This thread is from 17OCT11 and this dude sold his 2012 Rubicon springs and shocks..

FS: 2012 Rubicon Unlimited Springs/Shocks/End Links/Stabilizer - JKowners.com : Jeep Wrangler JK Forum

He gave these as the part numbers:

Front Springs: 52126318AC

Rear Springs: 68004459AA

Shocks: 188AC OE17227 05168188AC

and: 186AC OE17226 05168186AC

Had to post this because you guys got me thinking now about my springs.. this thread sorta talks about the same thing and this guy explains the numbers..

Rubicon JKU Springs & Shocks takeoffs - JeepForum.com

he basically says the last two numbers refer to the stiffness of the springs...

He says that the fronts will go up to 19 and the rear will go up to something like 60... it might explain why our numbers are so close apart

Finally had a chance to take a look at my "Stock" 10A Springs. Mine is Unlimited, with Max Tow.

No miles on these stock parts!

If I were you, I'd go to the parts counter and run these numbers and give them your VIN and ask them what the front and rear springs PN's are. The BOM's will be the same unless they issued an engineering change order since mine was built in March.

.
Did you get the Max Tow?

This implies Jeep has significant part numbering system. Not sure I believe what this guy is telling people. PN's are usually issued sequentially with AA being the first release... AB would be a revision. The spec control drawing would indicate the spring dimensions, specifications and tolerances.

I won't explain the supply chain process ... bottom line, the springs that were installed are Rubicon springs.

The JKUR 10A has 1" taller spring in rear and probably close to 1.5" taller spring in the front, leveling the 10A straight from the factory.

My Jeeps have come a looonnnng way since my first CJ. This was a 1980 straight 6 4 speed. Poor baby died of cancer. This Jeep spent more time at body shop getting rust cut out than on the road.

I was hoping the Anvil color would have been more blue to match my first but I love the color just the same.

So with orders closed now do we know who ordered the last one?

It will be interesting to see the total production numbers of each color and configuration.. maybe a final poll in August?

You guys notice ours were delivered in April ... early 10A builds.

I'm curious to the reason Jeep changed the rear springs... or the reasons they used the wrong springs.

The new front/rear spring PN's match closely... indicating they were issued at the same time and spec'd especially for the 10A.

So you are saying that my 10A should be leveled?

I don't know what the engineers indended.. this is all speculation.

I do know that mine started out level with the front and rear measuring 22.5" from center hub to fender lip - since then the front springs have settled .5".

In essence, if I install a wench my front will be much lower than the rear. To re-level, I would need to install a 1" spacer on top of the factory isolator.

Maybe they finally realized that and decided to use the stock Rubicon rear springs - lowering the rear some.

Again, this is all speculation.

The springs that I have seems to have my 10A fairly level.

Are the shipping times padded?
They are telling me that mine will take 9 days to get to North Carolina, bummer.

That's better than the three weeks to get to Calgary, Alberta Canada. Mine was supposed to be loaded on a train at on June 4/13 and now I have to wait three more weeks.

Hmmm.. don't really know. Gotta call Jeep tomorrow and try and figure this out. I will get a side view pic when I get a chance, but this is mine when I picked her up.

Looks to be slightly lower in the front...

The manual says this:

Same as mine. Build date 4/3/13. Makes no difference what springs are on your Jeep as long as the fronts have the same number and the backs have the same number. My jeep is plenty high compared to my 2005. Happy.

Note: I was the guy who got the wrong ID plate.

I feel you also. My fronts are the same and the backs are the same. This should be with no doubt what a JKR should look like

and this is the only profile of a JKUR I found (really bad angle)

go figure...

Carpet on drivers side is all wet

We had some very heavy rains come through on Friday but water shouldn't be getting inside.

I just drove it home on Wed and haven't ouched the hardtop panels yet.

Anyone else see this issue? Calling dealer in the am to bring it in. Between tick in the engine and now this I am getting frustrated. Still love it though.
