Got a 2013 JK Sahara Gecko on order, scheduled shipping date of tomorrow, Aug 13, 2012. Called the dealership yesterday and had to tell them that I have to cancel my order for now. I owe my thanks for this to the black cow that said hello to my truck at 4:20am Saturday morning while going 60 MPH heading to the lake to fish a tournament. Tuck possibly totalled, boat in for fiberglass repair, but here is the pisser of the whole thing, cause of the way Texas' law is written, I may be liable for the cow..... Got to get the truck sorted out, then back to getting a jeepl.

That bloody sucks. But what's important is that you walked away from it.

Arizona law is the same. The Ol' West is a fine place, but this isn't 1882 any more and cattle need to be grazed responsibly.

Trying to upload some new 13's on a lot. The blue is obviously why I was there looking, can't wait to get mine! The silver and black were 12's. There were two more in the back, blue and black.

Just curious, will it need to have steering wheel on other side if exported to UK?

Updated my VOTS this morning and it was still in production scheduled. Updated 30 min later at 830 and now it is in final inspection. Called IAMJEEP and they stated that it is suppose to be put on the rail car today and possibly by the dealer on friday or saturday.

I share your pain, in '98 I hit a cow in the middle of a state route in Ohio, my insurance had to pay due to state laws. The farmer was pissed at me and I didnt even get a steak out of the deal :-(. I think if you hit it you should get to keep it, since your insurance has to pay for it :-D

I think you and I ordered on the same day (07/18); last Thursday I was given 08/16 (after getting 08/23 a few times) and yesterday I was given 08/23 again. I honestly don't think they know when it will ship, haha.

I'm starting to wonder if the delay with the leather orders in June is affecting all subsequent orders that came in, since leather is now building/shipping. Maybe that's why our dates keep changing?

Finally!! VOTS is showing my saddle leather JKR in paint this morning. Hoping that means I'll see it in Phoenix by the end of August.

My specs:

2013 Wrangler Rubicon
5-Speed Auto
4.10 Rear Axle Ratio
Trailer Tow Group
Leather Trimmed Bucket Seats
Dozer Clear Coat
Black/Dark Saddle
Uconnect 430N CD/DVD/MP3/HDD/NAV
Air Conditioning w/Auto Temp Control
Power Convenience Group
Supplemental Frt Seat Side Air Bags
Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows
Connectivity Group
Premium Black Sunrider Soft Top
Remote Start System

I've been holding off on doing anything until I saw something that showed it was being built. Today's the day! Just setup my USAA loan pre-approval, so I'm ready on the finance side when it shows. Also ordered a few goodies to add first thing:

Mopar grab handles (3) and one coat hanger
Mopar black fuel filler door
Mopar soft top zipper lubricant
Midland 1001LWX Compact CB Radio (hmmm... where to mount that...)

My wish list on Quadratec is long. My wife: "Great, so I have gifts for birthdays and Christmas for the next 2 to 3 years!" Me: "Really?!? You're going to make me wait that long??" Think I'll be sneaking in orders over the next few months!

Just an FYI, my 2013 showed up with 3 Mopar handles and a coat hanger strap in the center console. Not sure if my dealer threw them in or came from the factory....

D'oh! And this is why I was trying to hold off on ordering anything, but I just couldn't wait anymore. Oh well. I'm sure I can find a friend in need of them.

My wrangler is being shipped and I want to share a great financing source. I got a loan from PenFed Credit Union @ 1.49% for 5 years. It cost $15 to join.

That's who I've used the past couple of auto loans as well. Great experience with PenFed. I plan to use them this time around too.

There is no cost for certain federal govt agencies and other affiliations. Just check their homepage for details

Finally got a ship date! 8/21, but may not reach Southern Ohio until 9/1, depends on how long it takes to fill up the truck it's on. Dealership also told me I cannot "unwrap" it because they have to inspect it, blah blah blah. I see their point but am still disappointed.
I owned a couple of Saturns before I owned Jeeps and if I can just say that Jeep dealerships could learn A LOT about service from Saturn.

Incredible! What kind of conditions do you have to meet to qualify for that rate? The credit unions I have talked to offer a low rate but they require you to have your check electronically deposited for their low rate offer, and if not then its the normal rate usually 3.5 to 3.9.

I went through Navy Federal CU and got a 1.8% rate. Conditions? Make it through boot camp and SOI.

PenFed is for Army/USAF/DoD/DHS and a few other agencies. I belong, but have never used them for an auto loan.
