Hey everyone! Hopefully my Billet Unlimited Sahara is going to get built this week. I just wanted to know, what have you all paid for your Jeeps compared to dealer invoice. Did you pay over invoice or under invoice? How much over or under were you? Just want to know so I can get an idea on how much I can haggle on the price of my new Jeep once it gets to the dealership. Thanks!

Your Jeep is siiiiickkkkkkkk! I tend to like the bright colors (like mine), but yours is very impressive and menacing looking.

On Sport S JKU, I paid 2.4% under invoice plus tax, tags, & title without any other influences like trade in, etc.. If I did it again, I would go for 2% under and save the hassle of getting the last .4%. It was painful.

I placed my order last tuesday the 2nd, and it just showed up today in the order system (8th). Yay! So 4 business days + weekend to show up in VOTS. It shows it's in production scheduled and does not show a VOTS #, VIN or dates. When should I expect that to be updated?

Thank you WhiskeyMike! That helps! Anybody else paid over or under dealer invoice?

Most people pay under invoice. I emailed 6 or 7 dealers that were close to me to see who had the best offer. I had a couple of dealers come back with offers that were around 3.1% under invoice.

I should have done what you did and e-mailed around. I already ordered my Jeep. I just hope the dealership that ordered my Jeep is needing to sell vehicles to meet their quota for the month, or having a record month and need my purchase to send them over the top!

If they gave you a price at order time, and you agreed to it, I doubt they're going to renegotiate with you once it arrives.

When you stop in, ask for Matt.
I'd recognize my "gravel lot" anywhere

This one has a lot of options I don't want which jacks up the price (Nav, tow package, climate control, painted hard top), and does not have saddle interior....but it does have all of the items I do require (3.73's, connect, hard-top, auto, heated seats, LSD).

Decisions, decisions....

Not sure what color interior I want (and if I want saddle leather or not)...and I really don't want Nav. A good smartphone >>> Nav (for the cost) IMO.

Nope, we did not negotiate a price on the Jeep at order time. If they try to get me to pay well over dealer invoice, I'll leave the vehicle behind and go somewhere else. I don't mind ordering another one and waiting another month. But, I have lots of info that I have gathered online that will help with my bargaining.

Have you signed up for Tread Lightly? Or better yet, check to see if you have an affiliate discount through your job first. That basically guarantees you nothing more than 1% over invoice. Pat here in Chicago does a no haggle "2% under invoice" straight up if you have an affiliate discount (which Tread Lightly is).

I read on the Tread Lightly website and you have to be a member for at least 30 days before the Affiliate discount takes effect. I believe my Jeep will show up at the dealership before then.

How long until it shows up? Maybe you can delay picking it up by a few days.... Plus, you never know with some of these delivery times....it may get stuck at a railyard for a week.

And don't forget to check with your job.

Also...go to the Jeep website and order a brochure. Make you ask for it to be mailed. Say you are buying in less than a month. You might get lucky and end up with a $500 Bonus Cash rebate which is good on top of a tread lightly discount.

Good Luck!

Sorry to see the new dent. Hopefully you got your one dent out of the way. Not too noticeable. Finalizing my JKUR Billet with saddle tomorrow. Still up in the air about cloth vs leather
Not at all sorry about the dent -- as you said, get it out of the way early!

Tough call on the cloth/leather thing. Why can't someone invent the perfect interior material -- not blazing hot in summer/freezing cold in winter (like leather), not prone to stains and damage like cloth? I'm sure the cars that come with ultrasuede or whatever the newest "matte" fake leather would say that's it.

^That is where I'm at right now...

I got my prices back from one dealer whom I would order from, and another dealer that has a Sahara Billet on the lot. The MSRP and OTD price are within a few hundred bucks of each other between the two.

Do I go black cloth....and take on Nav, Max Tow, and Climate control under the old pricing?....or do I order Saddle leather while dumping the tow package (but keeping the 3.73's), dumping the Nav, and dumping the Climate Control under the new pricing?

Out the door price between the two is $300 (the ordered version would is the cheaper one).

Saddle leather just looks nice and upscale. It makes the interior look more open and classy. But it is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. But a sadldle interior shows scuffs and dirt. Plus you really don't want leather to get rained on....ever.

Black cloth hides stains and dirt. The material isn't as hot in the summer or cold in the winter as leather. And a little water won't ruin it. But, an all black interior looks gloomy.

My brain....

Got the email today saying my billet has shipped. The email said to expect 2 weeks for shipping. I am hoping this is conservative. What is the typical time it takes once you get that email till you take delivery?

Leather would be heated so cold wont be a problem. They are hot when top is off and they sit sun. But you spill something on them it wipes right off and won't show stain or hold smells like cloth. I've had leather in my 2010 but I ordered black cloth in my 2013, I just didn't want to spend $1k on them.

Saw a JK in Billet this past weekend. We are in love!

I might consider trading in the 2011 70th in Bright Silver for a Sport S in this color.....

(fingers crossed that I don't like the Anvil/Dune/10th Ann. Rubicon..... )

Yeah, I LOVED Sahara Tan and Winter Chill...but Sahara Tan was closed before I even knew what the look for, and I missed the "non-Arctic" Winter Chill window that was open for all of month and was already into February/March 2012.

This color reminds me of Winter Chill without as much blue.

I do worry that Dune and Anvil will be exceptional...but Dune seems to have a touch of "peach" to it from the color sample that was released...and frankly, I'm tired of waiting. By the time I see Dune in person...it will proabably be February.....
