So I've been going back and forth on where to start with mods and whatnot...finally decided to replace the stereo first since I have components sitting in the garage that I took out of a truck I sold to get the Jeep.
With the addition of a new head unit and some speakers for the sound bar the build is planned. Gonna be a few weeks before I can get it into the shop for the install, but Merry Christmas to me I guess...pretty basic system, nothing wild:
HU: Pioneer 80PRS (no nav or DVD but I don't need that...I will get streaming BT audio and hands free connectivity via BT for my phone, among other features)
Fronts: Focal 6.5" components (6.5" in the dash, 1" tweets up top)
Sound bar: Focal 6.5" coaxials
Sub: JL Audio 10" in custom enclosure (sub in the same location to save space but firing outward as opposed to the Alpine 8" firing inward)
Amp: single Audison SR5...5 channel amp rated at 4x70w for the front channels and 1x260w for the sub channel
Ran this amp, sub, and front components off the stock HU in my Tundra and it sounded great! Nice tight bass, clear mids and highs, no distortion and alot of depth to the music. Excited to hear it with the extra coaxials and running with a HU that has great built in EQ and tuning features. Will post more once I get it installed.
