The shocks are King Pin-Tops and yes, they were not cheap. They were actually built custom for this truck. Shocks are attached to a Sage Carli lift kit that was also custom built (by a Baja pro) for this truck. It rides and handles like an 8K+ sports car. I get lot of compliments on her so I can't imagine it will take long to sell her. Just trying to make up my mind first.

Not a fan of the 2013 "saddle fabric that really isn't fabric"

Looking at pics of the Dark Saddle leather interior for 2012 on the Jeep website, is the top of the center console really still gray?

Having 4 doors is a must for me. My issue is I have sank around 20K into this truck. 23k miles and change. I will lose out some but it's expected. This isn't the first time I have gone crazy with a 4x4 and I am sure it will not be my last
Makes sense. I still love pickups, but I finally admitted to myself that I never used the bed, could never find a place to park in the city, and I didn't need a big V8 to commute to work. Still, I miss the interior cockpit space (for the driver at least), the towing/pulling capacity, the ability to sleep in the back, and the look. Hopefully I will like my 2013 as much as my old Dodge & Ford trucks!

The frustrating part is the whole staggered/allocation process. If you want to see Billet or Commando Green in person...BEFORE you order....you probably won't actually get your Billet or Commando Green Jeep until November at best because those colors won't hit dealer lots until October. So sometimes you have to take a leap of faith.

I'll have to go see the interior in person....but if I don't like it, I'll be kinda ticked because it means I could have ordered Dozer with black interior back in June.
Indeed, I can understand wanting to have it sooner than later and taking a leap of faith, been there / done that. I certainly hope those get what they envisioned it would be.

Personally, when it concerns things that are hard to replace/correct (such as the body color or interior) reason has to win over passion. I had decided on black / black leather, but due to circumstances I want to wait with my order and Billet sounds very tempting to me, so I will wait and see.

I know Billet is a late availability, however as far as I can tell it is not available for a limited amount of time, correct?

I love the room and abilities of this super duty. Love taking it on longer trips because there is so much room inside of the cabin. as far as towing, nothing compares to a diesel. You never even know anything is behind it. I never use the bed for heavy stuff (rocks, wood chips etc), I normally use a trailer as who wants to dump rocks int he back of an $XXXXX truck!? Not me.

Looking at some of the threads about engine issues is freaking me out a bit. My buddy in MI has two 2012 Rubicon Unlimiteds and no problems that I am aware of.

Be careful, my wife and I made up my mind to sell my 2500HD Diesel back in May and get a Jeep but couldn't find a 2012 with what I wanted so ordered a 2013 Rubicon 4 door (which has now been delayed indefinitely). In June and July, since we still had the truck we used it with our camper a couple of times and decided we could not part with that camper just yet, too many great memories and my 11 year old son still loves it. Got to keep the truck so long as I have the camper so if my new Rubicon ever does come in we'll be a 3 car family for 2 drivers once again and I'll have a loan on the new Jeep instead of paying for it outright. Oh well, at least the truck, camper and my wife's Rubicon are paid off. Only live once

From the looks of things, Billet will run until at least the end of the model year...but you never really know with Jeep.

Winter Chill have a very short run in 2012.

Milous and Pat are usually pretty good at letting everyone know when a color will close out.

I literally have gotten rid of everything except a 4 wheeler and the bass boat. I would miss the truck if I sell her for sure, but I will live. A Rubicon will fit the bill.

Don't know if this has been posted but once again did some searching on YouTube for the 2013 and came across this video showing the soft top spring assist on a True Blue Unlimited Sport Wrangler. I must say I am loving the True Blue color; really shows in this video.

Well, I can't say I am a fan of the saddle stripe interior, the chrome grill or the wheels with a nipple on them!

Well, decided to visit my local Jeep dealer in preparation for ordering my commando rubi on Saturday or the 7th. Asked for the fleet or internet manager. They had no idea what to tell me about the color availability and didn't have a clue what to say about what the price would be with my control number. Basically I just wanted to know if they would do 1% under invoice or 2%. He actually went to jeep.com to configure options.

I left them with my phone number so they can call once they can answer my two questions. May go visit the next closest dealer, 30 min away.

When I ordered I contacted 6 local dealers (being in greater Metro Boston there are 17 Jeep dealers within a 17 mile radius of where I live) and the responses were all over the map, 2 insisted you couldn't order a 2013 while dozens of people on this forum already had placed orders. I ended up going with the one with the most educated response who also gave me his best price right up front (2.5% under invoice). Whether that truly was his best price I'll never know but from what I saw on this forum it seemed good enough for me. Based on how your visit went I'd say move on.

I'm actually relieved the saddle cloth isn't really saddle colored. The 2012's were mostly black with saddle streaks blended in with black and grey on the seats, overall looked pretty much black which I liked. I was worried 2013s with cloth would be all saddle colored which would show a lot more dirt. I really just like the two tone dashboard pieces. The all black interiors at the dealer to me seemed kinda budget looking, plus they looked too dark inside.

At this time of the year, 2.5% under invoice is damn good. I think the most anyone has pulled off this early in a model year (last year) might have been 3% under..maybe....and I think that was closer to the fall (End of 3rd Q).

Holy Cow, yep, called the second dealer (Columbia, MO) and they said I couldn't order 2013 yet. Again, they had no clue about T/L discount nor color availability. I swear I will call Pat and order it and just road trip when it gets here if this keeps up.

That's what I did, of sorts. My 4 local dealers were clueless -- but eager to help I should mention. They all said they'd research and get back to me. One did, the other 3 did not. I decided to go through Pat and will be picking mine up at Fields Auto in Sanford, FL, which is about 2 hours away for me.

I was looking about the same time as dhDad and pretty much the same area. I am a little Northwest of him so I even contacted some Southern NH dealers. I use/have an I-Pad with like 500 apps ... lol ... So with all the info from this thread I was armed to the teeth with info that most of the Dealers could not even explain. What was even kewl was being able to show them photos of the 2013 stuff that they didnt even have. What was great also was that I have an App that I was even able to number crunching of loans as I was in the Dealer lot. Also my I-Pad has a celluar connection so when a Salesman could not answer a question or tried to pull a fast one. I could just log on and get the info and put it right in their face to see. I also settled for 2 1/2% below Invoice without any rebates or trade-ins.
I thought it was a fair deal !

I am planning to order a JKU Rubicon as soon as Comando opens. Today I pulled a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Window Sticker off a Denver dealer Website. I then entered it into the spreadsheet on Post #1 to see what the invoice would be. When I finished the spreadsheet MSRP was almost $1,000 higher than the Window Sticker. In reviewing the numbers it is because the spreasheet shows a Base Price or $34,920 vs a Window Sticker base of $33,995.

Does anyone have a dealership/salesperson recomendation in Denver/CO Springs area?

I'm 7 hours and 16 minutes from him. I may do it too unless I get some answers back from the two dealers I've contacted.
