I like those wheels. Didn't care for the black version. I'm sold. Going to order tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Haha, yeah you might have to give those up for lift kits, winches, tires, wheels, lights, etc..

Yep I'm home and getting ready to turn off the phone. I'm a little beat up this week. Already passed 40 hours and still have 18 to go. Tomorrow night I'll get pics of the cluster.

Still torn between deep cherry red, crush, and white. It will probably be a coin toss between the first two. Will be ordering a 2 door Sahara, manual, dual top group, side air bags, anti spin diff, connectivity group, slush mats, trailer tow group, heated seats.

Sounds cool, nice build. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those colors. I don't see a lot of "crush" around so that can be a really unique look. Have fun buying it. Hopefully your wait won't be too long.

I'm not sure I like the Sahara rims either. However, I ordered my 2013 prior to seeing any pictures. My intention was to find some other ones anyway. Would have been nice for the black ones, but it certainly isn't a deal breaker.

On the spreadsheet, the description said "7 spoke" so I'm pretty sure those optional wheels are the same 7 spoke polished wheels that were available on the 2012. The ones in the pic are probably the standard Sahara wheel which I really like. I can't imagine it would be a big deal to paint them black or any other color if you wanted to since the "satin carbon" area is just paint anyway. What might look really sharp would be to paint the area around each slot body color.

You are correct. I knew it was one of those. I wanted the connectivity as well...so I got Sirius.

Yeah but I was hoping i could avoid that whole thing. It would have just been nice and simple and id have been happy. It would admitedly look cool...if the wheels were black to begin with

Unfortunately, the wheels in Pat's pictures ARE the standard Sahara wheels. The optional ones are polished 7-spoke. Apparently chrysler thinks those wheels are "carbon" which is a mystery. The built sheet was correct, many of us just didn't end up with what we thought we were getting, which is why I guess it's important to take some of these pre-production renderings with a grain of salt. But as can be seen in post # 1415, the Red JKU with the top off has the Sahara wheels without the black, just like Pat showed us today.

I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to order my JKU Rubi w/ side airbags, 4.10/auto tranny, dual tops, 130 radio, tow pkg, connectivity and heated cloth seats. I'll have leather added later. My thanks to all the guys on this forum for all the info which undoubtably has saved me $$$$. I'm going right over to the admin page and signing up as a supporting member.

The new seats look awesome - they look quite comfortable, man I can't wait for my 2013 to get here! I'm curious if Rubicon will be embroidered or how it will look.

Does that mean that the Yellow one right above it has the rubicon wheels shown properly? Where are you getting your information? Do you have some info or are you making a guess based upon what you see there?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of the Rubicon wheel color yet, but if I had to 'guess' they may dissapoint a few as well, because "mineral gray" color (listed for Rubicon wheels) is not as dark as what the renderings seem to show, so that remains to be seen. As for the Sahara wheels, there are currently ONLY TWO possible wheel choices, the standard "satin carbon" OR the 7 spoke polished option. The 7 spoke polished is just like you can order now on a 2012 model. There's only one other wheel than can be on the sahara, which is the standard "satin carbon" wheel and that is what was also listed on the build sheet for Pats delivered sahara and he also verified it was listed as standard equipment. Plus, that wheel only had 5 spokes. Therefore, by logic and process of elimination, what we saw in his picture is unfortunately the standard wheels, known as "satin carbon". I don't see the 'carbon' but maybe i'm color blind. At least the seats are pretty sweet.

I agree with all of your reasoning. I am just hopeful that I am not disappointed; not looking good at this point. Hopefully Pat gets to work early tomorrow and has a Rubicon waiting for him! And his camera is charged.

I'm kind of shocked that so many people like the wheels....They look SO weak to me.... I'm glad I ordered the argent AEV-inspired wheels out of the Mopar catalog.

I'm not like all of these rich (or divorced...or both) guys on here. Im getting what I will be driving mostly as is. I cant justify taking brand new wheels off and buying something else.

Exactly!!! Agreed 100%. I mean when I saw I could get black wheels standard, and load everything else up on a dozer sahara which ended up over 40K, I got the price down a little through my uncle (chrysler employee) and the dealer shaving off another percent under invoice. So I figured I'm good to go with a Jeep I really like. Now without black on those wheels, they look wimpy IMO, and I just refuse to now go spend over another 1K for new wheels. Dozer doesn't sell that well here in MI (like on the coasts) & I can tell my sale guy doesn't want to get stuck with it. I was planning on driving it back to Vegas where it'd fit right in! BUT now it looks really iffy unless the dealer does something (I should note, my particular dealer owns an aftermarket accessories shop right down the street so they might come up with something). If not....

Yes you can, buy a nice set of summer wheels and use your stocks as winter ones

Agree with you! I like the seat style on 2012 much better. Dot like the new look on 2013. I have a 2012 unlimited Sahara and love the 5 spoke silver/grey rim against the bright white. Almost waited for the latitude but did not like the same rim as I have trimmed in black, along with interior finishes in black. The only option I'll miss on 2013 is the real tire monitoring system which advises psi for all 4 tires. Otherwise for price Increase, I'm so happy I found in May what I wanted. I'm sure all the 2013 folks will be happy for the wait to be over. Enjoy all!

I'm sweating the Rubicon wheels as well since I also ordered Dozer. They claim the new wheels are "polished mineral grey". Seems like the term polished means shiny regardless of the color. I'm hoping the polished part refers to the machined lip on the wheel or else the look they are going for wouldn't look quite right. I think Challengers have a similar wheel.

I do think Jeep needs to work on their color descriptions. Anything with the word "carbon" in it should be dark grey or black. I guess on the Sahara, the satin and carbon cancel each other to create polished.
