2013 Soft Top, Full Door closure question.

I'm sorry if this is redundant but I've done a few searches and not come up with anything.

My 2013 Wrangler Sport isn't my daily driver. Its my fun weekend toy that had the top off all summer.

Now that its colder out and the top is up, I'm having issues when the doors close. The side flaps don't stay sealed. I have to push then in on the passenger side and roll the window down on the driver side and close them up with my hand.

Do I not have the top installed properly, or is this just an acceptance of having a soft top jeep in the winter time.

Thanks for any help, this site is a goldmine of information.

No that is not normal. Can you post a few pics?

That part is a u-channel that locks around the door surround. It shouldn't be popping out.

My guess....
They not installed correctly. You probably need to make another "90 degree" turn with the side flaps (very common mistake, especially on 4 doors). The flap fits into the channel like a squared "U", not an "L". This probably makes no sense...until you see what you are doing wrong...then it makes perfect sense.

You're not installing them properly, they have an L shape and need to be iserted properly (twisting towards the back) (too late got beaten)

This makes perfect sense as this is what I'm doing. I thought it just went in at an "L" angle as I didn't think it would fit in any other way.

I assumed I was doing something wrong, and I was right.
