35s desired for me, but so is keeping everything else to extent possible true to initial special edition stock..realize lift/spacers necessary to go 35s .. Otherwise need to go with 285/75/r17 max to keep 10a wheels.. So, my question, 35 s on original stock wheels are possible and maybe good for offroad, but less safe for on road family vehicle?

I don't know that there is a definitive answer - tire manufacturers have to play the CYA game and would say that 35s are less safe on stock wheels as the stocks are narrower than recommended width. Yet there are loads of people that run stock wheels and 35s without incident. I say it is a matter of personal choice. I am building an expedition rig so 285/75s were plenty big and I appreciate no spacers and staying within the mfg recommended width. That said, I will probably go 35s when these tires wear out because by that time this will be just a toy and not a DD. here is a photo on toyo at2 34s, stock wheels, no spacers, no lift yet - but I will be adding 2.5" next week.

Any of you ol JKU'ers ever take the front carpets out? Is it easy? Any cutting involved? seats need removed? Those plastic push type connectors on the floor trim need removed? Jeep states its an easy thing to remove the carpets and rinse these things out and take the drain plugs out. Just by looking it doesn't seem quite that easy. Any input, especially step by step appreciated, as i couldn't find anything online.......

Thanks for taking the time to share info. Huge help! Btw, 34s w or w/out lift, or eventually 35s...either way, sweet rig! Thanks again!

Check it out yourself, the quality is pretty good as you can see in the pic. Cost was about $38 and that is because I bought 1. If you can get some of the guy's and girls to buy, I am sure they will do better.

I have taken all my carpet out. I own three dogs that go with me wheeln. I had to cut two tabs beneath the rear seats in my unlimited (4dr) jeep or you can undoo two bolts that were sssooooo tight, I couldn't undo them with 1/2 drive ratchet. Other than that had to unscrew two little nuts that hold the carpet down by where your feet go on both front carpets. Not too difficult just take your time and gently pull the carpet, being carful not to tear it. there is a video I watched on youtube if you search taking carpet out of a wrangler and I used it to help me with my carpet, it might be helpful for you as well.

Saw my baby today at the dealership today in Calgary. I ordered it early February and the long wait is over. Went down to check it out and sign the paperwork. I was blown away at how kick@ss it looked. Thought mine came with the black leather but was thrilled to learn it was ordered with the red. I have been fortunate to own a lot of very nice vehicles and this one takes the cake. Couldn't wipe the ear to ear grin off of my face. Pick it up tomorrow afternoon. Where can I find the 10A delivery inspection checklist? Who's given their 10A a name? Thinking about Ike, Oscar, Mighty Mo, or Rubi.

Hi everyone

Tomorrow going to test ride a Rubi 10 anv all black in and out!
I have no time to do crazy research. It will be my first new vehicle so I never dealt with dealership except with my Harley Vrod! I could use advice on all the angles the the dealers take and where and how I can get the best deal! What is the most I should pay?

I am driving a h3 hummer with 20 rims
I want to maintain that jacked up look!
I was thinking having dealership do the lift kit any advice?

Thanks

An H3 with 20s is definitely "jacked up". Only word of advice I can offer is if you do get a Rubicon, DON'T put 20s on it!

Hey congrats on your 10a, I too live in Calgary and my rig is in the Dover train yard. Hoping to get in in the next few days. As far as the checklist, it was posted on this thread about a week ago, when I requested it. I copied it to Excel and reformatted it so it was easier to print. If you need a copy private message me your e-mail and I will send it when I get to work. As far as names. Yes my girl friend already named him Rubi. She named him the day I ordered it. Hey which dealer did you use? I used Rob down at big 4 and he was great to work with. They have a 2 door Anvil/red down on their lot now. I think the sale fell through on it, so if you know someone looking. I ordered the Anvil/Red, 6 Speed, Dual Top, Max Tow, 430 Nav, Air/Auto Control. What did you get? By the way I have already seen one other in Calgary, same as mine.

Just ordered a similar one, but put Rubicon on the top and 10th Anniversary on the bottom. Awesome idea. Thanks for sharing. ($31.48 w/ shipping, low priority snail mail)

Na, when the video started I could see the 10A and that it was a black one. I was like... "Look that would be funny if it's mine". Then they said the owner lived in FL and my dream was crushed.

Congrats to another Canadian 10A owner! I think of mine as Rubi (my grandmother's name is Ruby also so it's fitting)

I see some other 10A owners are having water leak issues, so I'm I front upper corners on both driver and passenger side of the soft top. 2000 miles dealer is replacing the front seals or weather striping next week.

Has anyone experienced an airbag light problem? My 10A has been at the dealer for two weeks now. The airbag light started staying on at 100 miles, they have replaced the seatbelt assembly on the passenger side and now the airbag module. The light is still on so they are now running diagnostics on several circuits.

Door leak found and repaired. The dealer had to replace some crimped weather striping. Also saw they had 3 10A's on the lot. 1 Anvil and 2 Black. Ask for Tom Ames at Koons Jeep in Va.

Got rid of the final rattles on the thing. Pretty pathetic actually. Identified last year on the '12's and now all over the place on the '13's.

It's the plastic in the wheel wells where the bumper joins. Totally non-descript. Go around each wheel well and lightly tap the top portion of plastic, if it gives it hits the metal chassis. That sound is amplified 1000 fold and reverberates through the interior of the jeep. You can distinguish what is correct or not as at least one (fronts and back) will be fine. Just gently tap with a finger if it is "firm" its fine, if not it will hit the metal behind it and cause a racket at low speed. No really fix it seems, fake rivets and no connectors at all. I initially duct taped () the offending spots, which cured it, then removed and rolled up a small piece and stuck it in between the plastic and the chassis. Totally shoddy workmanship.

I should have take a pic. but this is the front, the red line would be where on the back, the two parts connect. Fairly obvious when you look at it at the back, just tap on the top part and you will hear knock against metal or not. In fact push it rather, it's joined nice or not. That's the second source of rattles and vibrations aside from the heat pipes in side.
