The difference is 3/4", and I am assuming this was the difference in the spring height.

If anyone has different information please enlighten me.

That makes total sense, but I cannot find anything that talks about a lift, except in the brochure

http://www.jeep.com/en/wrangler-rubi...h_brochure.pdf

on the second page. Maybe it has something to do with the Next Generation Dana 44 Solid Front/Rear Axle?

Or

Maybe it has something to do with the rim width:
10A: 7" to 8.5" / Section Width (On Measuring Rim Width): 10.7" on 8"
Rubicon: 6.5" to 8.5" / Section Width (On Measuring Rim Width): 10" on 7"

Questions about roofs

1)
A Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition 2 door comes with a SunRider soft top.
If you order the DUAL TOP GROUP ,
you get the Freedom Hardtop ,
but what soft top do you get - SunRider or Stnd. ?

2)
Manual says if you have the DualTop Group , you do not ride around with both at same time.
Manual details how to take off and put on the Freedom HardTop and
how to raise and lower the SunRider SoftTop,
but I cannot find any directions for
Removal of SunRider SoftTop.
Did I miss those Removal Directions or are they not in the included written manual or dvd ?

100% the 10A is taller than standard Rubicons. I came into the 10A directly from a 2012 Rubicon, where I would flat footed hop into it and with this I got to stand on my toes to hop in.

More interesting to me is the weight difference, been searching for some spec because to me there is a significant weight difference, other than the 10lbs / tire of the Km2's. found it:

2 Door Rubicon 2012(stick): 4,132 lbs

2 Door Rubicon 2013 10A (stick): 4,450 lbs

for auto add 14-25lbs more

Totally feel the difference between the two.
Till the Rubi X that is coming.

i got dual tops, soft top is a sun rider, sunrider just has the 2 sliders over the sunrider hinges so removal is not really any different than the std soft top from what ive seen

Looks like a 2014 loaded up to look like a 10A. Don't know how to post links so check out 2014 Wrangler Information Thread.

Hope they fix the paint issues and the premature rust on the underbody that my 10A has on the 14s! :-). Still in love even if she isn't perfect! Several folks are concerned 10A owners may be upset by the Rubi X, why? I welcome more opportunities to talk "jeep" and wave at other Jeep owners! Can't wait to see if any surprises with the 14s!

I also had water on the driver and passenger side fronts with no other indications if leaking. It's either the cowl or the rear fenders running down the back. Noticed water pooled at the plastic just on the carpet on the same location both sides. If it was the cowl I would have damp carpets all the way up the firewall? That leads me to think the rear fenders are getting water into the body and its running forward and down.

20 days into my 10A and I got a leak... Somewhere around the driver door area. Got wet carpet and puddles in my slush mats. See no water trails, I suspect it is in the forward corner of the drivers side door. Gonna have to search the forum and seek this bugger out, want to avoid a trip to the dealer if at all possible.

Most likely will go. Just hate the trip over and the wait time. But from the quick searches I did this may be an easy and common fix.

I guess you have to expect that Chrysler is going to take advantage of the "special" edition pricing. It still won't be a 10A.

The question is will the "X" have the unique dash, EVIC and red accented switches, seats, etc.

There will never be another 10A.

Dude you are a modding freak! What are you planning next? Always looking good!

I am looking into just getting my interior Line-X'ed and came across some of these JKU with exterior Line-X. They look kinda nice, but I don't know if I could ever do it.

Okay, here is what I can tell you.

First, I should say that I have seen absolutely no indication of any serious, routine leaking from the roof or hardtop. The most I have seen is a few drops (literally, 2 or 3 drops) come down from one of the hand screws in the sound bar after the first heavy rain we had after I got the Jeep. I loosened the thumbscrew a few turns, and that has never happened again (thanks for that tip, whoever suggested it).

After Andrea rolled through last Friday, I noticed that the carpet on my driverside was damp. Not soaking wet, nothing puddled, and no standing water in the floor or on the slush mat, but the carpet was definitely damp. I found no indication of any place where water had trickled or run down the door, dash, or anywhere else inside the cabin. This led me to believe the water was coming in through the cowl or some other external part, and then running down the inside of the body and down into the carpet. I should also mention passenger side was bone dry.

We got another round of rain yesterday morning, almost as torrential as what we got from Andrea last Friday. When I was heading to work, I made sure to check inside the Jeep before I opened the door. I saw no indication of any water inside the Jeep - slush mat appeared to be dry, no drips or puddles of water anywhere. As soon as I open the door, a torrent of water comes down from the roof line (where that lip is above the door) and from inside the door seal / rubber foam gaskets. It was enough water that is made small puddles on the slush mat and got the carpet damp underneath.

Yesterday afternoon, it poured rain for a good 4 hours, and once it stopped, I decided to do a little test. Before I opened the door, I took a microfiber absorbant cloth and wiped down the roof over the driver side door, and all around the door frame. I did a spot check inside before opening the door, and again saw no idication of any water inside. Once everything was dried down outside, I opened the door ... a little bit of water came in (from what was inside the door seal that I could not dry off), but other than that, things were dry. Carpet was bone dry.

It appears that, at least in my case, the "water leak" might be from when I open the door ... as soon as that happens, lots of water runs in. Keep in mind, I have never seen any indication of damp or wet carpet on the passenger side, and I have also never opened the passenger side door after it rained.

I need a few more rain episodes to really verify, but that looks to be the extend of my "leak".

New EVIC is standard across the board if ordered with the connectivity group for 2014. What red accented switches?

If you ordered your 10a with black seats the you get red locker and sway bar disconnect switches. Pictures around hear somewhere.
