It took me 5 weeks of looking on the net everyday to find the one I was looking for, and when I did I had to drive 6 hours to get it because they would not dealer trade with my local dealer , but it was so worth it and made a fun weekend out it.

Good luck and happy hunting

You need to contact the dealer directly. The mass of the orders were sold orders only. Dealers weaved a bit of magic and ordered them that way. The one we bought on Friday was marked 'sold'. Told sales guy I was interested, he disappeared for a few minutes and came back with, 'let's talk'. it is ours now. The window sticker mentioned Scott and Cherylrae.

Hmmm... maybe Scott and Cherylrae got a flat making it to the dealership?

A number of weeks ago - a few of us took an offroading 101 course at Rausch Creek offroad park in PA. It was a great time - we learned what these Jeeps can do, and how to better drive them in offroad conditions - check the 10A porn thread for pictures...

I've been planning to head up there again for another 101 class. I talked with Kyle - the instructor - and he gave me the following dates for classes that are already scheduled:

July 14, 2013
August 18, 2013
September 14, 2013
October 19, 2013
November 9, 2013
December 14, 2013

I'm planning on heading up for the August 18th trip if anyone is interested - we could get a few 10A's together again.

Dog and others - here's the schedule for the 201 course:

July 27, 2013
August 25, 2013
September 15, 2013
October 20, 2013
November 16, 2013
December 15, 2013

I'm currently thinking about heading up for the September 15th 201 class - any takers? I can get you details if interested.

If there was enough interest - we can schedule a dedicated trip for this group - but it will cost a few more bucks..

If anyone's interested - let me know - I'm going to cross post this on the 10A mods and 10A porn threads as well - pointing them back to this post....

Had an amazing time playing in the water and mud and on the rocks! I love my 10A!

I had to schedule a 101 during the week due to work and other commitments, but put me down for the September 201 class.

I am fine paying a little extra for a dedicated group trip.

Doubtful. The rig was built 5/22 delivered to Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, Idaho (dealer) 6/17 and then driven to the dealer is Tacoma CDJ a week later. We bought it from them on 7/11.

No drilling required. you remove the old pillar cover and reinstall this the rugged ridge pillar with the rocker switches. I used and factory grommet hole and ran wires inside.

My local dealership is having a tough time finding one. I suspect the other dealerships don't want to trade. I am going to have to call myself and buy directly from the original dealership.

Purchased 10A and went right out to get lift and various mods done dealer is taking it back and going to prep it and get it ready for pick up! What items should I expect to get with 10a?

Freedom bags and grab handles? Car manual etc?

What did you guys get or did it come with?
Anybody get any extras out of dealership?

Thanks
Ed

Excited!

Bags should be there if you got the hardtop. The grab handles are supposed to be in there, but they often times are not. If you notice they are missing and mention it to the dealer, they will likely pull them out of the glovebox of another one on the lot.

The only manual you get is a quick guide / very basic manual. If you want the full print edition, you need to call the IAMJEEP number after you take delivery and give them your VIN, I believe; they will mail the full manual to you. There is also an iPhone (and maybe Android) app that functions much like the print manual.

I'm interested in the Sept 14th 101, and possibly the 201.

If you call Jeep, they'll want the last 8 of your VIN. They will confirm you mailing and email addresses. Then about 7 business days you'll get the manuals.

I was at Rausch Creek yesterday for the 101 class. It was great. I was driving a JKUR Anvil 10a and someone else was driving a JKR Anvil 10a. Really got a good introduction into what the Rubicon can do.

Definitely going to sign up for the 201 class.

Promised a photo of the K9 Outfitter's harness a while ago and here it is. Shown in the first photo is a single tie down for offroading. On road, I usually use 2 to give him a little more movement (2nd photo).

I rigged something like that. Actually there is a strap that attaches in the buckle. My dog is not as big as yours (Yorkie), but he surely loves to ride especially with the doors off.

I'm interested too..if you don't wind up planning a separate date, then I may try to do back to back days in sept..like 101 on 14th, 201 on 15th...any higher requirements for 201 than stock...I'm still running stock tires for a while and am not into banging up metal just yet as she also my DD...

I wonder is there is anything "special" about this particular winch... If it can be picked up for $1885 and it is "special" then it's "only" about $300 more than the cti-s... Additionally I wonder what the difference is between Jeep's mounting kit and the Maximus-3 plate?

Hey - I think someone mentioned a couple of episodes of the TV show Monster Garage shot at Xtreme Outfitters on the 10a - they've posted the shows online - 2 parts:

Episode 1 - building the 10A - Masters Entertainment Group - Motorhead Garage 1314
Episode 2 - finished build and testing - Masters Entertainment Group - Motorhead Garage 1315

I was able to watch the second episode - wasn't terrible - looks like a great place.... enjoy!

Caution - they blow up a 4 door JK in the episode - terrible lol

HELP!!! With 10A Rock Rails

Guys - After a month, my baby hit the body shop due to a road incedent! The Jeep Body shop replaced the Rock Rails with the mopar part and they are a satin finish rather than the textured bedliner finish they came with. they are at a loss and are clueless. they keep telling me the "dealer" must have done something after it got there. UGH!!! Anyone have any idea for the exact replacement for the 10A Rock Rails? these satin smooth ones are UGLY!! HELP!!!!

Phase IV almost done!

Maximus 10A Grill Guard Hoop
Teraflex HD Differential Covers and Tow Hooks Powder Coated candy red over silver

Remaining work - RhinoLine fenders, paint black & clear coat

Also had the black part of High Lift jack powder coated Billet to prevent rusting, but not sure i like the look may go back to black!

Freakin awesome. You got me thinking about Rhino Lining my fenders now... yeah I think that is what I am going to do. Probably could do it myself and have low risk of f'in it up.
