Hmmmm. I don't know. Though I'm patiently waiting for the model year that renders the Pentastar obsolete.

(Kidding folks, just kidding. Seriously, just funnin'!!!)

I think we knew of 2012 changes quite early on in 2011. So I suspect by April/May?

I'd expect they'll probably be available in the late summer/early fall.. but that is just a guess

I saw someplace that they will begin production on "The Volcano Edition" in May. May 15th, I think. That's all I know. They keep things pretty quiet and don't often tell dealers much, hence our salespersons questioning look when we told him that Winter Chill is now orderable w/o the Arctic Package on the Grand Cherokee.

I was all set to order a Winter Chill Sahara 2-door hardtop this week, only to have the dealer tell me that the 7-spoke polished wheels aren't currently available, and that he couldn't tell me when/if I could get them.

WTH? Way to go Chrysler. If you can't build what the customer wants, when they want it, you'll be asking for more bail-out money soon.

I'm calling it a sign. Might just wait for the '13s, if I don't just decide to wait for something else entirely to replace my trusty F150.

Should have kept my TJ.....

I think they are going to upgrade to the 4.0 I6 and put a lot more metal on it. Reduce the size back to a trail rig and....Oh never mind I am thinking of a TJ. LoL

Quite the opposite. I worked at other manufacturers a restricted item was given preference for sold orders. Especially if they call their zone office. What a horrible thing for them to say, why would they talk themselves out of a sale.

2door sahara is pretty rare from what I hear from dealers now, your order would probably go through without a problem although now it's late in the march scheduling cycle, but still! I'd order it. I've worked in research and "the dealer" is the number one rejector reason after purchase or why they didn't buy, for many manufacturers. This gets my goat!

I wish you well and I hope you get a 2012 or 2013 and enjoy it as much as the rest of us.

I doubt there will be any changes for 2013. They used two models years to gradually roll out significant changes to the Wrangler.

Some numbers to almost back this up. An inventory search within 50 miles of my area. When marketing a higher end SUV most in that market will want four doors. However, I doubt that whether you are ordering a two door or four door would affect when it gets built unless there was a shared part between the two models that affected production times such as the rims.

I doubt there will be many changes for 2013 except maybe colors and a price increase

I have to give credit to the color guys at Jeep. Every color they have I like. I have never seen another car that I can say "I love every color."

Same thing happened to me! Ordered an Unlimted Sahara and those wheels were "greyed out" from selection. They couldn't figure it out, but assumed they are being discontinued.

I know. It's always about the next big thing.......But I hear the 2018's are going to be powered by water. Good for mudding (with really good filter of coarse) but bad for desert wheeling.....

For 2013 <insert your favorite, must have wrangler color here> will be discontinued and replaced with something you don't like. I think Jeep is onto something as far as moving their last years' models off lots by presenting worse and worse color options each following year, making last year's "meh" seem great!

Disclaimer: This is not a "I hate the 2012 colors rant", it is a thinly shrouded plea to bring back Rescue Green, Mango Tango and Deep Water Blue.

You can always barter and ask them to insert a HEMI into your new 2011

The new 4Wheeler mag has an interview with the head of Jeep. According to the interview there will be a Jeep based truck in the future and that a diesel in the U.S. is very likely. Neither of which will happen in 2013. Also talk of a smaller sized Wrangler type rig.

Still no more word from my dealer on the wheels, who I bought my '99 from new and know is a stand-up guy.

Like I said, I'm beginning to take it as a sign that it's not to be.

Wife had a '07 Compass which was a great vehicle for an inexpensive 4WD daily driver rig. At least until it got close to 50K, at which point the A/C compressor grenaded. There was a TSB on that, so some ranting to Chrysler got them to cover all but the labor to fix it. Onward to about 60K, and there was a little vibration up front. Tires were about shot, so I figured that was probably the culprit. The tire place tells me the ball joints are about shot, and that the swaybar bushings aren't far behind. And then I find out that you can't replace the bushings without replacing the bar too. WTH.

So down the road it went, and the VW Tiguan that replaced it is 100X the vehicle two years in. Fun to drive too, which the Compass was not. First foreign vehicle I've ever bought, and I can see the appeal.

Now I see issues on here that some are having with the '12s and it's making me question even going with a Jeep again. My TJs both had small issues too. I've had my F150 for 8 years and have done nothing but change oil, put gas in it, and change tires every few years (the way it should be).....
