You may also have a little leverage when you go to pick up to negotiate either extras or maybe shoot for 80K even or something. They won't want to miss out on two sales in one fell swoop.

Great choices by the way. I might have gone red interior in one if them but get you can't go wrong with what you got.
Honestly it's not that bad. We are only financing 14k on both. So we will be alright.

For the red... Neither of us really cared for it. It wasn't till we saw black was an option for the interior that we even talked about the purchase.

Stealth Grey Metallic was "exclusive" to the 2005 Cadillac CTS-V. It became standard on the 2007 GMC Sierra in 2007 and remains through 2013. It happens. You may be right.

Well, I ordered an Anvil/Red 10A JKUR on Friday. It is pretty much loaded except Nav and remote starter.

I plan on replacing the head unit with a Kenwood at some point, so I held back on the radio. I live in the south and don't see a need for the remote starter.

Any comments on those choices before this gets locked down?

Thanks to all who contributed to this forum. Your comments helped me decide how to build out my Jeep.

Great choices! I also held off on the 730n as I plan on doing something aftermarket like an ipad mini or something similar? I didn't see the benefit in the tow group since I went with 4.10 gearing anyway and a hitch is like 90 bucks. I didn't think about the trailer wiring but I thought it was already run most of the way and some kits come with the extension. I didn't get the smoker group as it only adds an extra 12v outlet and one is plenty for me. I will hard wire everything else. Besides that I am pretty sure I got everything as well.

I agree, I hope they keep some stuff special for you guys and keep the limit at 5000ish as expected. But I hope that if it is popular they will see that things like the bumper and other off-road items are in demand and they offer them to the rest of us in the future. Even if it is in the next Wrangler incarnation...

First post,Ordered "my 10A Rubi" on 16 Jan.

Anvil
Unlimited
Dual top (black)
Black seats
130N Radio
Auto
4.10 Rear diff
Auto Temp Control
Side Air Bags
Max Tow

More than excited about my fourth wrangler purchase (92, 99, 10, now 2013).

My concern is that my dealer stated that "my unit" still needed to be "manually scheduled" and that he was pushing to get it in as early as possible. What does this mean and how does that effects when I get "my jeep" or the building queue? Any thoughts or suggestions to make sure an error with my order doesn't happen and I don't get "my jeep"??

Thanks to to all, I have been tracking your posts for over two years pending this decision to buy "the one"! :-)

Nah. You guys have seen more of it than I have. Especially if you went to the auto show.

I just noticed that the repair paint for dune and anvil are now in stock. That's why I was looking for the paint code

Sorry, no pics from inside the plant. Will say that I'm sure the story that is posted online that says they drew inspiration for anvil from a brute garbage can is believable

may not be news to some...
I can't speak as to the reliability of this website, but scroll to the bottom for 10A dates: March 4 for production start and for Anvil. Same as what my dealer said, so I'm going with it.

(Sorry if this doesn't work on a desktop, on the web thru my phone)

So if production does start on 4 March, when could we expect delivery at the dealers? 2 weeks, month? anyone have an average? I hope my Black/Red 10A is number #1 off the line!

Supposedly #1 off the line is going to the winner of the contest at the x-games this past Friday.
Also based purely on reading all of these posts and people getting VON/VINs it seems as if red seats will come first?!??!?

If you got auto temp and live down south, I'd want the remote start for cooling it down in summer. I have it on mine for use in both extremes up here in VA.

I got the 730N myself, but I wanted it to be factory installed and warranty covered.

It depends on where you are located. Transport takes much longer than assembly, unless you are in Detroit or one of the adjoining states which cuts the transport to truck only. For me in Atlanta my Grand Cherokee had to schedule and stage for a rail car, then the train had to travel half way where it was broken down and cars rerouted, then once the train was reassembled it went on to Atlanta. Once there it had to be unloaded and scheduled for a truck to bring it to the dealer. It was over two weeks just for transport.

I will say that once it went in to production total time was 4 weeks. The dealers etc. usually quote 4-6 weeks.

Hey, off topic, but wondering about the Auto Armor ultimate paint protection my dealer offers. It claims to protect from bird droppings, hard water spots, even paint overspray, etc., anyone recommend?, waste of money?

My dealer also is offering some DuPont coating that fills all the micro pores in the paint making it effectively impervious to staining from bird droppings, sap, tar, etc...
I never take any of the things any finance guy at a dealer has tried to sell me as I learned early on in my car buying life to be wary of "technological marvels" that are really really cost effective. If they were that reliable I would imagine some manufacturer would start incorporating them into the standard production vehicle.

Anyone do the DuPont coating before?

Save your money, a coat of wax on a regular basis will do just as well. The dealer "wonder" products for paint and interior are all more or less "snake oil" at an outrageous price.

I have several antique show vehicles with paint jobs in the 15-20K range. A high quality wax is your best bet. Zaino is an excellent product but only available via mail order (online), it's pricey but great. Meguires is my next choice. They have a few new products with nano polymers which are well worth using, I can't recall the name and they are out in the garage. I usually take the best paint awards due to the vehicle appearing to be wet the shine is so slick.

Yeah, I was wondering about that as well. My 10A is going to be around a long time what else should we have done to protect?
