I have a white 2013 jku coming. I just received a call from my dealership this past weekend. I ordered a week ago, and dealer called to tell me that it will be at the dealer ship early to mid next month. So for me a 2 to 4 more week wait. I checked VOTS and that says they are just collecting parts for the production line? So who knows...
This will be my first jeep, and honestly I really pretty excited about it. I have had a few white chevy pickups for the past few years (2003, a 2005 HD, and a 2008 crew cab). I guess I'm just bored with the pickups and need a change.
I ordered the power package, alpine stereo upgrade, 373 rear end gears, and soft top.

My Jeep hit Final Inspection today. I was surprised when I got the email. I'm excited to get my first Jeep but I won't be holding my breath waiting for delivery. Well, maybe a little.

I owned a couple of Saturns before I owned Jeeps and if I can just say that Jeep dealerships could learn A LOT about service from Saturn.
I told my dealership that I wanted to unwrap it. He said no problem.

My JKUR in Dozer hit the dealership late this afternoon. Because of work I don't think I'll be able to get it tomorrow but hope to pick her up Thursday. I ordered 6/25, auto, 4.10, and max tow package, no other options other than dual top.

From what i seen on the order no. They dude charge me for a light conversion, I believe just like most european countries it has to have a rear fog so the factory is doing it, which is nice! We military people take American cars all over the place.

Got another email this morning saying it shipped. One step closer!!! I'm going to resist temptation to call the dealer. For now anyway.

Well that was unexpected. Got an email from VOTS this morning saying I am in paint. Called 1-877 (was going to wait til Saturday) and she confirmed that I was in paint and will still ship on the 21st. Isn't VOTS usually behind the 1-877 number?

I've ha crappy experiences with 4 local dealers, and at this point I just figure 98% of dealers SUCK and the 2% that are awesome have guys on the message boards. My Jeep wont see te inside of a dealership after I get it unless it needs warranty work or recall work.

I might have missed this being stated already, but for those that have gotten their 2013's, does the exhaust still make the crazy-a$$ loop?

I was able to pull up my window sticker this morning for my Jeep built yesterday.

The wait for this train trip across the country is going to seem like an eternity.

Are the seats waterproof? I seen a video with a guy who said they weren't but never hurts to get a second opinion.

Can anyone confirm when an order should show up on jeep.com/VOTS or with 1-877-IAMJEEP? I ordered July 25th and my dealer says I am in D, but it does not show up on either system? I have a VON and the last 8 digits of the VIN? Does it not show up until it is D1?

Mine showed up in VOTS about 5 days after I placed the order.

My Rubicon was built yesterday and is on a rail car today!

How were you able to pull up the window sticker? Can you provide the link you used for the window sticker please? And were you able to pull it up using the last 8 digits of the VIN or did you need the full VIN?

Thanks!

My sales guy owns a Jeep. I think that makes a difference.

Just to give you an idea, I ordered 07/18 and mine went into D1 status on 07/31. As of today, I'm still in D1 but have an estimated ship date of 08/23.

But honestly, I don't think there's a set timeframe for any of it, even if you've ordered on the same day as someone else, dates seem to vary. Kinda frustrating, haha.

Absolutely, I am more asking at what point it shows up, not a timeframe so much, but a status code point. I would assume all vehicles in D1 show up, but do vehicles in C or any B statuses show up?

Totally understand that vehicles ordered same day with same specs are not built together. I ordered a Commando, so not being built until Sept at the earliest. But others with Commando could see their order within a few days. I have been 3 weeks and it does not show up on VOTS or 1-877-IAMJEEP? Yet dealer is saying I am in D?

Is it because I am in Canada maybe? Do Canadian orders show up on VOTS/IAMJEEP?

I was able to see mine in VOTS 2 days after I ordered, using just my VON, quite awhile before I entered D1. VOTS just said "production scheduled" and that's what it still says, almost 4 weeks later.

I didn't realize you were in Canada; I vaguely remember reading somewhere that VOTS doesn't work in Canada. Maybe there is a different IAMJEEP contact for Canada?

Same here. I joined this morning and got 1.49% for 60 months.
I only had to do a $5 deposit but well worth it IMO. My cousin is in the Marines so maybe that's why it was $5.

And yes NO conditions at all and I specifically asked them if auto withdrawal was necessary or anything else. Called them over the phone....took maybe 15 minutes. I will use PenFed in the future as well.

Found it!

http://www.jeep.com/hostc/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=<YOUR FULL VIN>

But we only get the last 8 digits, so I did a bit more research and found a VIN Decoder for 2012 Wranglers on another forum. Building my VIN for my black interior/no side air bag order worked! But I can't yet see the one for my saddle interior/with side air bag order. I'm sure I did the VIN correctly based on the decoder, so there may be a delay before the sticker is available...

VIN Decode:
meanings.

The first number is the country of origin.
The second letter is the vehicle make.
The third number is the vehicle type.
The fourth letter decribes car (restraint system) truck (gross vehicle
weight).
The fifth letter decribes the vehicle line.
The sixth number decribes the vehicle series.
The seventh number decribes the body style.
The eighth letter decribes the engine.
The nineth number is the check digit.
The tenth number or letter is the year of the vehicle.
The eleventh letter is the assembly plant.
The 12 through 17 numbers are the series numbers.

I just got of the phone with 877-IAM-JEEP and no change in my status: D-1
My order went in on July 18th (just like hbgirl) for a JKUR with cloth, automatic transmission, side air bags, maxtow, connectivity, and 430N radio.

It was scheduled for build on July 27th.

They said it is estimated to be loaded on the rail car on August 23rd, reach Westfield (Houston) rail yard on the 30th and off-loaded on the 31st.

I think the "scheduled for build" means that everything was scheduled then. The frame and body are built by different companies in the Wrangler Assembly Plant now known as the Toledo Supplier Park which is located at the old 4000 Stickney Ave. location.

The chassis is built by Ohio Module Manufacturing owned ultimately by Hyundai. The body is built by Kuka Systems and the paint facility is run by Magna Steyr. Chrysler takes the chassis, painted body, and other subsystems such as seats, dashes, engines, transmissions, wheels, etc. and assembles them at a forth facility at the Toledo Supplier Park.

VOTS shows all of many different steps that are displayed in a serial order but I doubt that the actual manufacturing exactly follows that order. For example, the body is built first and then sent to paint about the time the chassis is started on. The painted body and chassis show up on the final assembly line about the same time and are then bolted together and final assembly begins.

The final assembly on mine should begin this week or next. Final inspection and adjustments will follow with hopefully railcar loading occuring on the 23rd.

Can't wait!

My order was to be build on 8/13 & shipped on the 8/16. Today back to status D1 !
No build date- no ship date. The Dealer has no ans. Just waiting one month from
Order date.. THIS JUST SUCKS. No ans from VOTS. Jeep customer Service is zero
Help.
