I found out today now est delivery on my dozer JKUS is 8/25, yet it was build back on 8/9 & I'm only 2.5 hrs north of Toledo!!! WTF!!?? My dealer is trying to contact their DM to try & expedite it. Just so disappointing & frustrating. They said it was supposed to be red tagged & shipped swiftly since it was a sold order. Either way, to build it & send it to storage for nearly 3 weeks is beyond ridiculous. First the leather delay, now this. Maybe it'll get bumped up. Fingers -X-ed.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man!

I saw both wheels in person at a local dealership when I ordered my JKUR today, and I much prefer the new Rubicon wheels (as do many others on this Forum.) So, let's just agree to disagree!

Thanks so much for posting this. I don't have the Photoshop skills and have been trying to picture these new rims on a dozer. This is the exact looking JKUR I ordered so I don't have to use my imagination anymore!!!!!! Still not sure what to think of the rims, I might plasti-dip over the metallic portion and make that black. What do you all think? Can anyone Photoshop that?

Billet isn't scheduled to begin production until September 4(ish), so you'll probably be about a month out from there to delivery if the trend holds. So you're looking at probably 7 weeks from now -- give or take a few days.
He could have given me more % off if he wanted to, that's all I'm saying. All $ is negotiable.

I'm in South Tampa; thanks for post info; Jim Browne right? Can you share a first name as a POC? I'll bypass Jerry Ulm and Courtesy in Brandon and try North Tampa. Heck of a lot closer than Homosassa too. :-)

I used tread lightly to start my negotiating. He took 3% under invoice and no dealer fee like it was nothing. No haggling, it was very nice, no back and forth with the sales manager crap. Talked price through E-mail. Went in the next morning and ordered it, got my VON right then and there and walked out the door after putting $500 down. Should have shot for 4 or 5% because it was just too easy. I am very happy with my salesman, no pressure, professional but very easygoing.

The waiting is the hardest part.

BTW, I used Ferman last year to buy my Grand Cherokee. After walking out 4 times, calling back and cheap salesman tricks with the sales manager I still don't feel like I got a deal. Felt like I needed to disinfect when I got home. And there service is terrible. If you think something is wrong with your jeep there better be a TSB or they ain't fixing it. They are closer to me but I won't go back. There price through e-mail on my new Rubi was $2k more than north Tampa.

It pains me to have to drive one (especially off road I suspect). But with 3 kids it gets the Jeep in the driveway -- and that's the important part.

You aren't the only one.... I ordered a Sahara JK. I don't have a need for the 4 doors (no kids) and my Yukon is more than roomy enough.

When I first saw them I thought they looked too "sports car" but I'm definitely warming up to them. The more I see them, the more I like them. Especially on the white and black jeeps.

Now, the Sahara wheels...not much warming going on there yet. I don't know, maybe they look better in person, but the pics I've seen so far don't make me a fan.

Nice Jeep! You're lucky that you got the grad discount- my dealer wouldn't even consider the incentives that aren't officially available for 2013.

1st post ! Been lurking here for several months, just taking in all the info. Tried talking to my local dealers and they were playing the MSRP game. E-mailed pat@fieldsjeep.com and he took all the "drama" out of the deal. Straight forward, honest answers just like he gives here in the forum.

Anyway, ordered a Dozer JKUR yesterday from Pat and it was the easiest new vehicle purchase ever. If you are in the market to buy a 13, I'd highly recommend dealing with Pat.

Thanks to keschete for posting the Dozer Rubicon picture yesterday ! That's the 1st 2013 JKUR Dozer picture I've seen. (dozer with new wheels)

Also, thanks to everyone else that makes this forum a fun & interesting place to learn about Wranglers. You saved me a ton of headaches and $$$.

Not sure if this had been posted already, but AEV put out a release regarding 2013 compatibility (including TPMS):

Quote:
Friday, 10 August 2012 11:43
2013 Product Compatibility

2013 JK WRANGLER PROCAL COMPATIBILITY

The 2013 JK Wrangler utilizes a new, multi-channel TPMS system that provides the driver with individual tire pressure readings. We are currently developing new software for our ProCal Module that is compatible with this new TPMS system. Customers who use our current ProCal module on 2013 Jeep JK Wrangler's may experience a low tire pressure warning light if tire pressure drops below the factory setting. Customers with a 2013 JK Wrangler can either choose to wait to purchase a ProCal or Suspension until we release the new module (we don’t anticipate it taking too long, but don’t have a date at this point) or to buy the current version and send it in for a re-flash to the new code when available. The re-flash will take 1-2 weeks and will be done at no charge. AEV will cover the shipping back to the customer, the customer will be responsible for the shipping cost to AEV. All other programming features of the current ProCal Module remain fully functional on the 2013 JK Wrangler.
2013 JK WRANGLER HEAT REDUCTION HOOD COMPATIBILITY

The 2013 JK Wrangler now features dual windshield washer nozzles. Our current Heat Reduction Hood design accepts a single windshield washer nozzle. We suggest that our customers simply replace the t-fitting and dual windshield washer lines with a single windshield washer line and a straight barbed fitting when installing our Heat Reduction Hood on a 2013 JK Wrangler. Customers will also need to purchase parts # 55156728AB from Mopar, which is the earlier model windshield washer nozzle.
2013 Product Compatibility

Yes, that was total luck, my dealer has a "pop up" when you visit the website that says "all new grads and veterans" get the $500, it didnt specify so I brought a copy of my wife's shiny new diploma and it worked...

Pat posted the fine print (I'm assuming updated) of the grad discount in a thread dedicated to that topic, and the text included 2013 MY Wranglers.

If I see those '70s Cutlass Supreme wheels one more time I'm going to throw up. People honestly like those? Ick.

All that matters right now is that we want to see actual photos of Commando Green and Billet. Until then, this thread should be locked down.

Billet is going to be AWESOME especially on the Sahara.
