Make that four! I picked mine up a couple weeks ago. No wait as I found a dealer that had exactly what I wanted.

Yep had the parts department order them in for me, hoping to time it right and get them installed right when the dealership gets it..

**edit - mine is a sport, couldn't order them as a factory option.

Basically the only other things will be a stubby antenna from AntennaX and tint the front windows.

Funny part is my wife is all excited I am making the switch. She thinks the COD with the lift doesn't ride as nice as it did stock. Little does she know the lift is already done, wheels have been in the garage for a week and tires are being held as well. Not sure how I'm going to explain it to her. The first time she sees it will be lifted with wheels/tires.
Pat -- Just HOW much does a lift change the ride? Also, how high of lift & how big of tires are you putting on??

Personally I like the ride better. No more nose dive and it seems the "hop" is gone when hitting bumps in the road. My wife thinks it is too rough of a ride, too bouncy. One of the reasons I think it was a little on the rough side is my tire pressure was pretty high on mine due to me driving 70 miles/day. I had the 2.5" with 285/70/17 duratracs.

On the new one I did a 2.5" lift and 315/70/17 Duratracs. Hopefully I can find a happy medium with the tire pressure.

So, a 34.4" tire & 2.5" lift. Interesting. Would love to see pics when done. I had been thinking 3" & 35's, but perhaps that's a bit too much.

Lift installed

Finally got the lift done. More to go but loving it so far. I went with the Teraflex 3" kit w/ all 8 arms. I went back and forth plenty between a 3", 3.5" or 4". I happy with the ride and look. I'm on 35 KM2's. There's still a little rake which I thought I wouldn't like but I'm okay with it.

The wheels are 17" Raceline Monsters and I don't have the centercaps on at this point. I may just leave them off.

I liked the stock ride a lot and now it's obviously tighter but it's great. I didn't get any before pics but you know what that looks like ...here's the after

Went in to sign paperwork yesterday but we ended up needing to wait until Monday. They let me take it with dealer plates. VERY happy with the vehicle so far. Did anyone else get 2 mopar grab handles, 5 mopar utility/hanger hooks, ad a bag of mopar locking lugs? All of this were stashed in the Jeep. Just curious if everyone else got that too?

Also, I did notice that the sound quality of satellite sucks like others have experienced. FM sounds great. I haven't had a chance to try the line in or CD player yet.

I got 4 grab handles,2 hanger hooks and the locking lugs along with the rubber Jeep mats front and back.

I haven't noticed any difference between satellite and FM

Interesting. I wonder if I should push the dealer for two more grab handles and pursue the sound quality difference on satellite. Anyone brought that up with the dealer before?

Loving the billet so far, traded the black 2007 for the 13 billet and couldn't be happier. Was planning to order with black roof and fenders but found a beauty at a local dealer and happy I did, am thinking I can get my fill of black top with the summer soft top.

Pardon my naïveté, but what do you mean by "there's still a little rake?" Also, have you upgraded the tire carrier? If not, just curious how the larger spare is riding on the stock carrier?

No worries, rake is the front sitting slightly lower than rear. It's actually barely even noticeable. I have some bow in the rear springs so I'm going to add the Synergy rear coil wedges which will likely bump up the rear .5-1"?? so I may add a .75" spacer up front if I'm dipping too much.

And I did just install the Teraflex hinge carrier over the weekend. I'm still running the OE spare mount but the weight of that tire has me concerned and I'm likely to upgrade that soon.

Lift, wheels and tires done! That's it for now other than a spare tire carrier.

Looking Good, Pat! For some reason, I pictured you in an unlimited. Mine is supposed to arrive out here in Las Vegas on Wednesday, 2/6 ... Just 9 days away. I can't wait!

Thanks! I'm a 2 door kinda guy, no kids, and no need for the extra room.

9 days will go by in a flash!

Just got an email saying my Jeep is in paint. Dealer says its supposed to ship 01/30. That seems pretty quick. What time frames have you guys seen when it goes to paint?

Jay, wanted to let you know that switching to Billet is really your fault. You kept talking about it and got me thinking while yours was inbound.

I ordered Jan 5. Went to final inspection Thursday, Jan 24. I checked VOTS 1st thing Friday morning, Jan 25, and the status was shipped. I then called the dealer on Saturday for an update, & they were able to look up greater detail. On their end, it was showing estimated delivery of Feb 6. I would suggest calling either your dealer or 1-800-IAMJEEP. (I've never called the 800 #, but others on this forum report good success calling it).

Try different stations on Satellite first... Not all of the stations are "HD" quality... Try Faction or Hits 1....

Picking up a Billet Silver 2 door Rubicon tomorrow night. I did not order from the factory but there was one with the exact options I wanted that the local dealer is trading for. Looking forward to joining both the Billet Silver & Rubicon club.

Just got my JKUR in Billet on 1/21
2013 JKU Rubicon. 37,600 MSRP. I traded in a 2009 Grand Cherokee with 79,000 miles with a Blue Book excellent value of 12,634. Blue Book said only 3% of people get the excellent amount on trade in. They gave me 14,000 trade in and I worked another 1,600 more off MSRP. Paid 22,000+ tax and title after trade in and further wheeling and dealing. Basically Kelley Blue Book excellent value and $3000 off the JKU Rubicon.

Did I get a good deal?

Nice!

-44* F?

That is cold.....

The weather in Chicago is CRAZY!

High in the low to mid 60's in late January today.
Two days from now, the high is 14 and the low is 0.
