Another quick note I saw somewhere on the net the redesign(2015,16 of the Jeep Wrangler) and they should go back to the drawing board. I would love to see a Hemi or diesel. I am willing my 10a to my 2b & 2s let them fight over it.

I agree about the HEMI!!

How much more would a Hemi cost if added. And what would be the total cost with 10A upgrade.

Im guessing it would add a few grand, probably above my price range with the 10A package.

i dunno about a few grand... when i bought my last jk in 2011, one of the sales guys took me out in his jk that had a hemi mod and he said it was about $10k... this includes stuff like the new hood and whatever else to get that thing to fit right, and the labor of course. I dont even know if the 10a hood would accommodate a hemi or if you'd need an aftermarket hood. hmmmm

I guess I was thinking if it came right from Jeep it wouldnt be as much as an aftermarket mod.

I think you're in the ballpark. When I was at the dealer yesterday, the sales guy was telling me about a customer who had put a 6.1 liter Hemi in his JK. Can't imagine how much that thing torqued when he stomped on it! I guess when you have all the dough and a bit of boredom...

Strange. There has to be something. BE is failed edit. It usually means something was selected wrong.

Does the dealership only have the ability to check the status of an order or can we do it from home?

The 10A at the '13 Chicago Auto Show does look a lot more gray in color instead of bluish this time around. But, it could be because it's the only Wrangler there with bright red spot lights purposely shining on it. I think Jeep is trying to backtrack Anvilgate by utilizing lighting tricks. I guess smoke and mirrors would have been too obvious.

Funny how that's even the same Jeep as the Detroit and LA versions. That looks more gray then blue although I can still see a little blue in it. Anvil is going to be a big color changer based on the lighting.

Thanks David M!! That camera and link is awesome. Anvil is a color enigma. It is my Rescue Green all over again. Now all I have to do is wait to see if us "gov't" workers will even be getting a paycheck when my 10A arrives in April! I will sell blood daily if that is what it takes!

I ordered my Black/Black 10th on Jan 22, it moved to BG on 2/5, 2 weeks, does that sound like a normal time frame? I'm only a lil suspicious since I emailed my dealer on 1/30 that I hadn't heard anything.

Thanks Daspes! Next question, how big of a tire can we get on the new 10A rim? I'm thinking about the Dealer installed 2 inch Mopar Lift? 35's look really good!

Was looking at the front bumper up close in a picture and am wondering how the dealer will mount the front license plate. Va is a state where you must display on the front and rear of vehicle. Anyone seen a pic with plates affixed up front? I WANT MY VIN (ha, ha).

Tell them not to mount it. That way you can do it yourself without them doing some random thing they come up with. Also, this July a bill to make VA a one plate state is going in front of the legislature for voting. So ya never know.....

If that were to happen oh the joy I would feel! I abhor the idea of affixing a stupid looking front license plate that doesn't match jack-shit on my JKR10A. I swear the only reason the license plate is there in the first place is it give the famously ruthless state troopers something reflective to aim the RADAR and LIDAR at.

Now that I think about it, maybe my JKR10A's first modification is going to be one of those polarized rear license plate brackets for all the damned cameras on the road.

Hey... Now that I think about it, I wonder if the rear spare tire can obscure the rear plate in relation to some camera angles...

They aim the radar at the biggest moving target, your Jeep-not the miniscule plate.

My LIDAR works just as well without a front tag. But yea, it could be nice to not have to spend $$$ just to mount it.
