I went over mine quite thoroughly and could not find anything wrong on the surface (paint, rust, etc). In three weeks of driving, nothing else has popped up, either.

I have had mine for three weeks and other than not having time to drive it through the mountains the only other issue i have had was that the tire pressure was set at 48 psi when I left the dealer giving her a super "touchy" ride if you will.

For locking, I am really liking my Rampage Hood locks. For non-locking, the Daystar seem to be the better option.

This is a straightforward, bolt-up install. Wish I had known this as I would have saved the bucks. And I believe it is the Rugged Ridge Hitch that folks have found to be the friendliest (available from many of the suppliers like Quadratec):

Rugged Ridge Hitch

And I believe Finn supplied you with the link to the best source I found for the Gorilla Spline lugs.

Do you have to remove the rear bumper to get the hitch on?

Ok- too busy driving with the top down today to get to pics.... But boy does this ride get attention... Overheard at our local garden shop- 'you gotta check out the jeep out there'. Yup, it was mine, with three employees admiring... Then a Cherokee reversed passed our driveway twice (hope my baby is ok all alone out there tonight!)

Husband also commented when we picked up... 'you didn't get the unlimited!?'
Me- 'Um no, I told you that right!?'
... for now, all good... Still together & I have my dreamy ruby gem.... (in anvil, of course)

Hi everyone, I am looking for some feedback from some of you who own the Anvil. When I see the photos on line and at the Detroit auto show, the color is more of a blue then gray. So I went ahead and ordered it. I am supposed to pick it up on Friday. However the color is more gray in person and not at all the color I saw in person 5 months ago. I am basically disappointed and dont know if I am going to finalize the sale. Does anyone know if the color changed once it went into production?

Pretty sure it did NOT. We had a factory insider (ArcherAce) in here early on who kept telling us to think Gray, like Brute Trashcan Gray, and that summed it up pretty well once we saw it in person. The auto show images all appear to have been the result of a combination of very difficult artificial lighting and image processing. I will say the color is fantastic (love my Anvil JKU!), and actually shifts shades depending on lighting, and will even pick up blue and green tones, as well as warmer sunset/sunrise tones. For me all of this is amazing given that it is a flat, non-metallic color. Think hard about giving it up, as it really is an amazing color, especially for "gray"!

BTW, for a glimpse of how this color can show up, check out this thread:

Anvil

Thanks for the reply. I actually drove to the auto show and saw it on person before placing the order for it and didnt rely on photos online. Im a bit bummed as I had something very different in mind. My husband loves the gray, however its my ride and I want to love it. Maybe it will grow on me.

I tried to order "another" 10A this week for my daughter and my dealer said no more 2013 orders will be processed. Sorry.....

Just buy the "Limited" and put the parts you want on it, and stand back and be proud of your accomplishment.

You'll be much happier and can say "I did that" to all your adoring fans.

Hi I would try car-finder.
Then go to the jeep dealer they can check if any
10A possible dealer stock. Or someone backed
out of the deal.

In 12/12 I was looking for a 6 speed new Rubi.
No dealerships had one in a 200 miles radius.
Then I checked car finder and one showed up
and was 4500 off msrp.

It only had 8 miles then I found out about the 10A I had 2041 miles when my Anvil came in and was built on 4/12/13.
I kind of took a beating on the trade but its only money.

Hope this helps

tpms defect

I found my first defect on my jeep today. I have after market wheels with tpms sensors. they have been working . I try to see how low I can put the air pressure at before setting them off. I placed all my wheels at 32psi. All 4 sensors went off. as I air them back up to see when the tire would stop flashing on dash , I noticed that the left rear tire on dash is actually the right rear. the right rear tire sensor is being shown as the left. on dash. some one crossed wires up. Going to dealer tomorrow. I called them and right away they said because of after market wheels. I said no because I but the originals back and if i let air out or right rear it shows up as the left rear on dash

no rugged ridge has a complete bolt on with the original 4 factory bolts. you remove the 4 bolts that holds a spacer where the hitch should be, you place the hitch and use the original bolts. the hitch comes with hard ware , but you do not need it for the 10a. The wiring hardness is plug and play . I got my hitch from shopjeepparts.com for $59.00 with wire hardness.
