2013 JK Owners: Gentex GENK40A Swap?

It's kinda a bummer that the 2013 JK has auto dimming mirrors but no homelink added to the rear view mirror. After looking at past posting about adding homelink I was thinking is it possible to do straight plug n play swap with the Gentex GENK40A?

I know what the wire plug looks like on the 2013 rear view mirror but I could not find any pics of the plug for the Gentex GENK40A.

So does anyone know if this will be a plug n play or will I have to splice wires to add homelink. I like this swap idea better than adding a seperate module on the visor.

I find this forum to be very imformative and I thank everyone for their inputs.

I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to see what type of plug they use. It should be self contained so all it would need is the power connection.

I couldnt find the 40A, I was thinking about doing the 45AM swap, or the 50A (dont really want to run the temp wire, i kind of wanted to keep everything the same)
can you tell me what color wires are runing to the mirror? or what pins are connected?

is the standard harness

is the mirror back for the 50A

Were you able to install the Gentex mirror?
