2013 JKU Sahara Paint Issue

I have a 3 month old Dune 2013 JKU Sahara that was manufactured in March. I noticed what appears to be a blue base paint coat showing through on the hood where the hood hinges attach, on the doors behind the hinges and some other locations. It looks like the Dune paint was not sprayed to cover those surfaces.

I took it to my dealer this morning and ended up having about 5 different folks look at it, including the head of service and head of the paint shop (Not because I asked or was angry, but because the problem must have required the head-guys to resolve). They took a bunch of photos of the problem areas and said they would contact Jeep to figure out what to do.

Have any of you experienced the same problem? Any suggestions on how I should approach the problem with Jeep? The thought of painting my brand new JKU does not sit well with me.

Hey there,
I have a 1 month old Rugged Brown Sahara - noticed 'grey" areas around all the door hinges, hood, and a few under the hood. The ones under the hood I can live with/understand. When I looked at other, non-Sahara Jeeps at a different dealer there were no pain issues. I went back to my dealer within a week of purchasing it and he brought out 2 other Sahara's. All had the same, missing/grey areas around hinges.
I explained that while this may be "normal" on all the Jeeps, it doesn't make it ok. He said he would contact the dealership warranty rep to see if they could do anything. It's been 2 weeks - no word. So I am contacting corporate today

Seems to be a common problem on these rugged Brown Wranglers and perhaps thats why the color is already discontinued. I have a very poor factory paint job. There is shadowy blotchy areas on the hood, cowl and both Pass side orDrivers side doors I cant remember which. Not to mention around the hinges. I believe that rugged brown is a tricoat paint with a pearl base coat. Seems the second top coat (Brown) was sparyed too thin in areas. Has anyone gotten any resolution? I would not allow anyone to repaint it. It seems no matter how good the body shop it would never be a factory look. I'd rather deal with at that point I suppose.

My Sahara is black. It has the same issue, no paint around the hood hinges.
I mentioned this to the dealership when I was having a P0441 evap leak problem being looked at expecting to be blown off. They took pics and Jeep approved a new paint job. It will take 3 days in the shop.
