All in all very happy it is here, should get it Friday after they apply the Midwest protection package. Would have taken a pic but the daughter had my phone playing games. Might sneak one through the window later tonight.

Well appears it will be sooner
pics to come, looks great dirty and I want them to show me where my remote USB is located as I have read others couldn't find it.
Congrats on the great news! The remote USB port (assuming you got the connectivity package?) is in the center console, at the front of the console about 30% of the way down.

JK congrats, that's always awesome news, under promise, over deliver...

I didn't order one, but I bought one from a dealer in VA (I am in NY) and won't be able to pick it up until Jan. 12, so I am still waiting.

Here it is:

Sahara Unlimited in Billet silver
6 spd
Black leather seats with heaters
UConnect 730N Radio system
Premium soft top
Front side supplemental airbags
Connectivity Package
Slush Mats (dealer throw in)

Very excited to take delivery.

Well hopefully I won't have to hang out in the waiting room much longer. Dealer texted me pics of my Rubicon. It's at the dealership waiting for me to pick her up Saturday morning!

Angry Build Cycle Delay

Does anyone out there know when the Wrangler Build Cycles fall? It's been over 2 weeks since I placed my order and a VIN has still not been assigned. 877iamjeep has no information associated w/ my VON, my dealer swears up and down that the order was placed correctly but now thinks that the next build cycle hasn't started since my order date. Anyone heard of or run into this delay?

Did you maybe order it right before the nearly two week long plant shutdown?

We ordered one on 12/07 and no word at all from anyone on a VIN or anything as of 12/31, over three weeks later. I know they were down for the holidays until January 2.

Wow, over 3 weeks and no info?!? I must have been one of the lucky ones to order in that small window too! And I'm guessing those 6-8 weeks don't include the plant shutting down for the holidays either, do they?

So I have been waiting on a Jeep to arrive at my dealer in Anchorage. I have already negotiated the price and put a deposit down because I was out of town and did not want it to be grabbed by someone else since it is exactly what I would of ordered. The dealer keeps saying next week for 4 weeks. Not a big deal since I was gone for so long but now that I am back I got ants in my pants. I have the vin is there any way toget information on its process.

That may explain why I have not moved out of final inspection this week as I expected. I got a VOTS update on Dec 21 saying I was in inspection and IAMJEEP said I would ship on Dec 22. That didn't happen and I have been stuck in inspection since with no estimated ship date. I was under the impression that the plant reopened this week (Jan. 2) but maybe that is not the case.

Wow, that article in the Blade contradicts what I was told by the 877iamJeep folks, however the article is a month old and production schedules may have changed since it was posted? I'm still chalking up my 'zero progress in over 2 weeks' delay to the plant shut down. I thought they'd have the plant up and running this past Wednesday, especially with demand for the Wrangler being what it is.

Thanks for the information @ArcherAce! I really wish the dealerships & 877iamJeep folks all had the same information to pass on to the masses.

It looks like you work at the Toledo plant. I would love to hear some commentary on your experience at the factory.

One question, IAMJEEP informed me today that my order had finished the build but was selected for a "100% inspection" which has delayed my delivery. The representative indicated that this was a random selection and certain vehicles are pulled aside for a much more thorough inspection than is typical. Does this make sense to you or did I simply get a bit of the runaround? Thank you.

Yes, I work at the plant.

I'm going to assume that "100% inspection" means your Jeep went to audit. Each day a dozen or so vehicles are pulled off the end of the line and gone over with a fine tooth comb. It is completely random AFAIK. It will delay shipping by at least a day or two depending on what they find. Any Jeep that goes to audit will have a few miles on it when you receive it. There will also be a small sticker in the drivers side window saying that this was an audit car.

Is it better? IDK... Personally I'd want my Jeep ASAP!

My Unlimited Rubicon is estimated to load on the railcar on January 9th. Does that mean it will get assembled early next week?

-Ordered from dealer on 12/8/12.
-Entered order on 12/11/12.

The first part of the wait wasn't bad, but now I feel like a kid a few weeks before Christmas!

Ordered my JKUR in Billet on 12/29 and dealer called me today with a VIN. Still no emails from Jeep or I can't lookup anything on VOTS. The wait is going to be killer!

My best friends uncle has been a millwright at the jeep plant for 30 years. Its funny you use to be into mustangs, Ilive Five minutes from the mustang plant in flat rock. My best friend works there and he is always sending pictures of Shelby's coming down the line. As soon as the jeep is paid off jam going to get a mustang.

Officially took delivery of our JKU tonight. I'd like to says see you all later but after I took some pics in a well lit area before hitting the road. Drove it home (a short distance) and my brother stopped by and was looking it over, he noticed that the undercoating from the midwest package was still wet. I was a little upset and took it back to the dealer and told them to put it in their garage so it dries properly and make sure nothing is wrong with it, stuck to the coating etc...

Will be picking it up again at 4:30pm tomorrow.

Here are the pics I snapped taking it home the first time.

Could possibly be one of the last Gecko's you see in here

I don't know many guys in the trades by name, craigwieck. I'd probably know him is I saw him though. After all these years I've pretty much seen everyone.

I had a Shelby back in the day. It wasn't built in flat rock though. They didn't build them there in 1967. I use to drive past the flat rock plant everyday on my way to jefferson north to work.
