33s will fit fine and not rub. There is a member of my Military Jeep club that runs them on his Rubi.

Question on the navigation system for Pat or others. I ordered the 730N, but since I seem to have time to change some options on my Anvil 10A before its fully accepted by Jeep - I started reading on the 430N in more detail. I've read a lot of posts in this forum and others, Youtube video reviews, etc

It appears that if you pick up the 430N w/ connectivity package - the only differences between the two are:

- Better positioning (dead reckoning) w/ the 730N
- Live traffic updates w/ the 730N

I've also read that the 430N has an updated interface and uses Garmin as the GPS provider

I've also read a lot of complaints on this, and other forums, about the 730N unit - it appears to be error prone, in many cases slow, and the interface is antiquated and not nearly as nice as the 430N

Has anyone found the same to be true? I'm wondering if I should switch to the 430N - I have live traffic in my other car and I don't get much use out of it - and if the 730N is being reviewed by users so poorly - it may make sense to move to the 430N if you're only losing live traffic and dead reckoning

Anyone found the same?

Thanks in advance...

From what I've gathered, the 730N only bothers those that came from vehicles with 430N. That's just the conclusion I came to on my own though. Seems like they(former 430N users) are the only ones unhappy with the 730. Those that went straight to 730 without prior experience with the 430 liked them just fine.

I Love it! The mystery is awesome, it allows us all to dream... I am dreaming about a sequentially numbered vehicle with a plaque and certificate, and a winch to boot! Does anyone remember the 1982 Jeep Jamboree edition?

ps: that "slate blue" color chip looks a little like anvil. LOL

I haven't really done a ton of research, but in addition to your list above, the 730N allows you to speak to the GPS and tell it changes to the route on the fly. With the 430N you'd have to pull off the road and stop before you could make any changes to your route. Both systems you cannot use the touch screen while driving, but the 730N you have the ability to still make changing just by talking. How useful will that be, that remains to be seen, but it's an additional item that the 430N can't do.

This would be nice to find as a supplemental on the 730Ns

Anyone know what, "These units are manually scheduled and I
made a phone call on yours to push it along." means? I placed a order and was given a VON for an Anvil JKUR 10A, but was later told the above quote? Does this effect the build queue?

Thanks!

Only on the new unconnect units with 8.4 screens but they need the powernet power architecture not found in a wrangler, or not yet. Hopefully for 2014 but likely 2016

I don't know how they are scheduled, but if you know "people" I've heard you can get your Jeep manually moved to the front of the queue.

I don't know how much it will matter with your 10a though as they have not even started building them yet.

My dealer called this morning to give me an unprompted update on my "Anvil 10A". Their contact at Chrysler told them the orders should change status to "BG" next week, the first week of February.
This would line up perfectly with what Pat has told us:
There is absolutely no issue with Anvil. It's not a supplier issue it's not about the amount of orders. It's got nothing to do with any of that or anything that has been posted.

Think of it like any other color. Normally a color becomes available for order one month and would start production the next month. Due to this being a Pre sell event Anvil is open for ordering but won't start production until sometime in March. That is most likely why jeep customer service or your dealer doesn't see any movement. If we didn't have the presell, 10A ordering wouldn't have opened until the first week of February. Again just like anything else what you would normally order this month will start production the next month. But in this case this is a PreSell Event.

Thanks for all of the great and truthful info Pat.

Just got an email from jeep...

"According to our
preliminary provided resources, the 2013 Jeep Wrangler/Wrangler
Unlimited Rubicon 10th Anniversary Editions, factory ordered with the
Anvil Clear Coat exterior paint color, are tentatively scheduled to
begin production in March 2013."

I called my dealer and have them running the numbers on a white unlimted with red interior, 4.10s, and auto. I have an affliate discount code and a friend of employee code. Which code is better or are they the same?
Im going from an F250 diesel to possibley this. My wife hates the ride of the truck now sitting in the back with our 3 month old. I think the Rubi unlimited will be a better ride.

I really like how that color combination looks....hopefully the Anvil 10a's hold true to it.

The suspense is killing me....Only 35 more days till the start of production, 1 to 20 days waiting in queue, and another 28 days waiting for production and shipping.

Couple questions from a newbie to the forum, so sorry if they have been answered already..
Does anyone have a pic of an Unlimited in black with the doors off?

Anyone hear if aftermarket lift kits will still fit on the 10a? I'm assuming nothing really changed under the body to make it different from the regular Rubi to the point where a fancy Krawler kit wouldn't work.. just want to be sure the option is open before I put in my order!

Thanks!

Any chance you did that for the Sand Trooper concept?

Nothing has changed structurally from the regular JK Rubicon

Any updates on a rough estimate on how many have been ordered? I know beginning of last week about 2000 were ordered, anyone know what that number is up to now?

Everyone just chill and wait till you see Anvil with your own eyes. Every picture i have seen of the auto show model, and the marketing materials from Jeep, look a little bit different - likely because of light and camera related settings. That close up shot is great, thanks for that, but it does look rather green compared to many others i have seen, which appear more Brute-blue. That'll be part of the fun - driving up to the dealership to see it first person. I ordered mine in Anvil, and i dont even care what the color ends up looking like to me... blue, green, gray, whatever. It be cool regardless. let the the waiting game commence.
