I would still like to know where exactly you got that memo. Do you work for the dealer and did you question them specifically? The Dealer Connect website has the following info. It does not say that the Black leather will be delayed 3 week, only that you can not order in this ordering period. Also my order is still in D1 status, not C status. My husband can not find any confirmation for this.

I sure hope it all fits cause I've bought about 15k of Jeep accessaries. Doesn't look like much has changed. For your lighting solutions, check out sPod.com. They have the most awesome switch console that goes above the rear view mirror. I bought that from them along with 3 sets of Dually II Rigid Industries LED lights and one 40" RI LED. John and Cinde are awsome. I got my Viair air compressor set up from jeepswag.com Bret is the awesome one there. A 2 1/2 gallon air tank mount/skid plate from River Raiders. Now my Gobi rack is coming from EAD where Alec is the man!!! He is also supplying me with my Poison Spyder front and rear bumpers and Brawler Rockers. Alluminum flat fenders from Genright. And all the other goodies from Quadratec. I bought three sets of PIAA lights if you are and one else would like a good deal on them. I changed to Rigid Indrusties light so I won't be using the PIAA's. Warn 9.5 cti, orange Amsteel synthetic winch line ( definate must have) RotoLox gas cans, Security compartment for rear of jeep, conceal drawer for under driver seat, tread lightly floor mats, and so on and so on. I been saving for this for three years and I had $22k for accessories. I hope I have enough. All I need now is the Rubicon. You can read about my trip next year in the thread on page three I think. I plan on going to the Easter Jeep Jamboree in Moab 2014.

I have gone nuts!!! Go read my comment on the previous post. Also I have three sets of PIAA lights if someone wants a good deal. I changed to LED lights.

Wow. I've only got about 5k worth of mods picked out and none ordered yet. Looks I'm a little behind.

Yes. I ordered a 2013 Sport S at my local dealer July 6th, and got my VON on July 11. Haven't gotten any e-mail and I'm not showing up in the VOTS system. Hoping that will happen soon. -SK

Hi All,
I'm new here. I ordered my first Wrangler on July 6th. Never really considered owning a Jeep, but I was looking for a vehicle that could tow my trailer, had a manual transmission, not too big, and not too expensive. The Wrangler seemed to fit that description, and the more I researched, test-drove, and talked to other Wrangler owners, the more I got to like the idea. So I ordered:

Wrangler Sport S (2-door)
6-speed
Trailer Package
Side Airbags
UConnect
Deep Cherry Red

Now I'm getting increasingly impatient (never pre-ordered a vehicle before).

Have found this forum very helpful, and enjoy reading other's comments.

The after market options/customizations/upgrades for Wranglers are absolutely insane (I mean that in a good way). But, I'm not sure I belong on the same forum as 00dan (I budgeted nothing for the vehicle beyond what I'm paying the dealer ). But some of the mods seem so very cool! I can already feel myself being tempted... Darn it! I just want to start driving it! Pre-orders are a cruel torture!

(Anyone else in Canada pre-order or have experience with doing so in the past? Does it take longer to ship up to us, here in the Great White North?)

Well I bought windshield mounts from EADoffroad. They were fairly inexpensive. I will be using them for the LED light though.

Hey there Sck,
Welcome to the forum. I haven't been here long either. Yes, you do belong here. I think everybody is at a different place in the Jeep world and this is a really cool place for some good info. Pele have been so helpful and friendly here. Much different than what I've seen on some other forums. You get people in nasty little arguments and stuff but not here. My wife and I have been married for 32 years and our son is moving more into the management position of our business (Crossroad Machine). That is freeing us up a little more to enjoy our 50's. We have been offroaders since we met in 1976. Over the years we've had different kinds of 4x4's that we've enjoyed. This will be our third Jeep. Our first one was a 1946 CJ3A. I rebuilt that from the ground up. I was ok. On this Jeep coming up we have been saving for for three years. I started researching Jeep accessories some time back. It doesn't take too long to find the optimum equipment with the help of knowlagable people in the industry. John and Cinde at sPOD have been very helpful pointing me in the right direction on several things. You can read about our trip plan in an earlier post here in the waiting room. I think it's on page 2 or 3. Hope you enjoy your new Jeep and keep on posting. Have a great day.

How is the waiting so far... I know last year when I ordered my 2012 Wrangler in early June, I was going crazy the whole month of July and part of August.
All I can say is hang in there.

Man it seems like it's taking forever on the waiting. I ordered June 7th. Well i'm going camping this weekend and then it should start building. So hopefully I just have less than a month to receive it.

didnt think of even asking ....lol ....
I was SHOCKED it was comming so soon.
I was thinking mid Sept !
I pass the the big car/truck rail yard in Ayer, MA where they load them on trailer trucks for shipment to Dealers every day on the way home from work. The Dealer is only 5 miles from
this place. I'd crap if I saw a White Unlimited going the other way on the truck ;-)
I think still to soon to really say when shipment really is.
I would guess a week maybe.

2013 Rubicon Delayed

Got a call today from the sales guy where I had ordered a 2013 Rubicon on 6/22/12. He tells me the leather seat option will delay delivery into September. He asked if I would want to take vehicle with cloth seats and then the dealer would have leather installed (2 days) for no additional cost. When I asked if that would include heated seats, map pockets and height adjuster he said he would have to check.

When he called back that was going to cost more. I didn't even ask about whether the side airbags that were part of the order would be accommodated in the leather seats or if that would be still more.

Eventually I decided to wait for Jeep to get their act together

Never seemed to have these problems with my last two Land Rovers.

I'm raring to order a Billet Sahara 2-door with leather. Of course, the color and leather aren't even orderable at this time.

Might be October/November before I see it.

Is this fate telling me to buy something else?

For those of you who ordered and have VIN#s, did the vin come in an email like the initial order confirmation or did you have to ask your dealer?

I haven't gotten ANY emails from Jeep.
I just emailed my Salesman and asked him to run another
POC sheet (Priced Order Confirmation) for me and email it to me.
He sent it within 1/2 hourand it had all the info listed on it.

I received my VIN today so I decided to start bugging Jeep. Their customer service was great. I ordered my JKU on 7-9. It is schedule to hit the line around the 8th or 9th of August and load onto rail car sometime around the 11th. It will be delivered by rail car to within 30 miles from the dealership on or around the 19th.

I know these are all just estimates, but it's got me excited anyway.

Hah!

I ordered on the 22nd of June, got the first email from Jeep on the 26th, then on the 28th got this:

"Dear Customer,

The parts required to assemble your new Jeep have been received, and your vehicle is now scheduled for production. Your vehicle may reside in this status for up to two weeks as the production line is prepared for assembly. To follow your vehicle in production, please login to the Vehicle Order Tracking System (VOTS) with the information provided below: "

Not so based on the phone call today from the sales guy, tells me the leather seats are a problem (see my earlier post for details). After reading other posts in this forum, will the 4.10 gears be the next issue?

Already traded my old vehicle in, thought I could wait six weeks without much problem, but now it sounds like mid-September perhaps for the new Jeep. Summer will be over . . .

I never received an email from Jeep, so I emailed my salesman to get the VIN
I learned about the VOTs here and my Jeep is scheduled for production.
Hoping to learn more soon

Ordered 7/2. Got second email today with VIN. Called Jeep #, said "estimated ship date 8/10... but that is the less accurate system, the other just says scheduled for production today."

I took that to mean he could see i got the scheduled with part email today...
