2013 unlimited tranny problem

Car has 1750 miles on it and just noticed that it is slamming into each gear. Even when I go from park to drive it gives a nice kick. Also as I am decelerating it gives little kicks!!!!! Anyone else have the problem!!!!!!! Wtf

Well I just bought a 2013 and have not experienced that but obviously you need to be going to the dealer.

I have 4000 miles on my 2013 jku and shifts exactly like I would expect it too. When of the nicest shifting automatics I have used.

Might be worth checking u joints in rear drive shaft. Its possible to get a bad one from the factory.

We don't have u-joints in the rear.

I have 1200 miles on my 2013 Sahara and not experiencing the problem. I would recommend getting it to the dealer asap to document the problem. If you have to file the lemon law at a later date and you would win, Chrylser would have to buy the vehicle back minus the mileage on it. They treat it like it was a lease vehicle. Had to do that on my Commander a couple years ago due to an ongoing transmission problem and lost $2500 in the buy back.

does it do it when in manual mode too or just in D? It might be worth trying to reset the ecm by disconnecting the battery for 1/2 hour or so and see what happens. I am going from memory but I recall something about reading in the om that it took a while for the auto tranny to adapt to driving habits and would be erratic at first but seems like you are well beyond that point at 1750 miles

Ummm... look at the source of manufacture on the window sticker. It appears you may have an US made NAG1 as opposed to the German made transmission. I just looked at a 2013 window sticker online and it indicates US made.

I read somewhere in a thread an earlier 2013 build had the German made trans... noted as DE on the window sticker.

I hope the US factory has appropriate quality controls in place... I knew they were bringing production to US, but didn't know the timing of cutover.

I'd take it in... the TCM may be bad.

Good luck and report back with the source of manufacture and the problem found by the dealer.

Another thing with these transmissions, many were shipped with water in the fluid and was a source of failure.... meaning shift and shuttering issues. At minimum, I would insist on a complete fluid evacuation, including the torque convertor.

Again, depending on what the dealer says... take an aggressive stance with them.

Brought to dealer and told me that there is something wrong after a test drive but then told me they can't look at it for at least 2 weeks. It does it only in drive and to make it worse I went to go step on the gas and the engine just reved like it was in neutral starting to think there is something major going on besides a sensor.

Ok so here we go. 3 days before I was scheduled to bring it in the tranny problem clears up. Running normal now. I brought it in anyway and they told me no codes were thrown and couldn't find any other problems. But when I got the car back the interior lights were working again when you enter and exit the car. And just today the interior lights are not lighting when you enter and exit the car. What the hell
