Hey guys,
Thought that I would start this thread in anticipation of the 2013 Anniversary Rubicon.
Im excited to see what Jeep has come up with to make this Rubicon "limited".
Hopefully its more than just some AEV bolt ons like the COD was.

Please feel free to post what you believe it might look like or any info you may have on it.

Hopefully Pat will post some info this month on this thread about the new Rubi.

If this Rubi is as great as I hope, Ill be trading my fully moded 2012 JKUR in on one.

I was waiting and hoping I would love this 10th Anniversary Edition, but the exterior styling touches they did are just too gaudy. I would have preferred the actual upgrades they did make if they just took away the gaudy red seats and the gaudy red accented stickers. That kind of stuff keeps people away from jeeps IMO.

Anyway I gave up Dana 44 Front and slightly larger tires, and a slight lift for the Sahara based Moab about an hour ago. Just ordered mine. Not that Jeep lost they still got my money, but the 10th Anniversary Edition is just too gaudy, everything else about it is nice but I don't think a lot of Jeepers are look at me people so I don't think they hit the mark on some of the styling Cues.

Don't get me wrong this Jeep is just very nice, I just know personally after like week 1 I would have been like screw these red seats and been sick of them.

The EVIC stuff is cool and amazing, but its hard to get around something so in your face like the seats.

You're kidding, right......Crush, Dozer, Gecko, Rock Lobster, et al are all completely "look at me" colors.

I wish posters would just say "the red seats aren't for me" and stuff the social commentary.

Chrysler is reviving the whore house red interior of the 1980s that was so popular with the big 3 with those seats. Had no idea Anvil would be blue. Looks cool but will hold final judgement till I see it in person. Dealer mark up on these will be huge!

LOL! Yup.

And I cant believe that no spy shots were taken or leaked or anything and obviously there are several 10th Ann that have been out and about.

I've seen this a lot and think the same thing. But it could be hit or miss. Some areas the COD's flew off the lots. But I also saw a lifted COD with a bunch of add ons sit in a show room floor with a lower than original MSRP sticker, so who knows.

I do wonder. Are there dealers that will order a 10A with an Affiliate discount?

I also wonder if the Affiliate Discounts apply?

Walk into dealer.....they want MSRP +$1000. Show them AR discount number and start negotiations at 2% below invoice. Hell, the Jeep mark up will be huge. Look at the COD's

Well I'll probably be ordering an Anvil 10th if everything goes as planned...

Here's the priority of things that need to be changed from the onset:

- Replace the painted black wheels with JKUR grey tone...
- Reverse mount or get rid of the raised white letter tires...
- Remove the Rubicon outlined hood sticker...

Clearly Pork Chop was the inspiration for the Rubi 10th, red seats in all.... I'm okay with it. Looks good on bright silver.

The dealer invoice itself will be ridiculously high, just as it was with the CODs. Some people simply don't have the cash, time, energy, patience or sense to buy a normal Rubicon and build it up properly.

That's ok, though, it's still a great Jeep -- just one that is ridiculously overpriced... :)

Where is the price? LOL have to agree though.
So quick to dismiss though.

As always, a big thanks to Pat for all of the info leading up to the official release!

Is it just me, or are shots of black/white incredibly hard to find? I was hoping Anvil would be cool, but it looks like sky blue to me. At this point, I'm thinking black or maybe white, depending on how they look with red seats.

Please, please, please, make those red seats optional. Or maybe they'll grow on me, but I'm not sure...

Curious to see price point on these.

Would still end up swapping tires and wheels out. Would've been awesome if we got enough of a lift to go with 35"s, but I guess 33"s will be extra safe now? Or would 35"s be doable given the extra half inch and stubby bumpers?

Other additions look nice. Love the hood and bumpers are also nice. EVIC additions are nice - also curious as to whether or not those will be available/unlockable on others...

This hunk of junk is gonna hit 50k for unlimited and no offense to anyone but for 50k I for damn sure it buying a jeep or any Chrysler product for that matter. 50k is corvette money, 5series BMW, e class Benz, LT tahoes, zl1 camaro, Shelby mustangs my god but if I'm blowing half a 100,000 dollars, I want something that goes fast or basically drives the car for me and looks great sitting clean in a garage. For 30k ill take a jeep in the woods and in some mud cause its fun of course an nothing beats the doors off, except blowing off the doors of other cars in 500hp sexy ass muscle cars. Sorry but a jeep is more a fun awesome toy and sick looking SUV not a 50k luxury car, sports car, or large family SUV

Very true ... we went to the Orange County Auto show in October. I sat in a Grand Cherokee Overland.. $50K, Jeep JK.. $44K. I looked and sat in a Ford Raptor.. $70K. All were poorly designed in terms of ergonomics.. I'm not a PU truck person, I like the Raptor ... but way too big for DD and it appears adolescent in nature. My 83 year old mom couldn't get into it.

I also went over to Mercedes and sat in a GLK350, the Grand Cherokee's big brother, but a lot nicer... $53K. A young girl said to me excited, this is best vehicle.. my parents have one.

Do you see a trend here?

Then I wandered over to Land Rover and sat in a Range Rover Sport HSE.. $65K. Very nice! When you sit in this vehicle it wraps itself around you. I could drive for hours non-stop in a RRS.

It's too bad the Jeep Cherokee XJ and Discovery II was discontinued.. both were what I like in a vehicle.. no frills, capable, comfortable and under $35K.

I always told myself I wouldn't pay more than $25K for a vehicle...

Look at me now...

Funny thing is, I've been going back and forth between a JKUR, a C350, and a 5 series :)

JKUR has been winning the battle for quite a while, though.

Well for high 30s the rubi is great and all if you will use it for what it is made for. But I went from wanting and test driving a 2012 glk 350 4matic the c350 4matic and an 2012 sti and then the jeep. I just wanted a fun SUV going from a 5.0 2011 mustang convertible was hard enough so I had to keep some fun in my life lol
