Max Tow package

This will be a slight upgrade to my 1994 YJ that is lifted and locked.
Congrats! Mine took about a week from the second email to start building.

Canadian Update...

10 Nov 2012 - Ordered through Dealer

Stopped by the dealer today and was told that my 2013 wrangler Sport B was in "BX" status.

Does anyone know what "BX" status means? anyone....anyone? Bueller?

The sales guy seems to think that I'll get it late January or Early February.

Hoping to see it before the 2014's are released.

BX status means its unscheduled and "good order available for scheduling"

Based on some info I've read there's a big rail freight depot in Newark, NJ that a lot of vehicles are delivered to by rail that end up in the tri-state area. The Chrysler tracking system calls this "Doremus NJ" which is not an actual name of a city but the name for the holding area. I think it's named after the street it's located on. From there the cars get loaded onto trucks for more localized delivery and the final leg of the journey. The cars are loaded by union labor in the order of which they arrive or sometimes in no order whatsoever. According to my dealer at that point it's possible for a dealer to "Hot Tag" a vehicle so it gets to the front of the line, or closer to it. Hot Tagged vehicles are supposed to have priority as they are mostly Sold Order vehicles that customers are waiting on but my dealer has doubts to whether they are actually treated differently due to the nature of the facility and the fact that it's a union shop.
Good stuff. Thanks! Lehigh Valley is no more than 1.5 hrs for the final leg.

Congratulations. The next four weeks will make that two and a half years feel like a blink.

That is a great looking build!

Congrats and welcome to the room! Sweet config I might add. I have to agree with the above. The 4-5 week wait will be a drop in the bucket compared to 2.5 years.

I am so close yet so far. Waiting to get a call from my dealer. Last week he said that it would have been here this past Monday. Today is Wednesday and still nothing.

My salesperson is also on vacation and won't be back until tomorrow/Friday

Not to mention that even if it were there, I don't have the time to get to the dealer before the weekend.

Here's to hoping that this weekend I will have my Jeep!

Well the upside to all this waiting is that I've enjoyed this thread. I hope you get your jeep soon. I'll be sending positive waves out into the universe for you.

Thanks. I think it will take a little longer than 4 or 5 weeks with the holidays. my best friends uncle has been a millwright at that plant for 30 plus years so I will see if I can get some insider info on it.

You may be surprised. At least I hope so! I believe most of the wait is in the back end, after it's built. The wait for a train. Travel to a major distribution point and then the final journey to the dealer. At least it seems to be that way.

They told me it was going to take a while. I guess I just thought they were exaggerating the wait time to encourage me to buy something off the lot.

Extra, Extra! Read all about it! A car salesman made an accurate statement!

LOL. That's a first, a salesman who is accurate. But, you will get EXACTLY what you want at the end of the day.

I just hope my 2001 ford escape makes it to the end of January. She's limping along. If she were a horse I'd have to shoot her.

But yes. At the end of the day (3 months later) I'll have exactly what I want.

I do only live 45 minutes from the plant so the shipping might not be that bad. Put the order in around 4:00 today so I hope it will be in the system tomorrow.

Years ago when I worked production at one of the Chrysler plants they'd let people drive their new vehicle home right from the plant. You still had to pay the delivery fee but it just never got loaded onto the transport.

I don't know if that option is still available or if it was strictly a Chrysler employee perk or something.

I wish I understood this process. I ordered 11/19 and I'm still in Production Scheduled. Let us know when yours arrives - hope mine won't be too soon thereafter.

Try calling Iamjeep. They may have more updated information than what is in VOTS.

The funny part is I called yesterday and they told me it was scheduled but no work had been done...checked VOTS this morning and it was in Shipment! I've noticed some of the IAMJEEP reps are fantastic and tell you to call back as often as you like and give lots of details (or as many as they can)....while others just put you on hold and tell you to wait and it's a lengthy process. Wish you could give some props to the good ones - they seem to *get it* why we are excited to get info.

How long have some of you waited until you received the 'Production Scheduled' email before you called IAMJEEP?

The reason I ask is because I ordered mine 12/3 and the first email I received was on 12/10, which was normal. However, at that point, it was at the 'production scheduled' part.

I originally got the first email like you did on 12/10 just recognizing they got the order alright and they'll send you the exact same email probably a week or two later after that initial one. this is when it actually gets scheduled for production and if you call they might be able to give you an estimated ship date but no progress on the actual jeep itself. THEN maybe a week or slightly longer you'll get an email or check vots and it'll say that it's getting painted , trim ect.
So an answer to your question lol wait probably two weeks to call to get any real info. Or when you get another email saying production scheduled. I hope that wasn't too confusing lol.

This is what I have.

11/26 ordered
11/28 first email
12/10 called but no info
12/12. Second email

Going to call tomorrow.

I feel like my Jeep has been built faster than it normally should have:

11/08 - Jeep Ordered
11/19 - Jeep Being Processed
11/20 - Jeep Being Built
12/03 - Jeep Shipped
12/13 - Jeep Scheduled Delivery

Is that a ridiculously short order period? Or is it just me?

Anyone know how long it takes for the dealership to ready the Jeep once it arrives?
