hey guys, so i ordered my 10A on 1/22. the dealer sent me a VON. When i go to the VOTS page and enter my last name and VON, i get an error stating that the last name or tracking number is incorrect. Should i be able to track this by now? are you guys seeing your order in the system? Thanks

I ordered mine on 01/24 (black, not anvil) and got my VON a couple days later. Mine does not show up in VOTS yet, and when I call the Jeep number they do not have any info.

Just takes some time, I guess.

Finally have a few laying around where I can take a look. Best I can tell it's the same eight bolts that secure the bumper to the front of the frame, Parker. I don't see any other brackets.

They are an available option on the 10A.

It's only like a $200 option. A drop in the bucket when spending $40k plus if you ask me.

You can order the body colored fenders on the Rubicon also. But you have to order the body-colored hard top as well. I went for the Anvil colored top and let my dealer surprise me on the fenders. They went ahead and added the colored fenders. If I decide I don't like them, it will be easier to get some black fenders as opposed to getting anvil fenders later. My '08 and '13 JKU Saharas looked nice with the colored fenders. And they didn't scratch as much as folks say....but then I didn't go off-road a much as I wanted either.

Probably more in the end, you have to order th color matched top to be able to get the colored flares.

ArcherAce...^^^^ This is what I was hoping for with Anvil, but that Nukizer gray works well too. I actually might like it even better! Thanks for you and Pat getting us all hyped up DAILY over the 10A!

I had no idea it was an option. I figured it made sense with the off roading for plastic fenders, but i think body colored look so much better

Good catch! You can have the Body Colored top by itself, but in order to have the fender flares body color you also need the body colored top. So technically it's $1200 (MSRP) extra in the end, if all you really wanted was the fender flares painted.

Personally, I hate the colored matched fenders and top. I like the contrast with the black. But, to each his own.

I also don't like the hard top at all. Call me crazy, I just think it's too much of a hassle to take on and off in the summer and the soft top isn't too much of an inconvinience in the winter.

Wohoo.. Just put down the deposit on my 10A!!!

Black JKUR-10A
6-Speed Manual
Red Seats
A/C
Dual Top
Max Tow
4.10 A/R

Didn't get the 430N/730N cause I am already a navigator in the Air force and that would be kind of redundant.. haha

With USAA and the 500$ military cash got it down to about 3% under invoice.

Let the wait commence!

I felt that way at first (still do about the bright colors Dozer, Gecko, Crush) until I saw the Anvil top in the reviews! Since its a low-key color, I thought I'd go for it. It will be an interesting summer with a painted top. I usually take off my hard top (by myself...no garage) and place it under a tarp in the backyard for the summer. Now that it will be painted, I'll have to figure out a better way of taking care of it.

Again, look at the things in that photo that you know should be black. The fenders are blue. The tires have a bluish tint. The frame near the bumper is blue. The driver looks like a friggin' Smurf. I simply clicked Photoshop's white balance tool on the mirror and came up with the photo below. It may not be exact...but I'm confident that it's a helluva lot closer to the true anvil than the teal jeep above. The misleading anvil photos were either intentional or the result of very poor photography and/or post production.

So how big of a difference is there going to be between the Anvil & the Billet?

Thanks ArcherAce and Moabite!! Now THAT pic of Anvil looks NICE! That is going to be an awesome jeep! One problem...I am not a huge Ohio State fan, but with me living in Columbus, OSU fans are gonna be honking horns and giving me thumbs up thinking I'm the biggest fan yet! Awesome job Jeep. Six more weeks, six more weeks...

I am not doubting you, but how did you get the USAA price? I do it even see the 10A on the list of 2013 Wranglers. Did you actually call USAA? I am quite curious, so thanks in advance.

It seems a bit suspicious that it took more than 2 months from the introduction of the 10A for someone to simply say: "Anvil is grey." Of course, Archer said, "Think anvil is grey"...which is somewhat non-committal. I'm leaning toward a clever publicity gimmick on Chrysler's part rather than bad photography. White-balancing a photo is like Digital Photography 101. You'd have to be pretty incompetent to unintentionally produce photos as far off color as all the anvil photos have been. They seem to keep new colors under wraps for as long as possible. (i.e. Dune)

I am fine with pretty much whatever comes down the pike at this point but what is the deal with Jeep allowing everyone that ordered a color they thought was blue with some gray actually be pure gray? I don't want to hear "it's presell you nimrod" because that is completely besides the point. It's now open for dealer orders and Jeep has yet to clarify what the color is officially. It just seems completely crazy to me that the only publicly shown Anvil 10th Anniversary Rubicons are not the actual color they are going to deliver.

After sleeping on it a couple days I am fiddling around with the idea of switching to white. White with colored top and black fenders will look great too.

Jeep if you are reading just do everyone a favor and release a picture of anvil that is not a sneak photo or modified in photoshop.

I can 100% guarantee its bit a gimmick. As you put it, this is incompetency at its finest.
The corporate folks that are responsible for the pics truly stink at their jobs, as we have seen with the original pics of the Sahara wheels, commando, rock lobster and the list goes on.

So this is confirmation as Moabite and Archer seem to be saying that it's simply a dark gray with no blue? I thought I liked the Nukizer concept but the more I look at the more I think it's a little bland and my current car is Crystal Gray Metallic which is a dark gray color. I was trying to stay away from my current car color which is why I liked that it was a little blue in some light. Maybe not "Baby Blue and pretty" like another poster stated but sheesh it could have something unique like some gray/blue tinge to it or something.

Used the car buying service to contact the dealer about a regular JKUR and she carried that price over to the 10A, which is really just a JKUR with the special 10a package. So add in the package and that was the only difference in pricing. Never actually used the certificate you get for it, but she never asked to see it since I'm assuming they know what that price was anyway.

Moabite, no offense as I am no where near a photographer or graphics guy, I will say that many of your corrected photos have a good amount of yellow tint to them (I know all you did was a simple white balance correction). The only thing I would say with that in mind is that I'm still not convinced that anyone but the folks at the factory really know what anvil looks like.

Now I will solicit your professional opinion. Do you think that there is a chance that there must be some blue in anvil in order for the pictures to turn out like they did?
