Actually, the Jeep site looks like Saharas and Rubicons get EVIC and advanced TPMS standard.

So, you're saying I shouldn't change the 430 for the 730??

EVIC is not standard. You have to have the connectivity group. I have a 13 JKR with the 430N, and no connectivity group. I do not have EVIC

I wouldn't just so you can get streaming Bluetooth audio since it should come with it anyway. It looks like had issues when they first came out with the audio quality, but that may have changed by now with all the software updates since then. I'd read up on it. They use the same 430 N on Grand Cherokees and other Chrysler products. Lots of info out their.

I say then I can't find any mention of it after I build and price without Connectivity group. It also says I get coat hooks but no grab handles with the Rubicon, but I ended up getting both. More proof that Jeep's website is some poor reference material.

Misleading as the build and price website for JKR says " NEW Standard Tire Pressure Monitoring with EVIC". Nice work Jeep.

On our website, it is somewhat awkward how to get to the 2013's. On the main page, choose your jeep, which initially shows 2012. Then a yellow tab is at the top to choose the 2013.

What if I decide I no longer want the hassle of TPM sensor? Can I take them out and turn off the system?

Did not know! You will love the 730N the graphics alone and the nav are crisper, more adult like for lack of another phrase. You will not get blocked with signals either when in a garage or crowded city the 730n holds it connection. Many other great features but I have to run. Go on this forum and view, there are many postings regarding this topic. Enjoy

Craving some info on the 10th anniversary rubi. Not sure if I can wait until March! Do we know if March is actual availability/on the lot date, or is it the announcement date?

How long after ordering should I receive confirmation of the order from either Jeep or the dealer?

Deployed now, so did an email order on the 28th of Aug. Been 10 days and havent seen anything?

Shouldnt I have gotten a Purchase Order Confirmation (thought this was what it was called?) right away with a VON and stuff?

Thanks!

When I put a $500 deposit down, my dealer hand wrote the VON down on the sales guy's business card. Two business days later, I got the email from VOTS, with the same VON. Then I was able to log into VOTS with my last name and VON. This was two weeks ago, after August allocates closed and before Sept ones opened up.

I'd first unsubscribe to this thread, find another hobby for the next 4 months, then check this thread out again in Jan/Feb. you'll go insane tracking this thread that long hoping to hear more about it. Then you'll just find out the 10th Anniversary Rubi are just like normal Rubi's but with last year's COD bumpers and black wheels and another $10K added to the price. And a bunch of decals.

I'm sure it's possible, but I don't think I've ever heard of anyone really finding this feature to be a hassle.

Yes, you can turn them off use a Pro-Cal module. Right now they are working on the programming to get the pro-cal to work with the 2013 models that have the 4 wheel monitoring.

Had to go to local dealer to test the 430N w/connectivity for myself. Streaming worked! Called my dealer back and kept the 430N.

I got the 430N because I wanted a visual screen for the radio...and in that respect, it is great. Mission accomplished.

Nav? It pales in comparison with my $200 Garmin 2595 LMT.

I can talk to my 2595 without even pushing a button to start the conversation. I just say "Garmin" and it is ready to take direction...and then I can simply say "Find Address 123 Elm Street, Anytown, Somestate" in a normal speaking voice and at a normal rate and it displays the correct address 9 times out of 10. It also works when I am driving...for less than the cost of a MyGig Lockpick. It also displays traffic overlaid on the map...and comes with quarterly map updates for life...for free. It also displays pictures of each exit as I approach...and can display all "exit services" at an upcoming exit.

Yeah, it smokes the 430N...so it's a good thing that I also got the screen for other reasons. That said, there was no way that I was paying even more for the 730N...especially when I might just stick my portable GPS to my windshield anyway. I really miss it.

Is the TPMS more of a hassle than it it worth. I've been driving for a decades with one and so far I'm still alive.
Keep in mind ALL JK's since 08 have TPMS. The only difference in the Connectivity group for 2013 is that the EVIC will show the individual pressures of each tire, rather than a generic low pressure tire message. If you don't get the EVIC, you will still get TPMS and the generic warning light. The system can be disabled once AEV updates the ProCal for the 2013 models.

Also keep in mind the Connectivity group also gets you the USB port in the console, as well as the steering wheel controls for UConnect, which are handy as well.

Just got my 13 Crush JKUR!!! Amazing!!! I got the the 430N and connectivity, it works great. To my understanding the 730N has live traffic and better graphics but less internal memory. For the price difference I will stick with the 430. The 730 also comes standard with bluetooth where the 430 you have to get connectivity for the bluetooth, 730 also lowers price of connectivity group (internal comp, gas mileage and other persoanl settings) regardless of which one you get there is a usb in the center console i believe, but the usb on the 430 screen is only for adding files, the 730 on screen usb also has the same features as the arm rest usb. The other thing I love about the new Jeep is the rear view mirror!!!

Good luck everyone! I love my jeep rubicon and have had so many compliments! Ps- I named her Rubi.

It kills me to say that I know you're probably right :-(

Still, too much fun reading this thread, and plenty of good tidbits to pick up. I'll hang around and cross my fingers that 10A Ed is not a bust :-)

True! I have asked this before but no response. The 2012 and 2013 are basically the same regarding the dash and electronic layout. How do we get the TPMS for individual tire displayed as the 2013. I know will have to get the sensor installed in each tire but there must be a way to reprogram the information center on the dash.

I dont recall the reason but Pat stated earlier in this thread that it was not possible to get individual tire displays on pre 2013s.

Thanks for answering! I can't imagine why not. I sat in a 2013 and the menu on the dash informant system is identical. It had everything the 2012 has with the tire display for all four tires. So why can't someone reprogram? Then install the sensors in the tires? Going to have to research further! Thanks again

Just FYI, I have the 13 430N and conectivity group. I discovered today that I can not only use the blue tooth for call, but it will stream the music off my I phone via blue tooth and it sounds like the phone is plugged in, it was awesome! The only thing I have found so far is that I can't get SMS on the I phone through the radio, but it is the phone that isn't compatible.

I didn't go back and read the whole thread....if you have any questions, I can check them out for you. I am 100% pleased with the 430.
