Also, would it be safe to say that the red one in Pat's pictures is Rock Lobster since it looks to have the new wheels? Dune in the next pic?

That's about right for right now and the Days Supply is accurate. But these #'s don't include what's still being built. You have everything today through built out, about 7.22.2012 that hasn't shown up.

Those new wheels...especially the Sahara's....look like someone was "inspired" by a tap and die set.

Hmmmmmm......

Jeep Service: What issue are you experiencing?

Customer: I'm having a problem with my soft top, according to the brochure it's supposed to be 70% easier to fold compared to the Wrangler I traded in. I have spent the entire afternoon folding and re-folding and the best I can come up with is 57.5%, nowhere near the claimed specs! I even had the wife try and the best she could come up with was 59.4% on her 6th attempt.

Jeep Service: Hmmm, ok, I think we can fit you in on Thursday. It will probably only require a Flash update to fix the problem so it shouldn't take too long.

Customer: Well, that's a relief, I was afraid I had purchased a lemon!
As long as they don't respond: sorry sir, you have to wait in line because we have a 70% increase in ticking noises on our 2013 pentastars

I think it was more of an internal number when they decided it was time to address the issues of the soft top being hard to put up and down. More of a lets make this thing a lot easier.

I don't think we will see "70% easier to fold down" advertised.

@Jet, ordering from the dealer is the best way to go IMO. You get what you want that way. You are correct that the price is for the base price, then you add the options you want. Remember, that is the MSRP, join the tread lightly and you will get a better price. Hope that helps.

And Like I said above, I will be posting invoice as soon as it becomes available. And my 1-2% under invoice deal for forum members still applies on the 2013s.

I doubt we will see any special editions or limited editions available on the first allocation.

Chiming in....love the look of the new seats and super stoked about the new colors. Dune sounds like a light khaki to me. The other brown sounds deeper- perhaps similar to a TJ color that I remember.

I need to see the new wheels on the Jeeps but I'm 99% sure that I won't like the Sahara's and 80% sure that I won't like the new Rubi's. I've always been a big fan of the "old" Rubi wheels and am sure that I can find somebody to take the new ones off my hands

@Pat, thanks for sharing this info as it becomes available. I am looking to buy a 2013 JKU Sahara, however ... I live in NYC. If I order it asap from a dealer, when would be the earliest delivery date?

From what I understand they won't start building the 2013s until the last week of July, my guess is end of August.

2012s will end the week of July 22nd.

Looks like I'll push my order back a little till I see the official pics with the new colors. Sounds really promising.

The rugged brown is a kinda old school deep metallic brown on the GCs. Get that, tan leather, some gold leaf RENEGADE decals on the hood for throwback look. Hmmm.

NOOOOO!!
Man oh man, I sure hope it's because I was so dead set in what I thought I was getting and that I'm being hard headed, but I really don't care for the seats and the rims are hideous, but that is just my opinion. Hopefully it all grows on me, because I'm still getting one

Extremely glad I did not wait for a '13. The more time goes by, the more they are like passenger cars with all these bells and trinkets. Self dimming mirrors? Light up ambiance in the footwell area and cup holders? Yeah, it was cool for the first 10 rides in my 2006 Mustang, but it wears off fast. Even the seats are shaped like car seats. Not digging the changes. Come on Jeep! Money could have been put into so many other areas to actually keep improving these beautiful machines, not just more eye candy. Get a '12 while they last!

A year ago, some with 2011's were saying the same thing about the aluminum engine and "auto-stick".

I'm sure in 2010, people said the same thing about the 2011's and their "car like" interior.....how unJeep like.

Just think of what they said in 2007...a Jeep with 4 doors?

Or in 1997...a Jeep with coil springs!..What? It's always going to be something- personally I'm liking all the 2013 tweaks.

Some good updates, but not really that excited and worth the wait if one can find a good 2012. I would get Dozer for 12 or 13 anyway.

The only thing I really want is new softop and the new tire pressure system, might be map light which can be handy (not the auto dimming mirror, but if it includes homelink than that's another story). Cup holder is a nice touch but wonder what's good is that.
I would have bought hardtop anyway if I waited the 2013, so now just waiting someone drop their 13 soft top to CL

I'm going to do Blue LED strips for front and rear footwell for my 2012 (have done that before for another car) and already order a set of seat covers so the new seat materials don't seem relevant to me (would not have ordered leather seats anyway, a too expensive option)
Wheel? unless it has performance improvement, I really don't care.

I understand all that. To be honest, I have purchased newer Jeeps to gain the advances that they put into them. And there are a couple things that I do see on the '13 I wish my '12 had, but I would not have put off ordering it for those couple items. I just wish instead of adding more flash, they would have addressed some of the more offroading, durability issues that a lot of us seem to be having on this site. I have only owned my '12 for three weeks now, and I already see a few things that are not gonna last. If the thought of cool new wheels and dimming lights gets your attention, that is great. Too each his own. I just know that there is nothing there that is making me second guess my choice. Although I have to admit that I am seriously intrigued by the possibility of a new Brown! Hmmmm......

I've never taken the top up or down by myself yet. For those of you that have, would a spring assist system really make a big difference? Is the top on a 4 door really that heavy? I don't think I've heard anyone complain about that before.

There will always be some nicer improvements each year on any vehicle and some years alot greater than others. That is only way they can justify to keep on inflating the price.
Otherwise there would be no excuse to charge a customer more. Do you think a customer is going to pay more for a product just BECAUSE it cost more to build/make a product and have no improvement ? Like say their labor or material cost goes up and they make no improvements. The people working for a company have to justify their jobs, not like they do in the Government sector. I am most likely going to order a 2013 because for whatever reason in my buying area the 3.73 & Limited Slip were not common options on White Unlimited's on Dealer lots. But if they decide to do a 2k rebate on the 2012's I could widen my search or find one with a few more options than I wanted but beyond my original top amount I set.

Spring assissted top? I wonder if that's just another step closer to offering a fully automatic top when they refresh the body design in a few years?

I like the new Rubi wheels. The Sahara ones are just kinda meh. I'd still go aftermarket like I will (eventually) with my 12. Having said that, there's a couple of nice changes for the 13's, as there should be.

With the Wrangler not having any competitors and still being a hot seller, I think they could raise the price a few hundred bucks and not have to justify it at all. A fully loaded Rubicon is almost as much as Grand Cherokee and doesn't even have a fuel door. Its all supply and demand.

Wow I'm glad I waited. Was about to drive 400 miles to try and get one of the last JKU Rubicon's in Gecko but now I can order it with exactly what I want with the added bonus of good looking wheels!

Keep the good news coming!

Honestly, I don't think people were waiting on 2013's for the improvements as much as it simply may be a case of timing for finances, color choices, or letting the bugs get worked out of the engine/tranny change.

Me...I could go 2012 or 2013. If I find a good deal on a 2012 with what I want (which is the problem), I'll take it. If not, I'll order The only new features I care about are the auto-dimming mirror (for the power supply), saddle cloth in the Sports, and the foot-well light.....none are really deal breakers in my book.

The problem right now is that every 2012 Sport S on the lot is black (which I don't want), and many don't have LSD (which I do want). And any 4 door that is on the lot seems to have 3.21's.
