Yes, very noticeable... will need to see in person with and without black accents.

Ok, wow... in the sunlight, that's a lot closer to bright silver than I thought it would be. I'm guessing the photos are slightly over-exposed, so it is probably a little darker in person (like the same color on the Dodge Chargers).

Either way, I'm sold! It looks like the perfect way to replace my '10 Bright Silver JKUS with a '13 JKUR!

Now I just need to decide on auto vs manual... Hmm...

Reminds me of tungsten color ford used on the mustang around 05 , slight blueish purple in the mix.

Yes. Anvil is going to be available, but not until March iirc. It has the same production date as 10th Anniversary Rubi, so it may be tied to that.

That is a great looking color!!!!! But the wheels ...I'm trying sooooo hard to like the Sahara wheels...it's just not working for me. The Rubi wheels will look great with it though.

I wish it were darker...but it still looks nice. I wonder if the blue tint is simply the reflection of the sky? Can't wait to see it in person.

I saw the color in person on a 200. I personally did not pick up any blue, purple, or pink hues. Since it is metallic, I imagine it will reflect whatever colors are around it.....

Yes....but it I'll wait to see it in person first.

Also, I think the "let down" part comes fron Commando Green being a touch lighter than expected, and Anvil not being available for a long time. I think the picture is over exposed....so it may not be as light in person. I one of those people that can't stand silver cars, but loves grey cars...if that makes sense.

Yes... if Jeep ws hell-bent on changing the silver, they should have gone with something like Silverstone (Cherokee) or Mineral Grey (Grand Cherokee).

Well my current car is silver and I wanted to go darker, as in grey. This now puts a hold on me placing an order.

Chrysler if you are watching could you please start on some Billets that are sold orders. I don't want to sit in D1, and watch unsold orders be built and shipped. Thanks

Yeah, I agree that the GC dark silver/metallic gray color is VERY nice, and I would've loved to see something similar on the JKs. But, I'm still happy that I waited for Billet; it's a big improvement over Bright Silver, IMHO. I'm just hoping that Anvil is more of an anthracite (i.e., almost black), so that I don't have to deal with buyer's remorse next March!

I got bored waiting on my Jeep to arrive... (still in production scheduled BTW)

So I bought this:

What I think doesn't work on the Billet Sahara is that the bumper trim and wheels are still the old Silver... off on the hue just enough to clash between the two colors. Maybe throwing on black fenders will lessen that?

Definitely liking my Silver 2012 JKU Sahara over the new Billet, though.

Yup i love it. it was either white or billet and white is boring i have it on my f150 so silver it is. But if they still made sahara tan id be getting that in a heart beat.

If this had been more of a pewter silver, it would have been a slam dunk for me. The 2012 MY tan would have been even better... the order would have been placed by now if both were available.

I guess white may be the last resort... it looks better with the new Rubi wheels.

I really wanted dark billet, but it is billet silver metallic - not billet grey metallic. I think it is going to be light. Too similar to all the other silver jeeps.

Silver is silver -will look great with black accents. I already had a '10 2door Rubicon in Silver so the '13 UR will be Commando Green. Wanted to be different.

Good luck with your decision.

I went to see it in person yesterday. Looks awesome, agreed upon it being alittle darker though. I am waiting to pull the trigger on 3 things. 2% below invoice and dealer/tag fees equal or less than zero or under $300.00 (lol) and a dealership that has a sales manager who wants to make a deal with someone. Its amazing that when negotiating and being asked what would you like to pay? You give a fair and assessed value of where the dealership will make money and still feel good about the deal, and the customer can also feel like he is getting a good deal. Yet there is no response. They just stare at you, then state thats what I can do. Invoice. Nothing more. Amazing.

If anyone would like further explanation I would be happy to in either email or PM's.

<rant on>But seriously, I have purchased over 6 new vehicles and 10 used ones including my first LOVE car (1988 Jeep Wrangler) in my lifetime thusfar, and buying a NEW Jeep has been extremely frustrating and slightly aggravating at the lackluster attuitudes of the sales managers/management staff not the salespeople.<rant off>

P.S. Anyone notice the little jeep on the rim?

Hopefully a 2k13 JKUS owner.

You mean the "Jeep" in the center cap?

I didn't even go to any dealerships for my purchase, I emailed several dealerships within driving distance. I told them the options I wanted and asked for a quote. Out of ~12, I received 4 responses, and only 2 would give me a quote -- once was for MSRP and the other was just above invoice. The others wanted me to come down to their dealership and "talk" about the process. So, I went with the "barely above invoice" guy, and actually ended up under invoice with PenFed discount. I'm sure I could have haggled him down more, but I figured he was honest enough to give me a decent price when no one else would even respond. He also gave me a trade-in value for my JK without even seeing it. With the price he gave me on my old JK, I'm making out, I think.

You can find a dealership that will work with you, probably. In reality, though, most dealerships know they aren't going to have to work too hard to sell Jeeps. Some just have that attitude, too, so you have to just keep looking until you find someone who will play ball.

BTW - These pics make the paint look a lot different than the pics we saw previously from a dealership. I know these are in less light, so they appear darker, but this is what I was hoping for.
