Hey guys,
Thought that I would start this thread in anticipation of the 2013 Anniversary Rubicon.
Im excited to see what Jeep has come up with to make this Rubicon "limited".
Hopefully its more than just some AEV bolt ons like the COD was.

Please feel free to post what you believe it might look like or any info you may have on it.

Hopefully Pat will post some info this month on this thread about the new Rubi.

If this Rubi is as great as I hope, Ill be trading my fully moded 2012 JKUR in on one.

Price in the northeast of $42700

I ordered a 2 door auto trans, remote start , got the black heated leather seats instead of red. Dual tops Freedom top an premium soft top 430n navigational entertainment system the connectivity group and power is standard on this model, auto air basically everything else is standard besides winch and heater block. the price i listed is with 7% sales tax for my state 4 year registration, tags and all legal dealer stuff. I was told possible delivery for 3/20/2013

If it does have the AEV hood, hopefully its vented. Im not a fan of the COD non vented hoods.
It probably will be expensive. I hear it will have some kind of red leather inserts in the seats. I also hear that it will only be offered in the Anvil color.
Of course this is just hear say.

My buddy had the first year rubicon edition that was released. It was a 2004.5. Google search said 2005 was the first release.

How would a 2013 offer a 10 year anniversary? Bean counters are bastards, but they can't bend time last time I checked.

I just ordered a Rubi from Pat and he was great!

I figure the build will be similar to a COD. Hopefully with the AEV hood.

What would be cool is if they do some special edition color. That would be sick if they did one in camo!!

What would be great is if they made it a rock krawler -- stubby bumpers, gas cans, etc. Who knows, maybe it will come stock with a lift. I doubt they would do 35's on it, but at least bigger tires.

Pat mentioned something a while back that it was shown at the dealer meeting this year. And that Jeep has asked everyone to keep it a secret until November. We have just a few days left in Nov, so it should show up anyday now.
It seems that maybe Pat or Milous might know about this Rubi, but cannot tell anything about it until they get the ok from Jeep.
I wonder if the Rubi will be able to be ordered in Dec???

Watch it be a diesel. Id be so angry. I want a diesel.

Diesel definitely not, lift definitely not, everything else who the hell knows. I think we all think it will be a COD, but we all have no frig-gen idea. Pat its the end of November just tell us. We can't wait anymore. Think of the information as an early xmas gift to the forums.

I was told I would get the info on the 28th, I did send an email today and am waiting for a call back.

I'm also assuming COD. My crystal ball says limited color (anvil), maybe signature interior color (red?), decals and painted wheels. It will be cool, there will be haters, and Vegas dealers will "price adjust" up $8k easy.

Very curious to see it.

The only thing I have heard is the one shown at the show in Vegas had removable end caps on the front bumper but who knows if that made it into production.

I am interested in seeing one myself. I had a Red 2004 Rubicon that I purchased in March of 2004. Sold it in 2011. Recently purchased a 2013 Commando Green, before I heard anything about a 10 year anniversary addition. I might have held out, but I really like our new Jeep.

Place your bets now....
What color will the wheels be?

All Black?
Current version?
All mineral Gray?

Fingers are crossed for a nice early Christmas gift from Pat in the next couple of days.

I've been talking to a local dealer (OH), but if he does play the "limited availability - no price break" game, I would be more than open to traveling to see you, Pat. My wife is already pulling for that option, just because she loves traveling... anywhere, any time :)

As for what to expect - I would say definitely an Anvil color option, but I'm also guessing some color availability in at least some of the "staple" colors, other than Anvil.

I'd bet on new wheels, maybe some "custom" stitching & trim (mainly interior), hopefully a vented hood, and a sticker package. Removable end caps would be cool, but I hadn't even imagined that until Pat mentioned it.

Excited to see what Jeep and Pat have to reveal to us in the coming days...
