For anyone interested, Kelly's Blue Book now has pricing for the 2013's listed. It includes all options and models.

So my estimated ship date keeps getting pushed further out. It's now 8/16 which is a full 3 and a half weeks later than the original ship date of 7/23. Estimated to land at my dealer 8/21, right in the middle of my vacation so looks like I won't be taking the new JKUR with me camping this summer.

Nice find! I wonder if there will be additional charges for the late availability colors, or when dune might be added.

I got 2% off a Rubicon without TL. Just e-mailed six different dealers, told them exact options I wanted, and stated exactly what I wanted to pay (a $ amount that was 2% below invoice). Two of them went for it; one said he'd do it if I got TL, the other was fine without TL.

For everybody considering going with aftermarket soft top tinting, I hope we're talking about changing out the windows completely right? You can't really get vinyl windows tinted can you?
I am aware that the side mirrors don't dim. I was saying that they should do that too. I mean they are already heated so might as well go all out. The auto dimming mirror is a nice feature but honestly I can't remember the last time I had to flick to night mode. The Jeeps sit high as it is and with the tinted glass and spare tire and let's be honest, with the hard top on and even the stock tire in the back there isn't a lot of window to look out of. For the top down night driver this can be very helpful especially with every knuckle head putting in aftermarket lights and not aiming them properly. Again you may get 1 in 20 cars driving behind you with either high beams on by accident or out of focus aftermarket lights. The pros out weigh the cons on the mirrors for me and I wouldn't mind getting one. It hasn't been a problem enough for me to need one. I just want one.

Looks like it. Challengers have been available in that color; if you Google "Billet - Dodge Challenger" or some variation thereof, you'll see it.

Question

Slightly off-topic, but I have a question for those who have both soft & hard tops. I will deal with all the windows separately, but my question is with hanging the main component on the wall for storage. Is there any "official" what NOT to do? Provided I have equal support through the length of the soft top, is this OK? Please pardon the crudity of my drawing.

Yeah that lol. I forgot how you go about getting it but this is a very popular and easy no hassle option that all dealerships honor.

Just got off the phone with 1877iamjeep and after being in Final inspection for 5 days they final moved it to shipping after they fixed this whole "quality control" (a little birdy told me it was a problem with the Rubicons Windshields on several jeeps). and im looking to get my first jeep by the end of this week. A week later then schedulaed but well worth knowing that they found and solved any problem it had.

I appreciate it. I am a USAA member as well. Sure would be nice to be able to combine both. Sounds like USAA is the route to go. I will check it out further. Thanks again.

I remember the waiting. It will be all worth it in the end. Hang in there bud.

Personally I think that sounds cool- I probably would have volunteered to wait a week in order for Jeep to conduct an extra QC test on my Jeep!

billet wait

another reason i'm glad i waited for billet, i just decided to get the standard stereo and then upgrade to a kenwood dnx7190hd. it's only $200 more
but so much better than the 420n package.

My estimated ship date has been changing daily. It was the 20th of August and it is now August 13th. Sooooo, we will see. I check everyday and we have called and that is all I can get.

not all...my local dealership had no clue about it; but would match another dealership that did.

That was my intention too with getting the base radio. I always upgrade OEM head units. So I figured I'd cheap out on this one too since it will be relegated to the corner of the garage to gather dust right off the bat. I still haven't settled on which aftermarket HU to go with though.

Same here. While waiting for Commando to come out I spent a great deal of time researching my options so as to not make a mistake. I ended up changing from the 420n to the standard for the same reason. Also, took off the max tow package and added remote start instead.

Yes. I got 3.7% below invoice with USAA.

But they changed the quote process. The first time I went through it, I received emails with three quotes from dealers that clearly stated how much below MSRP their prices were. A few days later when I did it, I received three emails with the dealers' contact information and was instructed to call them. That wasn't quite as informative.

I haven't actually purchased my vehicle because I'm waiting for the leather option (tomorrow?! maybe?!) and the USAA dealer that I like is too far away, but the sales rep was SO informative that I was able to take his numbers and negotiate with a local dealer. As thanks, I plan to write up a few positive reviews of the USAA sales rep...

-Lorene

p.s. I'm eligible for Chrysler's Affiliate Rewards (that's the discount you can also get by signing up for a three-year membership with Tread Lightly), but I haven't tried combining the discounts. 1.) I don't think that's allowed, and 2.) I haven't actually placed my order yet. Let us know if you're able to make it happen for yourself, though!

Rear windows, back side windows and rear window are
all tinted on both my soft top and 3 piece hard top.

DHdad .... if ya lived closer I come take ya for a ride
to help ease the pain of waiting

Took it to work today for the 1st long ride.
dammm ..... i love this frigging thing.
Had a problem on how to work the interior lights
but finally figured how to this morning.
Also it has a small problem :-(
The is air whooshing in on the bottom left corner of the
drivers side front window and the dash. Either gasket
installed wrong or maybe a plug in firewall missing and
the air comming in up behind dash up to windshield.
Either way no biggy buy annoying when windows rolled
up and radio off. I am sure an easy fix. Might try the
Sunrider option on the way home if no rain.
Rob ....
