who just got a anvil in stock. he's asking $40k and change. he called and and left a message saying to come check it. im sure he wants to play with numbers. so i'll keep everyone updated

As for incentive i don't apply for any of them. i might actually be able to get employee pricing, but still haven't gotten the pin number yet

donmeca, there is also a sponsor and forum contributor that from the posts has been super helpful to those that have contacted him. I think his name is Pat and is from Fields Chrysler out of Illinois. I just looked them up because I just remembered they have a location that he has sent some looking for deals to a second store owned by the same company Fields Jeep in Sanford Florida (wherever that is). Hope this helps.
