Moab bumpers are easy... Those are AEV bumpers, I have them on my rig. Get the rear without tire carrier and front tubeless and your set.

This is true off most special edition models. Just like the chevy/gmc special edition yukons/denali models.

The work around is if you can get someone to share the vin, your good to go.

Thanks Aperture! Do you know if this comes with the interior heat liner (and will the 2013 windshield equipment work with the hood)?

I will check back in the morning and report back.

I am pretty sure it doesnt though, hoods are usually just sheet metal ready for prep and paint. I can check and see how much the liner is seperate.

The hood does not include the silencer (#68194967AC - $53.50)
You will need to order a new one but you should be able to use everything else from the original hood including the washer system on a 13. Our 10A is a 2013.

I'd be curious about the dual nozzle vs. single. AEV appears to be redesigning their hood to accept dual nozzles. Does it mean that the hole in the hood is so much larger for the dual nozzle they have to do that and does it mean if you stick a single nozzle in the dual nozzle hole, will the space be too big etc.? This for 2012's and under considering the hood.

Dual means two. Two holes, not one larger. When I ordered my hood, i just specified 2013 with dual nozzles and asked for no holes for footmans loop and bumpers. Your body guy could take care of it too if you ordered with no holes.

The box was too big but out of the box it fits fine. I am tempted to leave it black but I will check on paint quotes tomorrow. Back ordered the under hood mat and the plastic vents.

I used to like the AEV hood better, but the more I see these the more I like them. Looks like I might be doing this soon...love that hood, but love the AEV too...I guess I have to flip a quarter..LOL

I need to figure out if I want to have the two (or all 4) holes filled for the window bump stops. Doubt I'll ever fold the windshield down. Hood might look cleaner with just the windshield nozzles

Interesting. You have me confused though, dual nozzle means to me one nozzle with two outlets or "spritzers" in the one nozzle. Isn't this one of the changes in 2013? Where the two nozzles each have 2 outlets? If so I would think in order to accommodate two outlets in one nozzle, the nozzle itself would be (a bit) bigger than a nozzle with one outlet? Which would mean the hole in the hood would have to be a bit bigger than before. This is what I gather by AEV redoing their hood to accommodate these dual nozzles.

More importantly and what's of interest, do you mean you can order these 10A hoods without holes? I wonder where these hoods are coming from where you can do that? What other Jeep OEM part can you request customization.

Might all seem moot at this point since the Chrysler guy says you can now order the actual nozzle as well, I guess the plumbing from the reservoir to the nozzle is the same tube, just splits 2 times by the nozzle.

Two nozzles would be two separate sprayers/spritzers on the hood. Each has two very small holes for washer fluid creating the fan pattern we see hitting the windshield.

What I am considering is having the holes filled prior to painting since I don't plan to fold the windshield down. Here are two mockups, left image is how it comes, right image how it would look with the holes filled. Only the two washer nozzles would remain.

How many of the small circular plastic push "pins" are needed for the 10A silencer? P/N?

Advance would be cheaper.

Quote to paint was $600. More than the hood cost!

That's ridiculous. I was quoted $400 for a fiberglass hood that would need flat sanding/prep work etc. but if its done right and matched flawlessly (blended) it might be worth it?!

Talk to the guy that does the painting at the dealership. 9 times out of 10 he also does painting on the side and will give u a lot better price.

Rock Lobster Red appears to be a challenging color to match. When using a paint scanning tool, if it were a 1 or 2, the shop was fine without a bend but it scanned at a 10, so they won't guarantee a match. In order to get a match and have the color look correct, the body shop recommends a blend to the front end. This means some additional disassembly, 5 days at the shop and $2,200 plus any misc parts (fender rivets, etc) This is a high end shop in Northern VA, I have seen their work and it is top notch but that kind of money gives me some pause. Option 2: They offered $550 to paint the hood, I install and the color might be off slightly.

What's there to match? There's a set formula:

Vehicle Search Results | FormulaExpress® | Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes

Before I'd spend 2000 dollars, I'd buy a can of rock lobster and clear coat and test some metal if you can do it yourself. Then consider 2000 dollars. Even if you fail on the hood, just re-do professionally.

I would suggest you list this in the for sale section. Also, if you sell that bumper for that price, let me know!!
