Honey, I spent a lot of extra money getting you a step on your side. See how I'm always thinking of you, no matter what I'm doing? Surely you don't mind me getting a lift kit, tires, wheels....

Looks like a whole batch of billets rolled off the line about the same time. Dealer just sent me this pic. Mine arrived today...ordered 9/20...will probably be some time next week before I make it to Denver to pick it up. They still have to install the lift. He only sent me the pic of the one side...hope it has 2 rock rails.

I think the seats need more tan....that is why I went with the WAY overpriced saddle leather. It brightens up the interior and makes it less cave-like.

I also looked at these, which look great, but they don't say they fit rear doors:
Mountain Off-Road JKST07 - M.O.R.E. Hide-A-Step for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

Any thoughts on this? TIA!
To answer my own Q, I bought 1 of these steps and managed to easily install it under the back door, sidewalk side. Required just one newly drilled hole, and one fabricated support bracket.

Son now loves putting his toe on the step and launching into the back door.

Yep, still on the fence on whether I should have done that. Oh well, I'll go w/ the $$$ seat covers and call it good. Now, do I order back seat too or just the fronts...

I love my all-black interior. I don't really care for the 1/2 black, 1/2 tan interior. It just doesn't look like right to me.

I'm fine with riding around in my "black cave".

I'm running a 35 x 12.5 BFG KM2 MT on the stock wheels using a 1.5" spacer. I need to do a little bit of trimming on the front air valance. Otherwise, no clearance issues.

Well...there may be a 2013 Unlimited Rubicon available at a Denver dealer. After giving me a trade in price on my vehicle, and confirming it twice (as recently as 2 hours ago) I get a call from the sales manager a few minutes ago telling me that the book value on my trade has gone down "dramatically" in the last month. I am very close to telling them to stuff it. How can people like that live with themselves? Sheesh.

That sucks!

Time to find a new dealer if they want to pull that crap.

I guess the same thing could happen to me....which would be very interesting because I drove my Libby home from the dealer a few weeks ago and have not touched it since.

I had a similar experience with my trade in. By the time the vehicle I ordered arrived they wanted to ding me for additional mileage and age on my 2010. I took my business to another dealer. Got my original trade in value and saved enough on the new vehicle to make it an overall better transaction.

The dealer was Pollard "Friendly" Jeep in Denver. I just told them that they could take their jeep and stuff it. He was trying to knock $2000 off the trade offer...at the virtual last minute. I will also be also be filing a complaint with Jeep about this dishonest dealer. I have copies of every email they sent to me.

WTF?!?!

$2000 dollars!?!?

$200 dollars? I would be pissed...but could almost understand. 6 weeks and 1000 miles later....it could drop.

But $2000?

F that....

Did you print off the booke value from KBB, Edmunds, ect?

I have my Carmax quote, KBB, Edmunds and Nada quotes all printed off in a folder and are dated between 10/10 and 10/12. I have the same information (minus the Nada) report from when I looked in December of last year.

I would print off the same information to see if KBB or Edmunds has your value dropping by $2000, then ask where the dealer is getting his information from...because all of that stuff would go into my complaint letter to Chrysler.

And the dealer knew very well when my jeep would arrive and when he would be receiving the trade. I turned down offers from prospective buyers for more than their low-ball, last minute switcheroo. The sales price on my '03 was based on Pollard's trade offer and on the amount I would have saved in sales tax.

I have already contacted another dealer about ordering for me...one that has some integrity and will honor what their representatives say.

I just checked KBB...the value is within $15 of where it was 6 weeks ago.

Have you asked the new dealer if he would be able to get your already ordered and built one from the shady dealer?

Hmmm...good idea...I will ask him about that. Thanks!

Now the "shady" dealer is saying they will throw in a set of Call of Duty Rock Rails, buy my plane ticket and pick me up at the airport...but they still lied...if I can even believe that. It hinges on whether or not I sell my jeep this weekend to a buyer who offered me almost as much as I would have gotten in trade...and whom I originally turned down because of the higher trade offer.

At this point, I don't think I want anything to do with the Denver dealer and I would advise others to steer clear also.
