Thanks for the knowledge! My little heart has stabilized.

Its still making good contact with all of the seals though. I noticed this the first time I put them back on, so I don't know if they came like that. Every time I put them back on its like this. I've tried pushing it forward, when tightening it down, but it always goes back to this position. There is a possibility that if the inboard rear is too far aft, then the whole thing is clocked a few degrees and the front outboard edge is too inboard, and thus not sealing well with the door. Then problem is that it seems to naturally line up this way, so the seals and molding may not be on right.
Unfortunately, the dealership acted like they had no idea about this kind of thing. "Jeeps? Tops? Leaks? What?" I talked to the service writer though and they no just slightly less than jack shit about anything anyway or at least they act like they do. They're having a leak specialist look at it. I'd rather have a Jeep specialist look at it. Its is a big Jeep dealership though so I assume Someone there is familiar with these things.
If they cant fix it, I may be back here to crowd source a solution (I have scoured the forums a little bit on this issue already, but I wanted to go through the warranty process first.
The good news is that its a minor leak. The bad news is that it rains here all the time, and things have a tendency to stay soggy for a weak or more due to the high humidity. I really don't want to have to yank the carpet out of a new Jeep just yet, although maybe I could do anvil colored Line Ex with a red border, oooooh!!
Very interested in hearing the outcome of your ordeal with the dealership. Given the lack of rain in the forecast I'm debating do I just deal with the misalignment and risk until something actually happens or try to proactively test the seals with a sprayer.

Love that pic. With the water it makes the hood look like an alligator floating in the marsh.

Question SPOD location

Anyone installed a SPOD yet?
Where (what location) did you install the switches?

At this point I'm worried enough about it that I'm considering just going with a regular Rubi. From what I can tell either a) they have no idea where is it is or b) it really has been in inspection that long- and if its taken that long and still not passed inspection it must be a hot mess. I'm not sure I have any interest in paying 40k for something that apparently can't pass inspection after 3-4 weeks.

Anyone experience with this situation or know what might be going on with it? VOTS, jeepstatus and the dealership all seem to show final inspection still so the "lost" scenario seems unlikely, even if the dealership seems to think it will just "show up" one day.
Mine was stuck in "I" status for three weeks and others were stuck there for longer still. Lots of different explanations as to why that happens ... allegedly some builds get randomly pulled for thorough inspections, and about 200 of us got a mass email from Chrysler in April telling us our Jeeps were built but would be delayed until May.

Either way, I got mine after almost a four week delay and so far I have not had any issues. The worst thing I have encountered in almost three weeks since I got the truck is a couple drops of water coming in through the freedom panel hand screws in the sound bar.

Hang tight and you will get to the end of the purgatory.

Been trying to do research on a winch for my 10A. I'm getting mixed stories on whether i need a winch plate or if the bumber is ready for a winch as is. I have no experience with winches, so any help would be appreciated.

Need a mounting plate, Mopar plate is pending/not yet released, due soon. The other aftermarket plates (AEV, etc) do not work. Current options are wait or custom fabricate.

That's what the SPOD switch box is designed for...

For anyone that needs a front plate what are you using to mount it? (mine currently is in the front window as dealer didn't install the bracket, so far been over a week without a problem like this). I will likely fab up a simple bracket using the Trox bolts in the top of the bumper. Just want to see if anyone else has found a better solution.

Thanks

Hello Hulk! Been out a while.... trying to catch up on the forum -- and see that you finally took delivery a week or so ago - congrats

First jeep for me, so I thought I get a feel for the best location from those that have the most experience

AirBus,
I made a custom bracket similar to bad dog's. just a piece of angled aluminum. you can find it in the 10 Rubicon mods thread, thats how I got my idea

Yep - installed one in my 10a - love it

It comes with clear instructions and everything you need - just have to trim the plastic along the top of the windshield a tiny bit and it fits perfectly between the visors - if you want pics - let me know

asianhulk - Thanks, that was what I was thinking on doing once I get back to work. I was also looking at modifying a flip up holder, likely easier just to fab one.

Hi everyone,

I was putting one the soft and went to the dealer and they helped me. They noticed on the top of the wind shield just above the latch there is a nice dent size of a egg. Dealer will check it out.

My 10a Anvil 300 miles drives better than my 2013 Rubi I bought in 12/12. Also, old dealer tried to screw me for my extended warranty. I sent a nice letter
and I was call jeep and complain.
Well I got a check for $2380. Now i can do some upgrades.

Someone on this thread had a list of speakers, amps and how to bypass jeeps computer set up on the 730n. I cannot find it.

I placed an order for a 2013 billet silver 2 dr rubicon about two weeks ago, but I've recently been looking at the 10As and I really like the Anvil with the red accents.

There are a few in my area but they're not quite what I want.
At the current stage of production it's still possible to change my order, but the time it takes for the 10A to come in could increase significantly. Price is slightly higher but not such a big factor.

I like the look of the 10A slightly better and it's a little bit more unique, but I like the plain silver as well and it would be great to have it for the summer.

Any reasons why I should go with one over the other?

Thanks to all who suggested dropping tires below 40 psi. Rides so much better. Dealer dropped tpms to 30psi for me so light wouldnt stay on. Much better grip and ride.

Billet wound up being darker than i thought. Love it, more like a metallic gunmetal. Deep red seats had me worried but were better in person and match pkg very well.
