2013 spare tire sensor

Do the 2013 jk's spare tires have tire sensors in them?

Yes they have sensors like the other tires, but you don't get a discrete EVIC reading from the spare like the 4 tires mounted to your axles. Not sure how it figures out which tire is which, but I know it can tell a change in pressure in much less than a minute (let some air out and watch the numbers tick down). I'd love to know how they tell which is which.

sensors located by tire location is my guess.

If it is anything like my wife's Grand Cherokee, when you mount the spare, the EVIC starts displaying the newly mounted spare's tire pressure. So I would have to agree with jadmt that the sensor is near the mounted tire.
