Hey guys,
Thought that I would start this thread in anticipation of the 2013 Anniversary Rubicon.
Im excited to see what Jeep has come up with to make this Rubicon "limited".
Hopefully its more than just some AEV bolt ons like the COD was.
Please feel free to post what you believe it might look like or any info you may have on it.
Hopefully Pat will post some info this month on this thread about the new Rubi.
If this Rubi is as great as I hope, Ill be trading my fully moded 2012 JKUR in on one.
So typically prototype vehicles are one off vehicles meaning they did not come of of an assembly line, or they were pulled from a line then the prototype team adds the items that will be on the production vehicle, this include the vehicle actually being painted by a person. So what I'm trying to say is that no one will actually know what anvil will look like until it come off the assembly line with the machines painting it. I'm I the automotive industry, I can mix two gallons of paint the same color for two painters and the colors will look different, also most manufacturers don't clean paint guns between color changes so some ones billet might have some anvil and so on.
So Pat and Archer...was Anvilgate actually a publicity gimmick by Chrysler to drum up interest in the 10A? If so, it apparently worked. They sometimes bring new vehicles to Moab for testing with parts of the vehicle covered or disguised. Maybe the off-color photos and weird show lighting were an intentional disguise? If they ever need true-color photos in Moab, have them call me.
I am ex navy and that is just the color I was hoping for. Now if my dealer hasn't messed everything up maybe I will have one show up in a month or so. Thanks Pat!
I figured out the Toledo is an "11 hours and some change" drive from me in Va. Heck, they will just truck my baby right on down here!!! MAYBE i will see it in mid March. I think i'll revise the delivery date i posted earlier from early April to March 20th...

Thank you FAP, yes we'll probably keep it 'til the wheels fall off, or at the very least until the next Wrangler redesign in 2016-17, or whenever it is.

Loved the Jeep commercial. Made me wanna kiss Oprah on the lips...not!
The commercial was outstanding. Makes me want to reenlist or buy another Jeep. I guess buying one would be smarter since I have been out for 21 years. Ooh Rah!
