Black Seats

I couldn't find a photo of the 10A with black seats so I clumsily mocked one up to help me visualize it. Thought I would share.

Not bad. You even got the stitching the right color.

When you put it that way, yawn, I'm glad I was late in ordering and missed the Black. Guessing my taste and perception has been effected by the ongoing saturation of Anvil with Red marketing. For those who did get Black - I'm sure you'll be happy!

In the case of the Moab bumpers, it is the same fog light. I don't know about the 10a since the bumper comes to us installed. Next time I get one I'll check it out. But without looking i'm 99% sure it's the same fog light.

Was anyone able to confirm 3/18 for new production start date and/or reasoning for delay?

I talked to my dealer about that today and they seemed to be aware of the delay but still assured me that I would have mine in six weeks. I don't see how that's possible though.

Archer would know for sure but yes I was told 03/18 today as well. No reason for the delay. I think the dates at Donlen are preliminary and subject to change.

There goes another two weeks out of spring without a tow vehicle. Looks like summer trips only this year.

Production being 3/18, emails with VINs should go out about 3/4?

I'm not sure why anyone would pass on the red seats. The black looks so bland.

Hope it is ok to post links to other sites. Here is a pretty good tire height and width calculator for those looking to go with other tires on their 10a. I think the size I like to run on stock rims will work ok, LT285/75 R17, going to try them anyway.

I could tell that it sits higher than a stocker when I hopped in the front seat. the 2 vents on the hood are prominent but not distracting. it's pretty cool looking out over the top of them. new tires sound strange driving on the concrete in the plant, but once you get outside an asphalt it's fine.

Did we ever decide why it is higher? larger diameter tire? Different springs? ArcherAce I love getting these little tidbits from you, its mostly why I keep reading this thread. Maybe we can mail some numbered certificates to Archer and he can slip each one in a glove box.

I read someplace, maybe here, they would not produce more than 5,000.

I don't think they will limit the production number at all, but it would be nice if they did and they would number them . Each owner would then mark their own number and create a tag for each. That would be sweet

Just curious: anybody getting a 10A for a collector's item? You know, as opposed to a DD or trail rig. I was looking at people's signatures and some folks have quite a collection already.

It is springs, to handle the heavier bumpers and possible winch. As stated earlier, the tires are a differrent load rating and might contribute to the height as well. I'd love to see if Archer can measure the tire on a stock Rubicon vs the 10A and see if the tire is indeed smaller once it is on the Jeep. You know a ground to top of tire measurement.

ArcherAce reported 5000 total run.
http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/201...ml#post3205293

I guess the fact that they are not numbering them was strategic so they could go more then 5000 but I have to say I don't agree with that decision. Like I said before, if they are going to number a silly video game edition they probably should respect the flagship models 10th Anniversary with a little more pomp and circumstance. I mean they went through all the trouble of creating a spec plate, the least they could do is print them out numbered and throw them on whichever Jeep goes through the line. No need to have them stacked up in number order just one way to recognize the limited status of the special edition.

I stopped in at a Jeep Dealership last night. The sales guy had no knowledge of the 10th Anniversary Edition Rubicon and could not place an order for one. Maybe I've missed something being new to this forum, but does anyone have a date for when orders can resume? I would think that a Jeep Dealer would know and I was surprised by the lack of information. And I apologize if this is not the right place to post this. First timer. Thanks...

The dealer has to select "sold order" before building/pricing and submitting the order.

Kk88, this is nothing new. I shopped 4 jeep dealers in my area, 2 of which had no clue what I was talking about, the 3rd saw it on a website but did not know he could order until I told him the package option to choose for the order, the 4th knew what was going on...after pricing them out I bought from the 4th dealer, even though he was further away, because he knew what he was selling. The other guys were ridiculous for not knowing what they sell. Sales fail big time.

Pat, any other limited editions on the immediate horizon to compete with our 10A? When does the 10A ordering windows close?

Does the production of our 10A limit the availability of other rubi at the dealers. Curious since rubicons are hard to find on the east coast already which is one reason of many I'm ordering the 10A as I would have to order a rubi anyway.
