Put as much research into your loan as you put into the specs for your Jeep. Get an estimate from a CU, bank and the dealer. Let them compete for your business, there are online payment calculators to fine tune the transaction, your insurance co will give an exact quote once you have the vin, so there should be no surprises.

I am still shopping for my loan as my order is less than a week old. FWIW, my salesman said he would meet any quote I brought in, saying they weren't tied to Ally. Money is getting cheaper every day for over 760 FICO buyers.

Knowing you got your best deal will help you smile every month when you write the check.

I would suggest coming in pre approved at a nice rate that you qualified for. If you want to give the dealer the chance to beat it, then thats fine. There are a small number of bad dealers out there that will lie to you and tell you that you have a lower credit score than you actually have. Those bad dealers want to get you locked into a worse rate, as they get to keep the interest rate difference you would be paying. Those types of dealers are rare, but they are out there. Coming in pre approved prevents those types of games from being played. Shop around online and with credit unions. For those with excellent credit, rates under 3% are out there.

They're not really deep, imo... They're in the Mopar catalog.... Basically, they are the AEV Pintlers with a Jeep center cap.

Just a heads up for those looking to finance.
Digital Credit Union right now is doing 1.99% for up to 72 months. That is if you qualify. You have to do certain things to get that rate. It is not hard to qualify just make sure when you go in to apply TELL THEM what you plan to do to make sure you have all your ducks in a row. If you do not qualify I think the rate is only 2.49% anyway.
$20,000 for 72 months at 1.99% is $295 a month with a
total payback of $21,240. So it only costs $1,240 to borrow.
Not bad if you ask me ......

Do you need to get the towing package to get the 3.73 gears? or can you just order the 3.73s?

I think it's a stand alone option. I happened to order both but think I could have ordered just the 3.73 gears for $95.

It could be because you're comparing a passenger side Sport seat to a drivers side Sahara seat. The passenger side seat has the easy-entry track mechanism under it whereas the drivers side does not.

No yellow for 2013. If youre thinking of Dozer, to me it's more orange than yellow. I like the yellow they offered in 2011 called detonator yellow. Anyway I'm happy with the white. I think they look great when lifted with black beadlocks.

usaa basically matches invoice of dealer. tread lightly is 1% under invoice.

I don't really see folks who jump straight from yellow to white very often. I think the white ones look good with black wheels and fenders, otherwise they look kinda government looking.

If you are credit savy and have good credit....you should be able to spot a "bad dealer" a mile off......

If you have good credit you probably know it.....

White with black fenders and top looks like a stormtrooper mobile to me. Not a bad thing - I think they look great in white. Also, I've found strangely enough that white seems to stay cleaner looking - not that you're looking for that when you buy a wrangler ha ha. ALSO... I've heard that white cars attract insects? - could be an old wives tale, but I've gotten it from reputable sources...

Sorry if this has been posted, but is the interior plastic a lighter color on the 2013s vs the 2012s?

I think the JK looks sharp in white- especially with black fenders and a black hard top (sorry, white saharas!). I considered white but ended up going with old trusty black. If I had gone with a white one I would've put black rims on it, along with a lot of black body armor on it to break up all the expanses of white, and maybe one of those big black hood decals...

I agree with breaking up the white with a hood decal. I went ahead and got black decals for the hood, they say Rubicon and boy were they expensive!

+1

1.99% is a hella deal. I work at a big bank, and the best I could get with an employee discount (-0.5%) was 2.49%.

You have to take the auto withdraw for the lower rate with DCU, but with any other loan I've had, you can cancel that right off the bat.

Funny, I never heard the insect wives tale, but the first day I drove our brand new white Civic to work, it was covered in ants by the end of the day. That was the only time that ever happened though and that was 3 years ago. Never heard of it happening to anyone else.
