2013 Top Help

I just purchased a 2013 JK Door 4 Sahara. I ordered the Jeep with both the freedom hard top and the factory soft top.
some of my issues... the factory softtop gets in the way of the back comparment when the hard top is on. I think I am learning more for a bikini top for the next couple summer months as it looks easier to put off and on.

So here are a few questions?

1. Do I, or should I remove the factory soft top while the hard top is on?

2. What bikni top should I get to cover all pasangers and the rear comparmemnt? do I have to remove the factory soft top if I have a bikini top? can I leave both? should I remove it?

thanks in advance

Not sure on the bikini top as I have never owned one, but the soft top should never stay on while the hard top is on. I know the factory ships it this way, but it will damage your soft top if you leave both on after a while.

I think it says as much in the owners manual.

Welcome to WF

Remove the softop when the hardtop is on...both are on the Jeep right now for shipping only. You will need to lift up the hardtop a bit to do so.

Look into a Spiderwebshade or Dirty Dog shade. Both of those can stay on under the factory soft top and hard top.

Thanks for the quick reply... Lovign my JEEP by the way - much different then my Yukon but fun.

I wanted a Bikini top more for purpuses of prevents gettign rained on when I am at the beach or out on the boat.

I saw one company makes a bikini top and then a bed liner(alomst pick up like) seems like a decent fit - but would have to remove the softtop

I have the moab with the extra top as well. Are there any videos that show where to put those extra plastic pieces and pillars needed in order to use the soft top?
I saw every video on how to put it up and down but I just want to see a video on what parts go where after the hard top is gone
Btw take off the soft top to get your trunk space back anyway

I took off my Hard Top, that was pretty simple and straight forward! However the soft top and the doorjams not so much.

There were not instrustions on how or where to put the plastic rail peices. I figured it out after a while...

I do have a question...

the quarter panel windows... how are they suppost to lay in the door jams? ( between door and plastic peice) wrap all the way into the jam. and does the plastic L shape peice that is sewn into the panel just sit in the jam between the door and jam... I know i am probably not making sense but i will try and attach pics of what i mean tomm or later today

They took ALL THE WAY around. I messed that up the first time as well.
And yeah, getting the bottom under the lip will be tight the first time.
