You know, im not even sure what the final total will be. It'll be close to $41,500 on the sticker i think, but i dont plan to pay quite that much when i take delivery. The dealer that i have worked with several times before put the order in, and the guy isnt all the helpful. I ended up getting the options info from this thread because he couldnt provide a list of options and related prices. He also claimed that the winch was included, but after reading this thread, i see that it is not. So i guess i'll find out.

With the 730N media center, tack on $1,520, and the body color hardtop is around $1000. So a 2 door with just these two options will be $40k-ish. a 4 door version of this will run another $3500 more. Dont forget there is $995 in Destination Fees.

Im talking sticker price above, before discounts. If there are any discounts offered by Jeep, please let me know, otherwise i shell for the full deal minus however much i can negotiate down with the dealer when it arrives.

Wow that's amazing what kind of company do you work for. I ordered mine with options it listed for $43,500 and buying it for $39,900. Not sure if that's a great deal or not??

Yes I did. And I didn't have to put a deposit down.

Nice work. I guess I have a couple months to work down the price with my dealer. I ordered my last JK too, and spent three hours upon delivery at the dealership working down the price. it would be nice to avoid that this time.

Well I ordered my Dozer through the same dealership and was taken care of so this would be my 3rd jeep rubi through them.

We supply some of the plastics and electronic components, and we have a pretty decent affiliate program with Chrysler. I just walk in with the papers, flash an ID, and the price is predetermined.

Your price seems to be pretty good. If you just calculate the price I paid vs the MSRP, I had a ratio of 91.9%. Based on the numbers you supplied, you were at 91.7%. Granted most people should be paying less than MSRP by negotiating, but at least it serves as a fixed point of comparison.

No idea if that is the best way to compare, but seems as good as any, I guess.

I am set to pay 91.27% at this point and I plan on negotiating on delivery day. My unlimited with options MSRP was a staggering $45,640, had I upgraded the radio it would have been $47K!!! $45K can typically buy a WHOLE lot of car so I am hoping this 10A retains more value then any wrangler before it so I can help justify going top shelf. My Subaru STI retained 51% of its value after 8 years so I hope this is as good a value if not better being limited.

Here's some interesting, albeit blurry, screen pics of the 10A bumper end cap brackets, from the video link that active Eng29 posted. I'd be a little afraid to bump anything too hard with them, but that certainly goes for the regular factory bumpers also.

I like removable caps, think they should have made them storage caps though. Just a thought....

Looks a little anemic in my opinion. How is that even remotely functional as a piece of safety equipment. I saw that too but the pics posted show it better then trying to pause the video. Seriously thin metal if you ask me.

Making the Moab package and optional rear locker look better.

I'm sure there will be aftermarket beryllium/titanium tree crusher replacement caps available from AEV a month after we take delivery of our 10As. For a nominal fee of course!

Is that road legal, forgive my ignorance. Never had or researched a wrangler ever before my son and I decided this would be our next family fun vehicle.

It's state by state. I have to have them on when on the road in my state.

After watching the video several times, it looks like there are 4 bolts holding on the end caps. Two on the top and two on the bottom. If you watch the first part of the video showing the 10a showing an up angle on the underside of the front bumper, you can see what looks like two screw heads. Yes, they look a little chinsey, but they still had to meet NTSB requirements, so they should be fairly substantial.

Take it from someone who has crashed ('01 trailblazer), hitting the corner of what looked like a well built vehicle and that the corner (back) was pushed up to the passenger seat. The front corners are more for pedestrian and obstruction protection, not impact protection.

A removable stock end cap is a radical feature that I am looking forward to getting.

I'll keep them on, until I need them off. I would rather have that little bit of extra protection.

The scenario set is too broad to say. Granted, the end caps do not look particularly robust, but a little something to soak up energy is better than nothing at all. Besides, I actually like the look of the full width configuration. That in itself is probably as much a driving factor as whatever bit of protection the end caps may provide. As of right now, we do not know how this new front bumper will perform in dead-center and offset impacts. I do know enough about vehicle design to say that even if the component is frangible (read: sacrificial), then that is better in terms of soaking up energy than having nothing at all.

I think I might pull the trigger on one, having issues with my 2012, so I'm going in to my dealer's on Monday to have a chat and see.

I had decided against trading my 3 week old 13 JKU Sahara in last week. Then I kept coming back to this "stupid" thread and getting sucked in and reminded that I really wanted a Rubicon. Called the dealership where I got the JKU and they are offering me just over 3% below invoice on a 10A and no deposit. They hinted that they really want my business and if that price is not what I want, let them know before I go with the dealer one mile from me(they are 60 miles away). They are decent, but they KNOW they are going to try to make a killing if I trade my 13 and don't sell it myself. Decisions...decisions. If I don't buy the 10A, I'm sure I'll regret it for years. I still remember seeing an "Orvis edition" Wrangler years ago and still think/thought it was the best Jeep I had ever seen.
