Those stock Rubi wheels sure look sharp already.

Damn I am envious right now!

My friend I think you are wrong. The Split Pea is a great color. It will look great on a Rubi with black flares and top.

Make sure you read the break-in instructions. They have some tips for the first 500 miles especially if you are cruising on the highway... oh, I almost forgot - Congratulations!

Yeah I hope so. I will reserve final judgement for an in person viewing. I think I was just shocked at what the color turned out to be. I had been watching and saw all the mockups and really like alot of them and this turned out to be way, well, way more split-pea than I thought. It might grow on me, and may indeed look good in person. I don't know. But I do know that it may be contrary to what many want. Last year we got Gecko and Black Forrest (black, no forrest...) which weren't traditional greens either. I have liked watching for the new colors for the last couple of years, and can't wait to see this one too!

Thanks! Yeah, I've read those. I plan on taking the back roads at first. I'll try to keep it around 55 for that first 500.

I am Semi back. Have 4 baby squirrels to feed and lots of clean up. Private message me the vins on vehicles that have been ordered a few weeks. Too soon and I won't see anything.

Just got power back tonight and will be in and out tomorrow. What a mess

Anyone heard from keschete since the storm past through? Hope she made it through with minimal damage!
I am back! Got power tonight after 2 days. We have 2 generators, and were able to get fridge, internet and Direct TV, but we were trying to conserve gas. We have a weeks worth, but we didn't want to put too much strain. One generator will run 12 hours then we switch them over.

No phone only able to Facebook.

I also got 4 little friends (I rehabbed wildlife for a long time and worked the BP spill cleaning birds) so everyone calls me. The storm was devistating for squirrel babies. Lots out of nests. I am sure my numbers will double.

3 pinkies

1 older baby and one other being picked up tomorrow

So I am feeding often. I may be in and out checking vins, still a lot of cleanup left, thank God no damage to the house.

So glad you are back and safe!

Don't forget the oil in the generators. They are usually supposed to be changed pretty frequently. I think every 80 hours which adds up fast when you are running 24/7.

Your new family is cute!

Thanks! Generators only ran 24 hours each. My husband is the pit crew and is in charge of all things engine related. Our Briggs and Straton is about 15 years old..he takes care of it religously. The second generator is some foreign thing that we picked up for Gustav. 5 gallons of gas gets 12 hours so we switch them out. That way we aren't stressing either. He changes the oil and gas out at least once a year.

The three little babies are having a rough time. I am gonna see if the vet can see them in the am. I think they need antibiotics. They were bitten by ants before rescue...they are eating, but could be looking better.

Welcome back! We were wondering how you were doing! Glad to see you made it with little storm damage and injury free! Now start praying to the power gods.

Arggg! This is getting way beyond old! Just got off the phone with 1-877 again. According to them, the Jeep was to ship on 8/20 and be at the dealer on 8/23! (well no $hit). Have you called your dealer to find out when this shipment is due they ask. Yes, called my dealer and they are all but clueless! It appears that Becky, who said my Jeep was scheduled to ship on 8/29 was blowing smoke! Maybe I am over reacting and my Jeep is on a hauler just 10 minutes from my dealer! Hey, it can happen!

I have read where some of you ordered mods through the dealer. What kinds of things are available through them? Do you go through your salesman or through the parts department? A lot of my dealings with the salesman have been by email, so I don't have the normal flow of conversation where he can try to up sell me. :-).

I ordered a 2 door even though I probably should have ordered the Unlimited due to kids. The big difference to me, since I am not the one climbing back there, is that the backseat for the 2 dr only has 2 seat belts; the unlimited has 3 seat belts. The only thing I have come up with is ordering the Unlimited back seat from the parts department, which I have been told that I can do. Any thoughts on the practicality of that?

Thanks everyone!

Is it pretty normal for the Jeep to arrive via railcar and then sit at the destination for 4-5 days? Looks like it arrived yesterday or today, but won't be at the dealer till the 4th. I wonder if Labor day has anything to do with it, but then again the dealership is open all weekend for labor day sales..

I should note too that the dealership it is being delivered to had nothing to do with the actual sale. I bought it via ENCS, the dealership it's being delivered to is just facilitating the paperwork and TTL. The one time that I called them, they seemed almost annoyed at having to talk to me, and told me not to call back asking about it, they'd call me when it was ready. Frustrating considering I placed the order on June 6th with the first group and still am waiting.

I just got off the phone with "Becky" from that 1-877 number who stated mine is on the railcar in Toledo with an expected date of arrival at the dealer on Sept 3rd. I guess we'll see on Monday if she was bull****ing me too.

Nice color. I was debating that or the deep cherry red for mine, but since I already have a blue camaro sitting in the driveway, I decided to mix it up and get the red.
