Anyone purchase a Spiderwebshade JK 4D Trail Mesh? I received mine and went to put it on and it seems to be 8+ inches too short to reach the rear roll bar. I installed and removed it twice and it does not reach!! Anyone else have this problem??

I bought the same one and you just have to pull on it real hard and it will fit

I measured it and it is 8-10" short of reaching the rear rollbar. Was your's that short? I can't imagine it has that much stretch.

New to the group. Have an Anvil ordered May 5th. It is in inspection0 according to VOTS. If you are looking, Koons in Tyson's Corner VA has a couple 10a on their lot. Hoping for quick shipping!

Does the style of the seat change if you get side airbags on your 10A?

Mine fits right at the rollbar where you can read the label from behind. I strapped it around where the rear seatbelts are on the roll bar and it fit just right, actually wish it was a little tighter

Just concluded my trade, 12 hour round trip way out of town. Wow, holy wowness. Now this is one sexyfull vehicle. Good gawd, a total neck cranker, not even a head turner. Same story as everyone else, people in the dealership, service or parts actual, came out to look at it. I've never seen one anywhere since they came out, not even a glimpse on a highway. Damn this is one super cool vehicle. 6 hours non stop back home total trucker alley, everyone one of them scoping it out as you come along side, couple jeeps way on the other side of the highway, fully, see driver and passenger fidgeting to catch a look as we whizzed by. That is some vehicle. Drove my 12 month old, '12 there, quite a difference in refinements, steering is one thing, much much tighter on the '13, may be due to the tires. Rear view mirror seems fractionally bigger, indicator / light stalk seems thicker and shorter. Damn man, this is very very fine vehicle. Not sure it enjoyed from 0 miles to 6 hours at highway speed. Lot of creaking and vibrations when I got back with it into the city and slow traffic speed. Probably needs a rest Got to say kind of bothered by trading in so soon, but once behind the wheel, pffft, YOLO! If anyone's on the fence, jump! This is a very very special Jeep wrangler, that's for sure. Photos and brochures do nothing. Even seeing it from out side or sitting in it, does nothing, but driving it does, that hood, the height, just perfect.

Very very pleased.

@10AJKUR thanks man, sent the dealer a picture that was on this thread and told them if it wasn't in the vehicle it would be in the store room with the windows and door surround, lo and behold, nicely installed on the front when I got there.

Speaking of winch, anyone heard of any updates for it? Parker, did you ever fabricate a mount plate?

Haven't seen an update on the Mopar/Warn winch or plate, and Parker has been absent working on/playing with his lift and trusses. A user on the Facebook page posted the attached image of a plate he and his buddy put together that works w/the offset fairlead location. He's offering to the masses and stated price for this one is $300. He's also working on one that will center the opening with a bit of cutting of the hole.

2 Week of ownership update

Its rained here several more times and the weatherstripping fixed seems to have worked. No more leaks.

I chalked the tires. 43 PSI is waaay too much air pressure. About an inch of tread doesn't even make contact with the ground. With this pressure, I already see uneven wear. I incrementally lowered the pressure, checking the contact patch as I went. I got down to 35 PSI. Actually this is still slightly too high, but I wanted to see if there was a detriment to the handling. For comparison, I ran 30 PSI on my old TJ with 35's and got 90,000 miles out of a set of tires. After making the change, EVIC picked up the new pressure, but didn't squawk.
Lowering the pressure makes a world of difference on the road. You still hear the tires, but you don't feel them nearly as much. There was no detriment to the handling. This morning the Jeep finally decided to throw a code, so I'm going to see if I can get the threshold pressure changed at the dealership.

I installed my DEI boommat. This also makes a difference. For one, the roof is now about 1.5 inches lower, so it feels more cozy. Along with the tire change the tire singing is reduced to a low muted hum. Its even more quiet. It could pass for a passenger car or pickup in the cab now. It also keeps the Jeep cooler.

One final thing. Starting a few days after buying the Jeep, I've had a noise when accelerating. It is worse under moderate load around 1,500 to 2,500 RPM when accelerating only. Its like a tone has been added to the each peak of the engines natural rumble, so it colors the natural sound of the engine. I couldn't decide if it was coming from the drive line or the dash though. It doesn't really sound like a normal dash rattle. It sounds deeper, but its is definitely unnatural and its very noticeable. I don't subscribe to the cop out that Jeeps rattle. Yes, when off road, things flex, pop, and squeak, but after 4 Jeeps, whenever I had some rattle, I was able to isolate some issue and usually fix it. The exception is the noise the TJ's manual transmission makes when idling out of gear with the clutch out. That sound is inherent to the disengaged gears turning. I asked the dealership to drive it when they fixed the leak. The service writer told me it was the tires. I explained that it was tied to RPM under load, not speed, but I might as well have been talking to the ceiling. Of course they were unable to duplicate the problem.

Before crawling under it to look for loose stuff, I took a look at this post:

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/201...nd-133387.html

I took out the glove box. My heater lines. I Have a fairly healthy gap in the heater lines, so I figured this was fixed on the 2013. I almost did nothing, but decided it was worth a try, and wedged a piece of rubber between the large gap.

The Jeep sounds like a completely different vehicle now!!!
This completely changed the tonality engines sound!! The rattle is gone, and even the sound of the engine before the RPMs peak, prior to shifting, where the rattle occurred, is different. The vibration of the pipes must have made a range of sounds that colored the entire range of RPM's.

Even if you do not hear a rattle you may want to try this. Just wedge some rubber in between the pipes at the 90 degree bends.

between the BoomMat, the tires, and the rattle fix, I have a new new Jeep.

Rausch Creek trip

If anyone would like to join us let me know. June 12th I and a few friends and co-workers are going to Rausch Creek Rausch Creek Off Road Park in Tremont, PA. We are going to have the full use of the park and have one of the guides give us the off roading 101 course. I am taking my new 10A and we have several other Jeeps in the group.

If you may be interested just email me and I will give you the details. I don't want to post them here just because I do not want this to sound like an ad. I just think it would be fun to have a few 10A's together in the wild.

I've finally moved from D1 to F. I suspect it's a but behind though. I don't think I've ever had this much anticipation for anything before.

Tooshort,

Pics would be great! I would also love to know the length of your shade. Lying flat, mine is 58" long. As I said before, the thing is 8-10 inches from the rear rollbar. There is no way the Trailmesh stretches that much. The photos online seem to show the rear portion (with the tag) resting on the rear rollbar. I also emailed Spiderwebshade, but they have yet to respond. ???
