That should be the same as the MOAB edition if that helps.

November 9, 2013

I brought my jeep to one of the largest jeep dealers body shop's in Palm Beach County. The Rails are identical but do not have the bedliner type coating on them.. they are smooth. If the jeep dealer cant find them, figured my professionals here at the forum would have some ideas.

How much more difficult is the 201? ok to pass on the 101? also, if we got enough interest would they do a 201 on Friday the 13 just for us? could you guys/gals do it then? 15th is bad for me as i'm way down here in Tidewater and gotta work the next Monday, so it's 101 on Sat, or a 201 on Friday. Bill at Carlisle listening up?

I am fine with any day, as long as I know a couple weeks in advance.

No idea on the difficulty of the 201.

Shouldn't the dealer just order them from jeep? Sorry.. I don't understand why they are not getting you the correct rails. Sounds weird.

Hi Meatball, they finished them today $700. To Rhino Line, paint black & clear coat all four. They just finished, I like it and no fad worries! They match the rails..... And I went back to black on the High Lift jack....

That is exactly why I want to do it. But, I would like it flat black and I would remove them myself. That is what they quoted me ($600 - $700). So, it should be at least a little cheaper than $700; won't you agree?

Can you take a close up pic? Thanks.

Here's information on the classes from their site:

Beginner Off Road Driving Instruction (101)
This is a behind the wheel beginners instructional course. Learn how to drive your vehicle off road from a well educated and seasoned professional trainer. Students see how the features of their vehicle work and how different vehicles handle terrains differently. You will drive through wash outs, up and down hills, mud, rocks, scenic trails, and much more, and all with out damaging your vehicle. This class is designed around the stock to slightly modified vehicle or the person wanting to learn how to use the vehicle the way it is. Go to web store to book a date.

Advanced Off Road Driving Instruction (201)
This is a advanced off road training class. Students learn behind the wheel training in obstacle navigation, spotting, recovery, tackling advanced terrain, and much more. Put you and your vehicle to the true test. All vehicles from stock to built may attend. You will have a true appreciation for your vehicle at the end of this class and all with out damaging it. Go to web store to book a date.

You're certainly fine with a stock 10A for the 101 class and I was told the same for the 201 class - they make a point to not put you in a position to damage your vehicle.

If we wanted to schedule a private class (ie: other days than listed) - we'd need a minimum number of people (I'll ask how many) and the fee moves to $180 plus riders vs the $150 plus riders for the classes already scheduled. If people are interested in the private class - I'm up for it. I'm scheduling for the August 18th 101 class so I can have my kids join me - after August they're in school and its tougher to get them up there for the day.

I'll be taking the Sept 201 course unless the group again wants to pick up a private class. If people are interested - let me know and I'll keep track of the count.

I'll also reach out and get the details on scheduling a private class as well...

Meatball, my $700. was the total price for everything I.e removal, Rhino Liner, paint & clear coat then reinstall. I also want to see it up close and agree on the flat black. I will get them to send me a close up tomorrow and post. It may be the lighting or the clear coat making the shine? I need to see it in person.....

Just got confirmation from Kyle on the private classes. There is no minimum for the class.

Each vehicle / driver costs $180 plus park fees ($15 for non-members and $7 for members)

Each passenger only has to pay park fees - again $15 for non-members and $7 for members.

If there's interest - float some dates and I'll send them over to see if they line up. I'm available most days and really just want to schedule the 101 course before the end of August so my kids can head up w/ me. I'm looking to have skids installed in about 3 weeks and would want to schedule after that so I'm open for anything after August 11th or so...

Maybe someone can confirm how busy it is on the weekends - I know our last 101 course was on a weekday and the park was empty - didn't have to worry about others holding us up out there, etc...

Let me know

I could do a 201 (private group) on Friday, 13 Sept (or will have to do the scheduled 101 on the 14th). Only weekend I can get away. Thanks, wish I could do August.

Friday September 13 is fine for me.

For the next few months, any day should be fine as long as I know a little in advance.

Caution - they blow up a 4 door JK in the episode - terrible lol
They swapped out everything! Would it not have been better to start with a base Rubi or even a base Sport? All of the 10A upgrades (bumpers, tires, springs and plating) were thrown away! It just seemed like a waste of money.

It did turn out nice though.

Thanks, appreciate it. Yeah, you had some additional things done to them. I think if I also agree that it would be the clear coat. Well, we always enjoy your pics. So is there going to be a phase V ?

Yes, Phase V will be next but on hold for a bit. Xtreme will drop mine off this week and pick my daughters Anvil 10A up to start her Phase I.....

Let me try to get that close up.

Hitn3 - Dude that sux! Sorry about your accident
Drivin' in SoFlo --Jeesh -- hopefully it was one of the rare drivers who had a license and insurance who hit you.
Curious which dealer/body shop you are working with - Delray? I'm going to be getting a grill painted real soon. Would like to hear your input/experience. If I remember correctly you drove up to Sanford to pick yours up so I assume your are at a local dealer. You can PM me if you want and I'll shoot you my cell #.

Hi to everyone else. I've been as scarce as AsianHulk lately myself. Life has just been too busy!! Kind of glad the forum doesn't move so fast these days so I can actually log on and catch up. I'll have to post up some pics -- soon.

Oh Great ! I was caught in a hail storm in my 10A for 4 miles ( bang head )

After it was over not a scratch or divot in the hood. I'm running my hard top and I don't think hail could damage that anyway..
