Hey! So I was wondering if anyone who has purchased a 2013 would be able to help me out or give me an idea of what you were quoted as a reasonable price.

I'm ordering today and want to have an idea in my head of how much I should be willing to spend. Here is what I'm looking for (in Canada):

2013 Wrangler Sport S
2 Dr - Gecko
Auto
Pwr Convenience Group
Dual Top Group

I know that for 2012 Chrysler has the $3000 cash - I was told they don't know what promotions they can give for 2013

If you go to the 2013 Wrangler Information thread http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/201...ad-161113.html there is a Excel program on the very first page that will let you plug in the options you want on the model you want and it will give you prices in MSPR, Invoice and 1-2 and 3% below invoice prices. About the least you want to accept is 1% below invoice. The easiest way to get the 1% below invoice from is to sign up for "tread lightly" and get an affiliate discount. Tread Lightly will cost you $60 for a 3 year membership. The spread sheet is in US dollars so will need to do a little math to figure Canadian prices.

I have read where people have negotiated the 1% below invoice price w/o using the TL discount. I would use that number as a target price regardless.

YAY! My order showed up in VOTS today! It says it's been scheduled for production, but has no date. How do I find out the possible production date?

Mine got on the train on July 29 and hopefully will be at the dealer August 9
I wonder how long it takes them to prep it?

I just called the 877 number and got my VIN. They said I was scheduled for production with no other detail available. Time to start researching lift kits and tires!

Give it a few more days. Generally, your order shows up in VOTS after about 5 days and at about the 9-10 days mark you will get an email with the last 8 of your VIN. Give it a few more days then start calling 1-877-IAM-JEEP and asking about your order. Some people on there have better info than others. I call every Saturday now.

Mine, ordered June24th, is "on the line" whatever that means according to 1800#, and it is supposed to ship 8/3!... I have to say, I am really jealous for those of you that live close to the plant. Mine will take about 10 days to get to CA. Waiting not so patiently now. I am not allowed to order anything yet- but I may have to anyway.... It will all be here about the same time

So for a Gecko green nickname - should I go with Slimer and ghostbuster it out, or get a tirecover made like a turtle shell and go TMNT ? I am leaning towards a Cajun turtle

I ordered on 6/16. I have an estimated ship date from dealer of 8/2. I have no dates on VOTS yet.

I *finally* received the order tracking email from Jeep (ordered on 18 July) with the last 8 of my VIN. Of course, I've had my VIN for a week already from the dealer and have been using VOTS, which still just says "production scheduled." Hoping, though, that receiving this email today confirms what I was told on the phone yesterday and it's definitely hitting the line this week.

My Jeep's being put on the train today. It'll be making connections in Chicago on 8/3 and arrive in the Portland rail yard on 8/10. They estimate delivery to the dealer by 8/20.

Ross, since my JKU in dozer is the ONLY one you are watching, you will be glad to know, I got my email this morning - it's in "Shipment" status. *Superhero voice* Must resist urge to call... Must resist.... Must... aaggh... *dialing*

IAMJEEP says... It is on rail car (but they imply it hasn't actually left the facility yet)

ETA rail arrives 8/4 https://local.google.com/maps?q=broo...setts&t=h&z=16 East Brookfield, MA - I wonder if it will be playing cards with robskully's Jeep on the way.
ETA 8/7 6PM Transport arrives at my dealer

Dear Customer,

Your new Jeep is beginning build!

Woohoo! - Vots now shows paint but I hear VOTS isn't most up to date, will probably call to see if there's an updated ship date. It did say my estimated load on railcar was 8/7/12 before, hoping it's earlier.

hmm - I just called IAMJEEP and they don't seem to have the most up to date information, they say it still shows D1 - yet VOTS shows me it's in Paint so i would think it would be best that now.

In Hopkinton, but went to Bournival Jeep in Portsmouth (even though Mariano CJD is much closer). My salesman is active on Exploring NH - which I see as a positive.

We come up to the Fair up there. We stopped at Mariano on the way back from checking out a Winter Chill Wrangler at the Dealer in Tilton. Wanted to see it in person. We wanted to see EVERY color in person before we decided which one we would get. At Mariano they were like vultures ... lol .... I already knew the only one that came close to what we wanted was 8 hrs away in Maryland. They were doing local searches trying to find one then did a max search. They found it and offered to have it shipped to there no charge BUT as soon as I mentioned Tread Lightly the said sorry we do not accept that. I inreturn said ..... See Ya ! lol

So I posted this question in the 2013 Info thread and got an answer from one person on their opinion. Was wondering if anyone else had different impressions or could tell me what they did.

I just ordered my 2013 2 door Sport S this week and wondering what everyone's take on the rust proofing/cloth seat protection and the extended refundable warranty was? Are these worth it? I believe the rust proofing package is around $1500 and the warranty is just over $2000.

Did anyone go for/not go for these?

Noooo!!

Cloth protection, rust coatings, paint sealants, extended warrantees, etc are huge profit margin add on items for the dealers but very poor value for the consumers.

The std. Jeep warranty is already pretty decent.

I say take that $3500 and put it away for future needs and you'll be way ahead in the long run.

My $0.02. I have bought 2 extended warranties (for Hondas, not Jeeps), and I plan on buying one for my new JKU in a few weeks. In my experience, they have paid for themselves 3 times over, and are a valuable peace of mind if you hate unexpected repair costs. Had to replace A/C, transmission, Nav unit (x2), suspension (front x2), headlight relay, windshield washer pump, water pump, and radiator fan, which would have cost well over the $2500 I paid for the warranty. Just fold them in with your original loan, and if you have a good interest rate, it really won't hurt you that much.

Check out Chrysler extended warranty, Factory backed extended warranties for Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler vehicles to get a very reasonable offer. They are real warranties sold through a legit Chrysler dealer.

I agree rust and fabric protection is a waste of $$$. Chrysler's US warranty is better than the Canadian. It is only 3 years bumper to bumper and 5 years powertrain. Plus it is only to 100k km instead of miles. 1km is only .6 miles so we get screwed. I did pony up for the extended warranty which gives me bumper to bumper for 5 years, 100k km and all oil changes included. It was about $1900.
