The 10S is a Warn winch 10,000 lbs with synthetic rope. Very big and a tricky install, used the Maximus-3 winch plate. It's my understanding the 10A winch is the Warn 9.5 Cti, also a very capable winch. The 10S is the one showing in my picture. Enjoy your new system btw.

Wow, very cool winch. Out of curiosity do you think your dealer would have installed the 10th Anniversary winch/plate that Chrysler has part numbers on?

The dealer would install any part that was purchased through them, yes. Installing a winch yourself doesn't cause any warranty issues though

Rubicon 24J on lots?

How's one go about finding a 2014 Rubicon "X"/24J" on a dealer lot anyway? Our quest for 2013 10A ended up not working out for us. big let down..

Looking out our options, found out Jeep's consumer online inventory tool only finds 2013s. One of the dealers we're working with said 2014 Rubicon 24J/"X" doesn't show up in the system (which we know, and know we can't order, yet) and added the factory reps say it just doesn't exist...pre-spec or otherwise.

But they're showing up on lots...and we've got pics.

Only way I can think of is start checking individual dealer websites, which ARE showing 2014's

Any better ideas?

Thanks!

I had a couple window stickers show up by googling "Rubicon X 24J 2014" but not sure if then searching on the VINs would turn up a dealer's website.

Curious what your quest was for 10a....but when I search the new inventory site on jeep.com, you can see a good bit of them out there and they can always be shipped to you from afar. Maybe not exactly what you want but there is inventory out there. I only mention it since I have one and love it and recommend it. Good luck either way.

Hey All,

Does anyone know how to figure out how many of a specific 10A were made?

I have a 2 door Anvil, Manual, with black leather interior, dual tops. What number of 2D/Anvil/Manny/black interior were built.

Also the whole Rubi X thing. Oh, yeah they lost me after this one. I've purchased three new Wranglers in the past three years this was my last. I was going to replace my F150 Crew this year with a new Ram Crew.....Hell no. They screwed loyal Jeep customers around. It appears that the 10A cost a good bit more too, but honestly there have been several price increases since I ordered in January and the cost difference to me appears to be about $500 more after I figure in the price increases. Still that's a hefty premium for a spring and tire upgrade, some badges and stitching on the seats......or are there other differences that I have not noticed?

Jk you wouldn't happen to have a picture of the fix? I put the soft Velcro strip inside the U to keep it from going up and down, which helped but if I don't keep the air flow on high it starts to raddle again with all windows up. Thanks!

Docz63,

I'm sure you have researched the location of your noise, but I found my rattle was coming from between the metal frame and the small control arm (located over the passenger side of the soundbar) not the locking mechanism. If you look closely you will see that the two metal parts are riveted together with a very small plastic washer separating them. I opened my top halfway (requires a helper) and then placed a soft piece of Velcro on the large frame piece which keeps the pieces from making contact once the top is closed = no more rattle! Did both side just to be sure. If you are driving and can stop the rattle by pushing up in the support bar above the soundbar, I would say it is the same problem I had. How this helps!?!?!

I will look for a pic( I take pics of all my mods lol) Since I no longer have that JK i will see what i can find. i do know that i placed a strip on both the top and lower arms. what funny is that it took over a year for my rattle to appear . I can't believe the new tops are already banging around. I just figured it was wear and tear .

Geez only 200 miles? What's the problem? Your gonna take a huge financial hit on that if you have to sell it back to dealer.

Can someone provide the part number for the Mopar Winch mount? I'd rather stay with OE Equipment.

Here's a few pics of the beauty!
Nice lookin 10A! I've got the same setup, except for body color flares and hardtop (and red switches )

Anyhow, the part numbers you are looking for are:

Winch: P/N 82213746 - MSRP $2250.00
Mounting Kit: P/N 82213840 - MSRP $450.00

I'm assuming you're referring to the 10A winch/mounting kit

You might want to see if you can still wheel and deal with your salesperson on the purchase of this accessory as if you were doing it as part of your initial purchase to get a discount, if possible. There are places you can order Mopar parts online and get a decent discount. The only killer with this particular purchase is the shipping - it turns out to be hundreds of dollars for every online website I've seen. Must be heavy or really bulky. It would turn out to be close to whatever sales tax you would pay buying it from your dealer.

If he sells it outright he shouldn't. These things are in high demand and hard to find. We had to drive over 400 miles to get ours this past Friday.

It depends, was it financed? What's the payoff? Money down? Warranty purchased? was there money Owed on a trade in? theres many factors that Can make you owe more than what the vehicle is Worth and No one will pay more than market value for it. you can make a 10a rubicon yourself now and anvil is a standard color so it's not all the special anymore.

Thanks man. I have a buddy that's the parts manager at a local dealer and orders all of my parts at cost.

What red switches?

I'm new to the jeep thing, but have had a Dodge Power Wagon for many years

This is our first Wrangler and 3rd GC(all SRT's) Anyway...done a few mods...JW Speaker black headlights, billet tech engine caps kit, black emblem and tint. ive got an airraid MXS intake setting here to add as well. Tried to add a pic....but photobucket sux tonight and the upload does here as well....LOL.
Anyone added the wrangler duratracs in 285-70?

Thinking about heading to Rausch Creek on the 24th of August. Anyone heading that way also? No 101 class scheduled that weekend, but I am going to contact them to see how much for the 101 course that weekend if possible. Thought I would see if anyone else heading there also.

Rausch Creek 201 Class

Did anyone decide on a date for a private 201 class for 10a's in September. I know several dates were thrown around, but no consensus.

I am up for a September 13th class
Or the regular class is scheduled for September 15th.

Does anyone have an actual picture of this and the 10A plate? Still trying to understand if there is something else special about it other than the plate. If not, I may just go with the Warn winch that has the built in air pump, does anyone have any experience with one of those?

Hey - there's a 101 class on 8/18 - last I heard they had about 7-8 signed up

I've confirmed a private 101 class at Rausch on 8/30 - only two 10A's going up - feel free to join us

I'm working to finalize a private 201 class on 9/20 right now - about 90% there to confirm - let me know if anyone wants to join
