I don't think the Rubi rims look all that bad. In fact they look better than last years version. opinions vary, I could easily live with them.

Definitely understand...opinions will vary...but to me, both sets look like something that would get put on your Jeep on "Pimp My Ride." I really liked the 2012 Rubi rims. They were understated and sharp. Oh well, I suppose I'll milk the TJ a bit longer...because I am not dropping 35K on something wearing those.

Premium Top and Spring Assist are two separate items

Premium Top is available on 2DOOR

Spring Assist is 4DOOR Unlimited Model Only

That being Said, obviously Premium Top for 4DOOR includes Spring Assist, but so does the regular Top

Now that I have done the lift, I think the 285/70/17 Duratracs are too small. Maybe it's time to sell my black COD rims, rubi tires and the Duratracs and get some 35s. Hmmm time for me to post in another area this week.

I can give it a stab -- just don't get what you're asking for without maybe going back and reading more... what you're looking to see is a 2DR commando body with... (what do you mean by match the wheels?)

Should I be concerned at all that I ordered on Monday 7/23 and have not received an email at all. If I am just being impatient, I can try to keep it at bay, but most seemed to have gotten the initial email within 5 days. My dealer I would be getting the emails.

I am not a guy, but I agree...I want to be able to order what I want with out having to make all sorts of mods. I can afford to get what I want, but I want my Jeep as a daily driver.

I like the new wheels, my husband doesn't, but I knew what I was getting when I ordered. I have to drive it. I haven't really modified my other cars, except for some programing and air filters.

I ordered the same day and I'm in the same boat. I also checked the website with my VON and I'm not in the system yet. Just have to be patient but it's not easy.

Any update on Katzkins? Will they again include the 115V outlet on the Sports? (And will they again include the power package on the 4 door base sports?).

And what's up with the 2013 Freedom Edition?

2013 Freedom Edition in Commando with (free? heated?) leather would almost be worth getting....especially if that one came with 115V outlet.

Think he was asking to make the wheels commando as well.

Ahh.. Kind of thought that was the direction he was going in. Not my thing but.. Here's a couple variants - Don't feel like doing the Rubicon wheel right now. Time to get some sleep I think. Do you all think this is about right for commando?

Jeep Wrangler Newbie

I just wanted to thank all of you for educating me on Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's in just a few hours time! It amazes me how much information I received on the 2013 models in such little time!

I do have a question concerning the differences between a Sahara, which had been my preference being that's mostly what I see here on Long Island, and a Rubicon. What would be the reasons for buying one as opposed to the other?

Also, I was in a Jeep dealership the other day and he showed me a 2012 True Blue 2 door. Is that the same as the one that will be on the 2013 model? Or is a True Blue Pearl for 2013 going to be darker? Because the one I saw was a VERY light blue and nothing like a Black color that some had mentioned.

Looking forward to your responses!

A million opinions...but this one is mine:

The Sahara is a very tricked out Wrangler...with a lot of creature comforts. It has a lot of bling and "auto this and that". Like any Wrangler, it is capable off-road...but not as capable as a Rubicon...unless you mod it.

The Rubicon is tricked out for serious off-roading instead of bling...for someone who doesn't feel like doing mods themselves...or who wants a head start. It does not come standard with many of the bells and whistles that come standard with a Sahara. e.g., alarm system, power door locks, power windows...but they can be added as options.

This doc (also linked to on page 1) provides a good overview of the differences between the base models:

While I don't think True Blue is almost black, it IS a dark blue. Are you sure you were not looking at Cosmos Blue? That was also a 2012 color that is basically....Smurf blue.

All Wranglers are very capable....but the Rubi is set up for more off-roading with items like lockers, electronically disconnecting sway-bars, shorter (numerically higher) axle ratios, and 4:1 transfer case.

Well I just looked at every dealers website within a 50 mile radius (38 total dealers). There are a ton of 2013's that are arriving "in transit" (probably a dozen dealers), but not a single one of them had saddle interior. Odd...
