All that money for suspension and drivetrain and you go with a cheap Engo winch? Why not do it right and step up to a Warn or Superwinch?

The Superwinch Talon series has the the best warranty in the business with lifetime mechanical and three years on electrical components.

Atlas transfer case if you want to upgrade over a stock Rubicon unit.

I have a Warn on my 2008 JK. My buddy has an Engo and likes it. If it fails, I'll just upgrade. It was cheap, so not much of a loss it I have to replace it.

That is in my plans in the long term. The only reason I would have gotten another Rubi was the transfer case. But, it wasn't worth the extra 15k.
Thanks for the input.

Is that Atlas transfer case available after-market, or is it the stock Rubi case that I would have to find used? Also, do you know if I would have to find one specifically for my 6-speed?
Thanks

Any opinions on after-market diff covers? I need Dana 44's. I have Ranchos on my 08, but would appreciate any input on others.

Change of mind on axles

Decided to go with the Teraflex 44 rather than the Currie one mentioned above. Got a good price on one that had been returned in perfect condition except for one scratch. I think this in combo with RCVs and 5.13s should be good.

Actually, I can't remember what ratio my Sport originally was. I know it came with a slight upgrade. What are you wanting to do with them?

My axles will be ready in about two weeks. Contact me again and we'll talk about it.

For the people who have asked where I am getting my parts, I am getting my Teraflex 44, re-gears, lockers, lift, etc. thru RWK Haus in Yorba Linda, CA. If interested give Robert a call:

My rear diff cover and front & rear lockers.

Although I really liked the Poison Spyder diff covers, I decided to go with Teraflex to match my front housing and cover.

Also got my RCVs:

Goodyear MTR 37s

Since the 80's, I have been a BFG Mud Terrain Guy. The 37s are now on a 2-month back order, so I am going to give Goodyear a chance. I ordered the Wrangler MTRs yesterday: 37x12.50x17. Hopefully I will like them. I've heard good things about them.

I also picked up my Rock Crawler Wheels.

Wow that is great. What was your final costs for all upgrades? If you don't mind sharing I would love to do something like this, just don't have the skills.

Right now I am here (having done most of my own work):
$25760 Sport
$16445 Parts so far
$42205 Total so far

This is a little more than an off-the-lot Rubicon, but a WHOLE LOT BETTER.

I still want an Atlas transfer case, a bolt-on roll cage and Rock Hard skids (about 6K more).

For my money I think it is much better to start with a Sport and build your own "Better than a Rubicon"
