My Sahara order went in on Monday morning. I received my first email from Jeep this morning. I hope the next one is sooner.

I ordered on August 16. Automatic JKU Rubicon with leather seats and everything else. It was built on September 5. It was originally slated for a September 21 delivery, but I received it on September 24.

After exactly 7 long weeks of being in production scheduled, Insight is FINALLY showing me in D1, with a production date of today! There is hope!

I went with Auto on mine. I was thinking it was just bad timing with others models being scheduled. But see a few other's who ordered similar around the same time taking delivery. I am canadian though and have heard from a few sources that they take longer.. I would understand delivery time, but not production.. you'd think it shouldn't matter. Oh well.. patience, i'm sure it'll hit D1 soon enough.

How to get notifications of Insight updates

Hopefully this isn't a repost. Here's a way to get a pop-up on your computer screen when your Insight or VOTS page is updated. Requires Firefox. An add-on called Update Scanner https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...pdate-scanner/ lets you know when a page is updated. You can set it to check every 5 minutes to once a week. Here's what you do.

1. Open Firefox
2. Install the add-on at the link above
3. Go to your Insight or VOTS page
4. Right-click on the page and select "Scan Page for Updates..."
5. Set the Autoscan slider to how often you want it to scan
6. Set Change Threshold to "Low" so it will pick up change of even a few characters, like a date, etc.
7. Click Ok, leave Firefox running, and wait for it to pop up a message that there's been a change to your page.

Go to Firefox Button > Add-ons and click Update Scanner Options for more settings, like whether the notification pop-up stays for a few seconds or until you dismiss it.

It even highlights what's changed, and you can toggle between the previous version, current version, and current version with changes highlighted.

Here's what it found for me today after just 9 days in D1. Hot diggity.

good find. there are a few GreaseMonkey plugins that do a similar thing. I'd recommend no more than once every 12 hours for an update frequency, though.

My jeep is "staged for shipment" as of 1:23pm on insight! According to the future dates, it was supposed to be loaded onto the railcar at 11:00am though so hopefully it still gets loaded today..

We ordered a 2013 Rubicon in True Blue and a standard transmission. Ordered the connectivity group, nav system, heated seats (cloth, since we want to put in the katzkin leather seat eventually), with all black interior and a black hard top (still have a soft top for my '11 which should work still . Also, we ordered ours in late June, so it wasn't even up online yet to look at. We were thinking of having the lift from the factory, but have heard not-so-great things about it, so we are holding off for a bit on that as well. We've always wanted a blue one, and are pretty excited for the new engine. Supposed to be here on friday this week, and we cannot wait!! So anxious for her to get here, guess I need to think up a new name

As far as the trade in and new car deal goes, our dealer gave us 2 separate negotiations and a really good trade in price on our '11. It's still in good shape, and we've paid it down fast in preparation for this, plus we got an insanely good deal on it from this same dealership. It's been quite pleasant dealing with them and we are getting a nice little discount for being return customers. Happy to say that it's been one of the better experiences we've had with buying a vehicle. At our dealership (Grand Junction, CO), they can't keep the used Wranglers on their lots for very long, so they are always happy to get them in.

Anyways, that's our Ordering experience so far

Hey guys, I forgot to mention, while I was placing my order (2013 JK Wrangler) I was asked if I wanted half door or full doors. I never knew this was an option. My sales rep recommended I go with full doors.

Since you are ordering an auto, you may want to clarify with your dealer if you are getting 3.73's or 4.10's.

Also, if you get the Slush mats, you lose the regular mats. Better to buy the slush mats on your own.

Trying to get help where ever I can. Is anyone familiar with the American Expedition Vehicle ordering process?

Here is my situation... I ordered a JKUR with an AEV JK350 build. Initially, in VOTS I was in a D1 status as of 9/20 with my dealership as the delivery location. When a VIN was issued the dealership changed the delivery address to AEV and placed my order with them (AEV). After viewing the changes (a new build date of 9/26) in Insight, I called IAM Jeep and they told me that there is a HOLD on my Jeep, but I still have the original estimated ship date of 10/4 which I know is not possible. I never seen it go through any of the production stages either.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Pentagon Federal Credit Union. If you can join any credit union, you have the best chance at really low loan rates.

Pentagon federal is a credit union that will give you 1.49 loan . I got mine for five years. You have to open an account for five bucks. Don't know all the rules
Give it a try.
